Just had my last performance of Les Mis earlier this month, and it is the most unbelievably powerful moment any person could experience.

i cant lie, i did cry at multiple points when i saw les miz, but, i didn’t expect anything except for do you hear the people sing to properly get me, but something about this song struck something within me and i absolutely sobbed because i simply could not believe how indescribably incredible this song was, wow. i am completely and totally convinced this song is the pinnacle of musical theatre.
One thing I love about this is that you can totally hear Michael and Alfie over everyone else at the final “One Day Mooorrreee” 1:59 if you know what notes to listen for. It’s insane how powerful their voices can be 😊 I love them both so much

I watched this in the cinema's on a special 'one night only viewing' in Australia. I may have been the only person under the age of 40, but I did not stop crying because of how beautiful it was.
I saw the ‘one viewer’ cinema special but in the uk. I was the only one there under the age of 50 and I’m 15 😂😂 I was fantasising over how enjolras was A snack and this woman next to me was laughing at me. I was crying all the way through🤣😂

I love " Les Miserables" . Was blessed to see it on stage in Philadelphia twice. Have movie w/ Hugh Jackman. And the 10 th anniversary concert in Royal Albert Hall 1995 . This musical is very special to me. Other musicals don't come close to this one. A pure classic. ❤❤❤❤❤

Got to see the concert live a couple of years ago. I was basically a goosebump for the entire show. Ball and Boe are unbelievable, and live, it just pins you to the back wall. Also, Matt Lucas got a standing ovation that lasted about five minutes after Master of the House. Even he looked overwhelmed. One of the greatest stage shows of all time.

I went there, but with JOJ as Valjean...stunning anyway. Neither any adjectives nor any words can describe my emotions of that experience
If things work out, next year I will fly across most of North America, and then I will fly across the Atlantic, and then after a single evening’s rest I will be able to hear these few minutes of theatre on the London stage for the fourth decade in a row.

Finally a Marius who doesn't make my ears bleed with too much Vibrato.
True, he was wonderful in Les Mis 2013 to 16 and even better in this staged version. Unfortunately still had to listen to the vibrato from Michael Ball along with constant back phrasing.

@@mattg177 Rob Houchen. This man has a truly amazing voice and the growing reputation of having one of the best voices of his generation. Look up bbc documentary on the making of West Side Story he sang Tony part. That docu was where I first heard his voice and I have been down the U.tube rabbit hole listening to his work ever since😁

To those people hating Michael Ball's Javert, try to listen to his version of Soliloquy (Javert's Suicide). His is the most heart-wrenching in my opinion.
It was good but I still prefer the 10th anniversary version. Micheal ball will always be Marius to me.

I saw him playing Sweeney Todd, he was really mean and scary. Also saw him on this concert, the suicide scene was amazing.

@@RioMuc he had to take alot of time off during these staged concerts due to illness. This was only a few days after he returned so he was still not 100% well.
@@shelleyn274 Ah, ok. Thank you for the explanation. I wasn't aware that he was ill. I only know him with a very strong voice. At first I didn't even recognize him and thought why did they cast someone singing so weak. Now I know: he is Michael Ball and he deserves it. Hope he is doing ok now.

Great to hear the score played with a huge orchestra! I’m in the minority on Alfie Boe, though. He’s a good singer, but, I find he is dead in the eyes and doesn’t emote much. I’ve seen/ heard so many better Valjeans over the years.
Daniel Nault he was so much more emotive during the staged concert than he as in the 25th I promise you
Alfie is perfectly emotional - without veering into melodrama. "Do you hear the people sing": Yes, I hear the most amazing voices, led by Alfie Boe.
I’ve seen both and he’s still stiff and dead in the eyes 🤷🏻♂️. He has a good voice, but, I’ve seen better Valjeans over the years.
