I think, especially with hobbyists, there isn't very good information on what all the mediums and different kinds of paint are for. It doesn't help that manufacturers obfuscate what their products are by inventing new names or descriptions for them either. I'm only just getting into the hobby of painting, and have had a heck of a time working out what any given medium is for, how to mix paints well, etc. This information exists, but it's largely tered across the web in data sheets, websites, or buried in random painting videos as 'tips and tricks' Edit: fixed typo
@@nonamo5700 that's one reason for this channel. I'm trying to compile all of that information in easy to search for things. Not about views and all about having information out there for people who need it.
I totally support the strike. Vallejo is one of the only brands I can get off the shelf around here aside from citadel, but I'll support a boycott. my full kimera and monument sets can carry me through most things aside from when I'm working on an army. Knowing they are a union shop does make me more inclined to buy from them to fill in the holes of my collection once the strike is over. Does anybody know if Army Painter is a union shop?
@@mrsupaconducta that's a good question on army painter. But I'm not saying to boycott Vallejo as that's a personal choice, I'm more saying that there will be shortages. But if you really like Union and you want to support an American company, look at Golden. They are currently I think rank 2 on most valuable artist, paint companies and they are employee owned and not publicly traded.
Army painter is in denmark so pretty sure the employees have a union , cant compare European unions to US formats . you dont have to be a union member but you still have all the benefits.

Just because there is a strike. Doesn't mean there's a boycott. If you wanna use it buy it. It proves the employees point they are needed.
@@ghoulchan7525 pretty much. I just want people to know there is a strike so stocks will be low.
Have the workers put anything out about requests of customers?
It'd be good to follow that in the case that they have
Best of luck to the employees.
@@Synthi_Soul yes. I hope they get their demands
It's pretty ubiquitous in EU after GW paint but army painter is edging in that space
the employer can move production to Asia while costs are being cut and there are mass layoffs in companies all over Europe, they are on strike
@@Walt85Kowalski I believe they already moved the production over to China. That's what I was reading but I don't have any confirmation of that.
