this guy is too underrated. hollywood is wasting his talent by not giving him main roles.
I'm sure he's been offered some big roles by now. Judging him on the films he's already done, I think he chooses to stay on the independent circuit.
Being a brilliant actor doesn't mean you should be in the main roles. The best, most acting driven roles are normally the villains - and the villains are never the main character.
***** he may be underrated, but he is still richer than most bigger actors
***** Capote
Hollywood has no good main roles to offer
He will win Oscar one day. I guarantee that.
Agreed
At the very least a Lifetime Achievement Oscar.
Paul Dano is probably one of my most favourite actors yet so underrated. However, I kinda like that. He really is a fantastic actor and can really capture certain characteristics such as narcissism, sadism, eccentricity and brutality.
He honestly is a phenomenal actor yet so underrated. I know some people like to take a back seat, but he is such a talent I'd hate to see it go to waste by not having at least one commercial movie in which he's the lead. His performances in Little Miss Sunshine, There Will Be Blood, Prisoners and 12YAS were are so subtle yet sublime. The aggravation he caused from his small part in 12YAS clearly shows how great he is. Prisoners, too.
I think he's pefectly content with his career, playing opposite robert de niro AND daniel day in two really brilliant films.
I like how he maintains a lowkey image and kind of keeps in touch with his own character and rawness, kind of a very grounded person. He has a great range but also doesn’t lose himself in the process (lose himself as in like have an identity crisis)
I don’t think Paul is underrated at all. The industry knows how talented he is; I suspect he is picky about the roles he chooses and that is why you don’t see him in the huge blockbuster films. He’s in it for the long haul.
I saw Paul Dano for the first time as Pierre,in War and Peace.A great actor,no doubt!!! Hope to see more of him in the future.
i loved his acting in Prisoners!
I couldn't believe he was human he is so smart ass and so witty without thinking of himself like hey here i am and i apreciate his character and incredibly personality.
This guy will forever be my favourite actor👌👌
Young actors deserve being recognized specially when so overskilled and talented.
Martin Scorcese , I know you have your golden boy in Leonardo Dicaprio ( personal favourite actor), but can you please make a movie with Paul Dano please, this guy is brilliant!
Paul Dano is the best
Such an amazing and underrated actor!
His acting in Prisoners was amazing and I hope he gets to play more roles and be a more popular actor like he deserves :)
The chemistry between him and Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood is unparalleled. Amazing actor who gets far too little credit.
Dano is a very interesting actor who often plays creepy, pathetic figures who suffers either tragic consequences or who endures painful torment throughout the course of the drama.
My fave actor!
they always make him look nerdy in his roles buts hes a handsome guy
I hated most of the characters he played, which is a good thing because his acting is amazing. This is the first time I've heard him speak in an interview and I am a fan.
Amazing actor!
I'm so amazed by Paul's work !
Got damn underrated!!
this guy reminds me of Edward Norton, great actor.
Omg i love him 🙉
He's my imaginary husband
+Queeniexx 2000 😉😝👌🏻
Love and support this amazing, authentic actor
One of the best actors of his generation
Why am I crying-
He's a really great actor!
3:06 AND THEN HE PLAYED THE RIDDLER
He's awesome!! I'm sure he's gonna get great things soon!!
This guy in 12 years a slave made this song and it's really catchy no joke
Fantastic actor
I love you, Paul !!!
Genius. I wish he'd have leading roles.
If someone said I looked like Sam Cassell I would smack them on-air.
Brilliant brilliant actor man!!
He is nature born villain kind of actor. Hes good!
This guy is always getting beaten up lol.
Classic.
this guy could make a serious beating so serious ! Its extraordinary
4:52 oof
Wow honestly I never knew who he was untill now. The mkid that played in the girl nexr door. Wow from stupid teebage movie to amazing movies like 12 years a slave. He even got a credit in tge trailor while sarah poulson did not. Thatd crazy
I'll keep in mind to only send lactose-free milkshakes to his table if I ever meet him
Reminds me of these Crime Watch Daily shows where you think you know the person is guilty of the kidnapping or murder, etc and in real life if someone could snatch those people and Really make them talk like Hugh Jackman's character in the movie.
I hope this isn't the entire interview. It's way too short.
The maze. He's in the maze
Whoever the hell decided that his last name should be pronounced DAY-NO instead of DAH-NO made the worst fucking marketing decision I've ever heard in the history of marketable names.
He has his own drinks. Called Dano' s milkshake. It's true.
he doesn't eat or drink dairy, so...nice try.
He looks like my freinds oskar the Pehrsson ;)
What a boring crowd. Keep up the amazing Dano.
That was a bit rude to say, "Yeah, Leonardo DiCaprio is better,".
The guy knows how to seek out projects. Think about the movies he's it?
Anytime anyone asks actors about Brad Pitt’s accent, I.e Canadian, Irish, English etc they always hesitate with their responses. Pitt is a great actor, but his accents are appalling
The guy interviewing him is incredibly annoying
This guy will forever be my favourite actor👌👌
