لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ فیض احمد فیض ایک سیکیولر انسان تھے مگر وہ کہہ رہے ہیں کہ مجھے ایک پچھتاوا یہ بھی ہے کہ میں قرآن کی تعلیم کو تین پارے سے زیادہ نہیں حاصل کر سکا

Like Prof Namwar Singh of Hindi Dr Gopi Chand Matang is doyen of rich literature of Urdu . It is always a treat to hear him speak.Let me make it clear he is a serious commentator , not himsel an original poet or adeeb but his scholarship is admirable.

I have spent my entire childhood in the valley.My father his friends ,my own friends still dear to me had imprinted the cultural and social landscape of Faiz,Faraz,Firaq,Jiggar,Khumar and Josh.I lived with their literature when i came to plains. With their departure along with my father,I breathe them day and night.But alas, when i look around,it is blank.They took with them the entire literary heritage of Urdu and its delicacies and fineness with them.Only tears , sighs and ruin around of our fragmented common cultural and symbolic capital.

Our dharti is fortunate that Faiz Ahmad Faiz was born here and we were so unfortunate that we did not realize his greatness what was worth his poetry. Faiz Sb's kalam is for all mahkoom and mazlool public and give them hope for a naveed e subah. But for this, they have to open their lab (mouths) and say what they want and oppose any atrocities upon them.

did you get your answer?if not then: Naveed e Subh is Morning(Subh) News(naveed). Mahkoom is one who is Ruled by the Ruler(Haakim) the act of ruling is Hukoomat. Mazloom is someone who is subject to Cruelty(Zulm) or Torture.
