Reserve infantry soldiers from 20 Armoured Infantry Brigade Combat Team, took part in a subterranean warfare exercise, practising the skills needed to operate in a very different environment.

Looks like the reserves get to do a lot more that’s challenging, interesting and relevant nowadays. Kit’s better too, comparable to that used by regulars. Great to see.

Why not use drones to relay signals for communication, have a chain of autonomous quadcopters sending encrypted code to one another, isn't there technology to bounce information off of walls too?
If not, then surely it's easy to bounce sound waves with a form of retrograde morsecode that can be picked up by mics on operators gear, which then translates it into audio files?
They should be using mesh networked beam forming radios to relay the signal, not sure why they are not, I think these are reservists so maybe they don't have the cool kit? Most modern wifi/radio equipment can bounce signals off walls, concrete might not be too accommodating to that though.

They might not be regulars but they are still volunteers and the British Army will depend on then since the regulars have been massively reduced. Just look at Ukraine and their use of the Reserves, if you want to mock…..!
