Unbelievable view!! Living on the front range of the American Rockies, I really admire how you have captured these mountains, knowing that cameras never do them justice compared to being there in person. Very inspirational!
Wow! Sounds like a tough hike up, but looks like you had great weather. Seems a little surprising that the lookout cabin isn't on the higher point right next to it for the real 360 degree viewpoint. Seems like nice flat ground up there too.
I am almost sure the older lookouts, pre WW2 (as after WW2 came wireless radio) had a rudimentary telegraphy/telephony/telephone wire. It was part of the lookout's duty to maintain the wire with inspection, keeping it up off the ground. All the wood tripods likely rotted away. Any insulators (ceramic or glass) would have made souvenirs for hikers over the last few decades.
Dude, you killed it! This amazing!
The cinemaphotography is amazing, really elevated an already beautiful environment with all the variety in the shots and visuals. Great work!
This has got to be the best lookout yet!

I was wondering the same thing. Usually these lookouts are on the very top.
Sweet!
Do you think that the cable was used for bringing up supplies, there was a ratchet and cog system on it?
My best guess is it must be an old communications system. Telegraph maybe?
@@LifeIsAdventureChannel One the ground with no signs of insulation is not likely telegraph
