- There are many royal families across the globe that rule different countries and states, but the house of Maktoum, the ruling royal family of the Emirate of Dubai and one of the six ruling families of the United Arab Emirates, is at the top of the list when we talk about royalty, grandeur and luxurious lifestyle at a completely different level.
Since 1833, the Al Maktoum dynasty has ruled Dubai. Within the United Arab Emirates federation, a member of the Dubai ruling family is de facto always the country's Vice President, Prime Minister, and Defence Minister.
Sheikha Mahra Al Maktoum is one of the many children of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the vice president, prime minister, and minister of defense of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the ruler of Dubai.
But unlike the other children of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Sheikha Mahra is the only one who is allowed to live her life the way she sees fit, and because of the freedom that her father has given her, not only does she flaunts and enjoys her luxurious lifestyle but is also the only daughter who doesnt follow the Islamic laws and abide by certain rules as the other daughters of the ruler of Dubai do.
Freedom isn’t given, it is inherent. So the question should be, “why does he take less of her freedom?”
As the saying goes, "fair face is half a fortune." But this is all business. She is the ambassador for her father, especially for the west.
