That second comic is really going against what it is trying to say. The comic portrays a woman who is miserable every moment of her life because she is forced to have children. What was their point?
Ikr I can't find the hint of a rationale or message behind it, it's just so disturbing. I think another commenter said it best when they said he had a misogynistic breeding fetish.
Maybe the whole "If you don't want an abortion don't have sex then" bullshit? Maybe they are trying to show some hypocrisy pro choicers supposedly have?? Idk
The first one is def supposed to be like a human sacrifice, with the girl on the pillar and the Native American man killing her. Like it’s not only pro life but also racist
@@topaz3452 it was recently found that the whole human sacrifice thing was blown waaay out of proportion and it was no where near what it’s portrayed as
I think the "stabby thing" in the first comic might be an obsidian knife. That whole panel on its own looks to me as if evoking a caricature of a Mesoamerican human sacrifice.
The thing about that pro-gun comic is even when women use guns in self defense in the US, against assaulters or abusers or even kriffing human traffickers, they still get slammed with a manslaughter charge and go to jail even tho they were just trying to protect themselves. So his argument isn’t even accurate. Pro-gun laws only protect violent white men, not women defending themselves. I wish people would stop using women as an excuse for awful awful laws because women get hurt regardless. They don’t care about women, they care more about kriffing killing machines and it’s so gross.
reminds me of the episode of bojack horseman where women start buying guns en masse and thats what leads to a ban on guns. i believe diane said "i cant believe america hates women more than it loves guns"
I love how the "protaganists" of his comics are portrayed as predominantly white, presumably cis, skinny, conventionally attractive people, that are male unless they need to be pregnant for the sake of the... let's call it 'argument'. Genius and not at all obvious. The man should become an artist.
Its sad how thee drawings are sooooo pretty! and the watercolor style the digital drawing has. And the expressiveness, i'm amazed. So sad it's been used for hateful ideas and not cute wonderful messages. What a WASTED talent.
@OzCroc liking an art style is subjective. As I said what I like is the style, not what it's about(the conservative attention wh*re that is the comic). I feel u will call me fascist for liking the drawing style. I'm literally the antithesis of one. Mentally, physically and socially
The groomer thing is so baffling. Once I mentioned that minecraft having the phrase "we accept all genders" in the starting screen was gonna make conservatives mad and this guy showed up and said I have mental illness and then called me a groomer.
i had a similar situation with my game including a dragon, which, as I answered to someone's twitter comment "what sex is it?" is apparently just a "no" and the other person started calling me a pedo because games "should only be played by children" (nekopara, doki doki, god of war, skyrim: k) and i'm "making kids think about dragon genitals!!!!" later when i visited their profile i found a ton of predatory behaviour marks, in likes i saw MAP posts and overall bruh he probably forgot to swtich accounts lmaoo 👹 (UPD: i reported them and they got banned ofc)
i'd be like "queen, i'm dating a woman as a woman myself, She isn't very much of a kid tbh, u need glasses. She's a waiter. lol" Ofc r now i'm single lmao but if i had couple i'd be like that
The worst thing about that last one is that the coffee has latte art in the shape of a heart. So not only did this comic have a guy assault the barista, but it implies that she enjoyed it
@@HangryOnPaws Thanks! It's a self portrait :) granted, it's like thirteen years out of date and I don't have that haircut anymore… but I like to keep my brand consistent lol.
also, maybe I'm not on par with proper social etiquette since I don't speak English in my day to day, but are pronouns even required in this situation? don't you just go "hello, can I get [a cup of coffee] please"?
Not-so-fun fact! There actually are people who think parents should be allowed to know everything their child discusses in therapy I've even had therapists push the idea of bringing my parents into a session to learn everything I've been talking about, and I changed therapists when they couldn't recognize how genuinely unsafe that actually could be for me
some of my first therapy sessions that I was having when I was younger, I actually ended up lying whenever my parents were sitting in, and my therapist couldn't notice my tells- I got out of there quick thankfully
My former (for a reason) therapist encouraged adult me to bring my parents in for a session and she ended up arguing me into the ground, explaining how my "mother only meant it well" etc. Fuck no, that was horrible. Family therapy can be extremely important, especially when the child is still underage and living with their parents. But it cannot be in with the therapist that works one on one with the child client. Family therapy has to be its own thing so nobody's privacy can be violated.
I think the reason I'm so opposed to doing more therapy now is because my parents *did* know everything I was sharing. My therapist did tell them. And then at some point I felt unsafe and started being quiet
Uhhh, yea, that was a weird one. I'm in Canada and every morning we HAD to stand and face the flag for the national anthem. I stopped standing in grade 11 (if we're celebrating our freedom, why do I not have a choice in standing/ showing respect to the flag?) I wasn't allowed on school property until the anthem was over. However, if you weren't in your classroom for the anthem you got marked late, being late meant detention. By the last semester of my highschool days, I had more detentions that I had days left.
Not to mention, the teachers push it more than the kids! In 2019, there were folks in my high school who would kneel in solidarity with Black Lives matter, and were punished for “disrespecting our country and our troops.” I wish I’d had their courage, honestly.
In Greece kids have to pray in most schools, not just rural ones... 🙃 And we are one of very few European countries with no legal separation of church and state. Fun stuff all around
In my French class in high school we had to say the hail Mary (in french) at the start of every class. Luckily it was just that one class but I think during weekly assemblies we had to pray too. Joys of Catholic school in N Ireland.
oooooof, i get you i'm russian and since the war started some schools have already attempted implementing the pledge of allegiance and given the currert state of affairs, i'm afraid praying is also not off the table
Yeah. No one waits that long and then just goes, "Oh, never mind!" 🙄 Any abortion happening that late in the pregnancy is for medical reasons and is a heartbreaking decision for everyone involved. Dude needs a fucking reality check.
@@emilyrln Exactly! What people miss about late term abortions is that the person getting it, more likely than not, wanted to have that child, but pregnancy can be risky and unpredictable. If an abortion is needed that late into a pregnancy, it's because it's necessary to at the very least save the mother if the fetus isn't any longer viable. So according to pro-lifers, following the logic that the fetus is a living person, they'd rather have two dead, instead of one. Not to mention, potentially leaving other children without one of their parents.
@@ChrispyMoonbyte- Some of those asshats don't think women are that important. We're like buses or taxis: another comes along in 20 minutes. Others are just so into controlling women and our sexuality that they _can't_ understand what can happen. And there are weirdoes who think of pregnancy as punishment for sex.
I’m glad someone noticed this too. Anti choice people always make it seem like abortions happen after the baby is already super big but that’s rarely the case
@@Jeshcaprints- They _have_ to make the women into infanticidal monsters aided by an infanticidal organization, otherwise their supporters might start thinking the wrong things.
That reminds me of that lady that said "I didn't vaccinate my 6 kids, and the 1 that lived turned out great!" I choked on my drink and said "THE 1 THAT LIVED!?!"
can we talk about how much more likely it is that the situation of "man watching children change" in a 'private' space' at school is so much more likely to be a straight cis man being a pedophile? Like we literally had that situation happen at the catholic street down the school from my old highschool, it's not the gay/trans people who are consistently grooming kids. Almost every single highschool (and even middle school) in my area has a story about a male teacher grooming girls or getting a girl pregnant. It's just such a stupid argument because of how much more likely it is to be a straight man committing the crime.
I say this as much as possible! If you have to target a group for disproportionally being pedophile groomers, go for straight white cis men. Grooming is a serious problem in the us, but trans people are far from being the main perpetrators
5:30 it's hilarious that he doesn't realize his comic literally shows that some women do not want to have children ever and that it should be accepted bc that kid is gonna feel like shit
Yeah, I read a lot of true crime the amount of people who committed murder who come from broken homes or being unwanted is depressing. I've also heard cases of the lengths people have gone to too get an abortion, banning abortion doesn't get rid of it, it just gets rid of safe abortion.
As a Mediterranean I made fun of the heatwave in Northern Europe too at the time but of course in a lighthearted way and context. I had to make sure my friends in the UK and Germany were okay first because I was worried because I care about my friends as human people do, yeah? The European heatwave was shortly followed by a South Asian heatwave that was even worse. It was a catastrophe in India and Pakistan, then the Pakistani floods followed. These natural disasters are a threatening sign of the climate crisis' consequences. The whole thing is unfortunate and while humor is a good and natural coping mechanism there are proper ways of going about it. Insulting dying people or trying your best to offend suffering people won't help anyone, not even yourself.
Yeah, I live in texas, so it was pretty much just as hot here while that was happening. Every time I stepped outside I was so miserable, and my car didn't have ac. It made me feel like extra bad for everything going on edit: I can't imagine what that must have been like on an ISLAND
Imagine making fun of texans as a northern europeans after their entire infrastructure didn't survive a bit of snow... Because the infrastructure wasn't built for that... Wow. Texans are sooo weeaaak. Bruh. It's not like unprecedented weather conditions can cause massive problems or something. (I see you, person in the comment. Best wishes) Man, dude making the comics is wildin'
The issue with the heatwave in Europe is more on agriculture. Yes, humans were pretty fine (except for the one at risks) but rivers dried out, the harvest is awful which lead to an increase in prices for food and less feed for farm animals. Farmers have lost their animals because of the heat and the lack of food (and I'm not talking about animals producing meat, but other animals who often are very loved by their farmers. Normally, animals eat weed outside during summer, but the weed burned with the heat and the lack of hay made it impossible for all farmers to get enough to save all their animals) I live in a rural area, so I see the consequences climate change has on agriculture and your poor farmers in the last years, and how it is going to impact people who already struggles financially (like myself), so it's not really funny.
@@Pesciolotto don't worry though. I noticed the very Aztec style this artist went with for the "Doctor" in the first one... I think he was holding an obsidian knife. These comics are definitely horrible. Thank you for covering it. Omgs... The AR-15 one had women dressed as if she's a hands maid from the Hands Maid tale. 😫
I am pretty sure the AR-15 comic is supposed to be depicting handmaids. Which is funny (not 'haha' funny, but 'oh he's are really not seeing the irony here' funny) because in the book, the people in power who forced women to become handmaids, not only had a military level of control, complete with guns, but they also stood for pretty much everything this guy supports (forced births, homophobia/transphobia, control of women and their bodies, etc.).
It is eternally funny to me that often the same people who claim to need automatic rifles to defend against the govt also fight to keep the US military so unbelievably strong. Dude pick one.
@@JhericFury not that I’m aware of but I also don’t follow the nra very closely. But it wouldn’t really surprise me they have went far right in the past several years.
Full auto (one trigger pull automatic fire until released) is illegal, and semi auto (aka one trigger pull one bullet) is legal. Semi auto is, from what I've seen mostly in my own experience as well as a hunter (and ik not everyone agrees with hunting but imo it's way better for the environment than buying from farms and much healthier) these types of guns, semi auto, are mostly needed for hunting. It's because when shooting big game, the goal is to shoot to kill fast. If you dont have semi auto, there is a chance the animal could get away if you have to reload in between shots. No one wants to make the animal suffer, that's why semi auto is the best for this sort of thing, so you can ensure it is fast and relatively free of suffering. All the deer I've hunted have been with an AR-15 it's not a big scary weapon of mass destruction, or an "assault rifle" (AR stands for armalite rifle it's a brand name, the assault rifle thing came from the news, its never been a term used officially)
@@cryptid1697 okay, so maybe it's not clear to some people but, I know fully auto is illegal, I guess I should have made it even more excessive in original comment, so let me adapt it: "I find it eternally funny that the people who claim to need mounted machine gun nests and a tank to defend against the govt also fight to keep the US military stronger than every other countries combined" Is it clearer what point I'm trying to make now?
The whole furry thing makes me so upset. I'm not talking about people who are furries, I'm talking about the people who don't like furries. I used to think furries were weird and I made an ironic fursona. A rabbit named Jack. The joke was jackrabbit. But when I would post online about it jokingly, the amount of love and support I got from the furry community was shocking. I was so confused why everyone said that furries were bad. They are still some of the most heartwarming comments I have received in my entire life. I genuinely use him as a representation of myself online whenever I draw because I'm not ashamed to say that I support them in anyway I can. It makes me absolutely _livid_ when I see people using fursuits to hide themselves being a nazi. Most of the time, they aren't even an actual furry, they're just trying to get the actual furries to be hated on.
oh my gosh this is so true I hear so many people at my school who are openly racist, homophobic, transphobic and they don't get called out at all but there was this one furry kid in my class who liked drawing there fursona for art projects and literally everyone bullied them like wtf maybe look at the people actually doing harm
As a furry, I really appreciate it when people treat us like humans There are bad people in every fandom Furry haters are largely also homophobic as the furry community is predominantly queer
Hii kiwi! The thing in the first comic seems to be a "puñal de obsidiana" and the person holding it is wearing ritual aztec clothing. It seems to be doing a human sacrifice. This is actually a misconception from many not knowing people, that the Aztecs were savages and killed everything besides religious practices. So yeah, this adds a a little bit more """flavour""" to the misinformation the author is doing. Have a nice day
Well now I'm really curious what the truth about Aztecs is, because that's honestly what I've been hearing all my life! :O Did they NOT do human sacrifice, or are people missing some context as to why they did it and to whom?

I find it funny because even in this fictitious world, she still wouldn’t need an AR-15 to defend herself. Like if you actually asked “how short would Handmaid’s Tale be if Offred had a gun” you’d realize pretty quick that it would only result in her demise given the mess of a society she’s in, so what point was this artist trying to make?
The furry thing you’ve been noticing isn’t entirely irrelevant. It’s not inherently related, but I believe it’s said that at least more than half of furries are queer. Even if you didn’t know the “vibes” would be there. The most infamous stereotype in the furry fandom is that furries are inherently sexual (group stuff and the fursuit being apart of it) which has been debunked several times and is a bit outdated by now (sorta). It’s similar to how queerness is be seen as “inappropriate” around children to certain people. Not super in depth, but that seems to be where the supposed correlation comes from.

I’m from the USA, and I remember in elementary school, we HAD to memorize the national anthem. And to prove that we had it memorized, we had to sing it by ourselves in front of the entire class. As a kid with social anxiety, that was terrifying. And in my senior year of high school, which was last year (this happened as recently as 2021, and probably still happens) we were forced to memorize the preamble of the constitution and write it word for word as proof. We had a week to memorize it, but I had been struggling with my mental health that week, so I didn’t go to school for a few days. I ended up missing being told about this assignment. When I got back, I was informed that I would have to take the test at the same time as everyone else. 15:00 it also shows the common conservative attitude that if someone else is doing something that they don't like, or someone else has a right to do something other than what they like, that their actions are somehow stripping themselves of their own rights. People have the right to sit for the pledge because you have the right to pledge.
I'm a welsh individual who grew up in the states (my dad's job moved us there as a kid). I was 6 when 9/11 happened. Shortly after it did, teachers and other students began to double down aggressively on saying the pledge. At the time, I didn't say it because I wasn't a citizen, so it seemed to be a rude thing TO say it? I distinctly remember somebody telling me that if I didn't say it, they'd get me deported. Also re: the heat...almost 50 folks, largely field workers and homeless folks, died in 2021 in Oregon from the heat. The farmers weren't accustomed to such temperatures, and there's not any sort of procedure re:temperature and work in Oregon because THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN with the frequency and intensity until recently. I have friends back in Manchester who posted about the temperatures there, and all I could do was give them pointers for surviving the heat that I learned dealing with extended power outages from tropical storms and hurricanes. The fact that it was hotter in the UK than in Florida is absolutely bonkers to me because even the British summers felt cold to me when I was living there a decade ago. I don’t and haven’t stood for the pledge of allegiance since like 7th grade because I always found it kind of cultish to pledge my allegiance to a piece of cloth? Anyways what I am trying to say is that the fact the pledge ends with “and liberty and justice for all” makes me feel like laughing and crying at the same time because that isn’t true at all and the fact we keep using this rhetoric which clearly isn’t true is funny but it is also sad because we don’t all get justice and freedom.

i can confirm, germany literally doesnt have air conditioning for most houses unless they are like grocery stores or similar. We need to open the window which usually just makes it even more hot, or get a fan
The pledge to the flag is hella weird. I barely remember my country's national anthem because we only sing it on the national day - which I usually don't celebrate much? But it's a national holiday with children's parades and marching bands playing DIFFERENT songs as well as the national anthem. Yet most people only know the first verse, which is completely normal here....
Also, I went to college in the US (big waste of money) in California (central coast), and we didn't have AC in our dorms. It was cement buildings, really hot during late summer/fall, easily in the 40's, and we didn't have AC. So why do Americans act like AC is everywhere and so common? I paid insane amounts to live in a dorm, yet no AC.
I remember in 8th grade my class collectively just stopped standing for the pledge of allegiance except for this one girl and my teacher was like why don't you want to stand for it and tried to say that if we wrote her an essay about why we didn't stand she would never bother us about it again but we all just kinda were like Nah we just aren't gonna stand. For me personally, I didn't stand because I felt it was too early for this shit (it happened at like 8:15 am) but then two years later I was figuring out more about the way our country is run and stopped standing because I refused to pledge allegiance to a fucked up country that doesn't give a single shit about its citizens.
Idk how it is in all countries, but I know that in some (including USA) if the child is under 18, the therapist can tell parents anything they ask about. It's really f up, but it's better if other people know about this and be careful to not overshare to the therapist if your under 18. Also do your own research before hand how the laws about this are in your country.

The thing about that pro-gun comic is even when women use guns in self defense in the US, against assaulters or abusers or even kriffing human traffickers, they still get slammed with a manslaughter charge and go to jail even tho they were just trying to protect themselves. Not-so-fun fact! There actually are people who think parents should be allowed to know everything their child discusses in therapy
I've even had therapists push the idea of bringing my parents into a session to learn everything I've been talking about, and I changed therapists when they couldn't recognize how genuinely unsafe that actually could be for me
My parents used to sit in on my therapy sessions, or at least parts of it. Which is why I decided to leave. You're right it's super fucked.
My parents used to sit in on some of my therapy sessions. It made me nervous
some of my first therapy sessions that I was having when I was younger, I actually ended up lying whenever my parents were sitting in, and my therapist couldn't notice my tells- I got out of there quick thankfully
Children still pledge allegiance to the flag in school as far as I’m aware. So I don’t know why he would think leftists call it hate speech.
Because when they were kids their parents never told them no and so they feel entitled over other peoples lives
In my highschool we try to have it but the student don’t do it at all.
It literally ends with "Liberty and justice for all" it's not hate speech, it's a broken promise that's broken each time a child is made to recite it.
Not to mention, the teachers push it more than the kids! In 2019, there were folks in my high school who would kneel in solidarity with Black Lives matter, and were punished for “disrespecting our country and our troops.” I wish I’d had their courage, honestly.
In Poland they forced us to pray instead of pledging allegiance to the flag in like, super-rural schools and I HATED it with burning passion.
they used to do both in many rural US schools, but they aren't allowed anymore in public schools thankfully
Joys of Catholic school in N Ireland.

i'm russian and since the war started some schools have already attempted implementing the pledge of allegiance

That is not what people look like when they ask for an abortion either.
Not to mention, potentially leaving other children without one of their parents.

can we talk about how much more likely it is that the situation of "man watching children change" in a 'private' space' at school is so much more likely to be a straight cis man being a pedophile? Like we literally had that situation happen at the catholic street down the school from my old highschool, it's not the gay/trans people who are consistently grooming kids. Almost every single highschool (and even middle school) in my area has a story about a male teacher grooming girls or getting a girl pregnant. It's just such a stupid argument because of how much more likely it is to be a straight man committing the crime.
The cartoonist even portrayed the creep as a cis man.
True
I had a resource officer at my middle school who turned out to be a pedophile 😐
I say this as much as possible! If you have to target a group for disproportionally being pedophile groomers, go for straight white cis men. Grooming is a serious problem in the us, but trans people are far from being the main perpetrators
their argument is that it’s a cis guy pretending to be trans. not even a trans person, just someone pretending to be trans is enough
5:30 it's hilarious that he doesn't realize his comic literally shows that some women do not want to have children ever and that it should be accepted bc that kid is gonna feel like shit

Man, dude making the comics is wildin'

22:09 I think the artist was depicting characters from The Handmaid’s Tale and implying that Offred would have wanted an AR-15 during the events of that story.
If Moira had an AR 15 it would have been a different story. She still probably wouldn't have escaped, she would have taken a lot of asses with her.

Actually Germany used to... before the new constitution
i only realized it a couple years ago when i brought it up and one of my friends pointed out how cultish it sounded
according to the comments on this video, it isn't quite just the US, but yea no we don't love it, I avoid doing it but I have to stand up or I will be punished in class
As an american, Until this video, I was unaware, though kind of glad, because that pledge to the flag shit is crazy annoying
Yeah as an American (unfortunately lol), when I was younger we were so brainwashed that I didn’t think anything of it, but now that I’ve grown and learned about life and politics and just stuff in general, I’m not a fan of it 😃 the propaganda is wild in the U.S.
first comic: it looks like it is being themed around Aztec human sacrifice so it's an "abortion is satantic" argument, the ar-15 comic the girls are dressed up as handmaids so it's a "we need an ar-15 for our militias because the government is evil" despite the fact the handmaids tale is clearly based around conservative poltics.
A message to the person making this comic: So there’s this non-murderous defense tool, it’s called pepper spray
And tasers. And bb guns. And heavy baseball bats. My family has swords ffs. My dad was big on larping and renaissance faires back in the day so we have giant super heavy foam and wood battle-axes lmao. Apparently it hurts like a bitch

To be honest, I'm pretty sure that the reason for why my mom actually stopped sending me to therapy when I was around 13 was that the therapist talked to her about the fact that her bf SA'ed me. (She told the therapist that the reason for therapy is that I'm probably jealous and trying to break up their relationship)
Parents definitely don't always have the child's best interests in mind...
Oh, and I went to the doctor a few days ago because of my depression and my mom wanted me to tell her what I've been talking about with my doctor and told me to just not take antidepressants because of side effects and possible addiction? (Btw, that's also the person who asked me why I don't just kms if my life is so terrible... and who also says that depression is not a mental illness bc she thinks that if I were mentally ill, I'd be in a mental hospital and that all mentally ill people are dangerous... I've been diagnosed with depression and possible PTSD, my mom only knows about the depression tho) and I'm pretty sure that if I were a minor, she would just not let me get any treatment at all
I hate the “women need guns to protect themselves from abusers” because pepper spray is another perfectly viable option to protect from abusers that won’t kill people.
So I ended up being forced to memorize the entire preamble in 5 minutes while everyone else got a week. I hate the school system
Yikes. I would have taken the zero.
As a leukemia survivor, I got my “baby” vaccines one year after being cancer free. They most likely saved my life. I got my Covid vaccine while I still had cancer. And that FOR SURE saved my life.

Despite how objectively awful all the other comics are, the joe biden "you ain't black" comic unironically slaps.
It really does.
It took me until high school, and it still made me pretty anxious, to realize that if I didn't stand/put my hand over my heart for the pledge of allegiance that nothing would be done. Had thought my entire time in school that I would get in trouble with my teachers if I didn't do it no matter how uncomfortable it made me.
As an American, I have NEVER seen or heard of anyone wanting to get rid of the pledge of allegiance
Edit: you absolutely have EVERY RIGHT to complain about the heat, especially if people are DYING
Hi, other American here:
Get rid of the Pledge. It is really cultish, and it only flies because we are conditioned to accept it.
In 2002 the PoA was banned in 9 states for not being constitutional for 2 years.

Kiwi mentioning the military propaganda thrown at american children from such a young age reminded me of all the military commercials I've been seeing on youtube for at least the past year that present serving in the military like it's a video game
15:00 it also shows the common conservative attitude that if someone else is doing something that they don't like, or someone else has a right to do something other than what they like, that their actions are somehow stripping themselves of their own rights. People have the right to sit for the pledge because you have the right to pledge.
webcomics like these used to have symbolism and meaning and then it turned into "here's what I think is happening and if you disagree you're evil"
There's cooling centres set up every year now, and often times they're full.

I'm from Florida, but I've also lived in the UK, and this past summer when it was so hot in the UK, it was actually cooler in Florida. People who deny the existence of climate change just astound me with their willful ignorance of what's happening right before their eyes.

Yet you sell your soul to pride flags lmao getcho ass on outta here. All this gender sexuality obsession stuff is the definition of cultish

I am currently in high school, we still do it every morning.
My highschool played it every morning but we didnt have to sing it or anything the trachers didnt even care if you didnt stand half the time i kept doing my work during jt id still stand up tho
honestly the views you had about schools protecting trans kids and letting them be happy made my heart warm, I recently had an issue at school where my teacher wouldn't let me use my chosen name as It was "illegal" even tho other teachers used it. they tried to get my parents involved, knowing it would make me unsafe and all the other teachers took my side. your viewpoints just put it perfectly into words and you really expressed everything I would've wanted to say to that teacher. thank you so much
I remember once in class, my math teacher went on, saying how we need to stand up for the pledge no matter what. Whenever we do the pledge, I only stand and play with my necklace while I wait for it to end because I don’t want to get yelled at for sitting down.

i can confirm, germany literally doesnt have air conditioning for most houses unless they are like grocery stores or similar.
The opposite thing happened here in Texas back in February of 2021. I didn't hear anyone telling us to just get heaters.
Idk how it is in all countries, but I know that in some (including USA) if the child is under 18, the therapist can tell parents anything they ask about.
