That first scene is weird because the only ones that pick a gender for other people and force them to express their gender in a certain way are conservatives.

With right-wing extremists every accusation is a confession (to quote humanist report)
Neither conservatives nor liberals pick gender. God does
God picks genders sweetie, not us
@@wendyjohnson4345gender is a social construct and you know it
The first one is just pure projection. Its parents wanting to decide who childern are, not teachers.
Exactly. If parents are worried their children would rather talk to their teachers about things like their orientation or gender identity than them, then the issue is with the parents. The parents need to stop and ask themselves, over and over, why their children are afraid to open up to them.
But surely both are wrong outlooks , because it is the child who decides who they are, only being assisted by the adults around them in exploring their identity as they age
@@L0rdOfThePiesobviously, but try telling that to a parent who thinks being gay or trans is the most evil act you can commit against your family

As someone who was trans in the school system, it boils my blood that people even begin to think that it's anything like this. The school system isn't half as "woke" as conservatives think and I can say that with fucking confidence.
exactly, im homeschooled because i was threatened to be killed and was harassed daily for just being gay, nobody even knows im trans yet :/
Yeah I'm not American but all the content about LGBT people like what, one or two times in health class where it mentioned (one used Jeffree star for god sake, the others either someone in a video who said their queer delivering a tedtalk of social change for art or when I asked the chromosomes for intersex people) and it also doesn't stop at least a lot of the students from homophobia so it's just funny to see this inaccurate content of the 'woke' indoctrinating kids. I mean then again, Australia is more willing to show that the wrong in history as well as America rather than the actual America itself so...
Truly. I’ve been graduated for a few years but the school system is horrible for anyone who isn’t straight, white and cis. We weren’t allowed to learn any science or biology until middle school because my elementary and intermediate schools believed that teaching fact was “indoctrination”. Even after that, we didn’t cover any science/history/biology that involved POC or queer people. We had a GSA in highschool and not many people messed with us as a group, but a few of us ended up getting physically assaulted by transphobic/homophobic students in private. The only reason the school did anything about it is because our GSA teacher was an amazing ally who would fight administration until they did something about the hate crimes.
LITERALLY, I was heavily closeted until my senior year as non-binary because it just wasn’t as accepted as people think, it depended on the teacher 😂😂
Precisely. Every time I walk into class, I think to myself, “Hmmmm, which one of my classmates is going to say that all trans people should die?” or “Exactly how close to a teacher does another student have to be for the teacher to hear them call me a slur?”
That American class was honestly
Very on point
It’s rarely explicit as that, but there’s no actual “yeah we messed up in the past and our country has flaws”
It tends to boil down to “sure I guess we may have messed up, it was a different time, but would you want to live anywhere else? Look at all the immigrants that DO want to live here! We can’t be so bad then, right?”
No like i was dying laughing i just got out of highschool and that was way too accurate
I was literally thinking they could change the name to "What public schools should be like" and my high school would agree

I wish this was satire because "WHY? SO YOU CAN BE GAY *FASTER*???" is fantastically hilarious without context :(
Speedrunning being gay brb
That is the only line that caused me to lol
The entire video could be hilarious as satire given the fact that they attempt to both downplay homophobia while presenting the homophobic “groomer” narrative
If they went with the angle of satire it could actually be funny seeing them flip flop between denying and participating, especially with how prevalent the behaviour of simultaneously denying or minimizing and partaking in bigotry is.
It's such a good quote on its own! 😆
I vote we take the funniest quotes from this maniac and reclaim them. Take away his power! RISE.
To be fair, saying the pledge with “under god” then learning about how we supposedly have separation of church and state made me recognize the hypocrisy and start questioning the establishment at a very young age
This is what happens when they have no valid criticisms of views they oppose, so they make a farcical strawman because acknowledging what they oppose shows them to be immoral.

@@therock238360Also right wingers attacking other right wingers isn't exactly unprecedented.
Idk about you, but the online figures I've encountered that claim they are centrist have all been aligned with the right more than the left to varying degrees. Whether it be spewing thinly veiled right wing talking points, or simply enabling the status quo that enables right wing ideas to prevail
Yup, this channel is just right-wing and lying.
On the US History class: College Board did an overhaul on the AP US History program a couple years ago to better include primary sources and experiences from minorities and also mention those more in general. Unlike most US Education programming which is state standardized, AP is nationally standardized. Conservative states were PISSED because of APUSH being "liberal" now. Well, I actually took the course after the overhaul, from 2021-2022. They literally just mentioned more aspects of US history from the view of minorities such as including Native Americans more in general and new insight into concepts like how WWI and WWII influenced women's rights movements, and questions largely let you still come to your own conclusion as long as you could justify it. So yeah, to them, even mentioning minorities more in US history is seen as liberal.
These cartoons made me laugh but because they were so insane they were like a parody of conservatives
I legit watched them as a teen thinking they were parody

I think they're supposed to parody both maybe, but they fail hard because they run with the premise that the things fox news says about leftwing and queer people are true
The sad thing is as a trans kid I have literally nowhere I feel comfortable and safe expressing myself. Even the Internet is a shitty place for me
I'm sorry but it just isn't natural. I'm not saying it's wrong. Please look into the Universe 25 experiment. It will really open your eyes.
The broad internet is a reflection of overall society - and some of the worst bits of it since there's a degree of anonymity allowing people to say alot of things that wouldn't fly well in real life. Smaller communities on the internet can be great, though. Keep looking - there are some pretty good Discord communities out there, and probably other things (I'm an internet old so that's about as newfangled as I've gotten) - hope you find some good ones!!
@overlordfemto7523"We care about you, child! The trans are groomers!"
That Burner Account is a chamber of horrors, I’m sure.
Some kids do want to stand up for the pledge but it should be a choice. I remember being a 5th grader being yelled at. Our teacher was in her 70's screaming at us for not standing up for the pledge. She found it disrespectful. We needed to be reprimanded in her eyes. I loved the education I received but I didn't have teachers who were okay. Some cried, begged, screamed and upright hated us students. That's what sucks here. Teachers don't get consequences for a lot do their behavior. Like imagine being a kid and being yelled at by your teacher almost every single week. While yes, teachers have and had their breaking point, my teachers had them constantly. It was a but embarrassing just sitting there being yelled at instead of learning. Being yelled at for being apart of a majority because another student did something. It sucked.
I grew up Evangelical as a kid and I *still* hated participating in the Pledge of Alliegiance. Long before I understood how culty-sounding it was, I just found it to be monotonous and empty. If I had the option back then to sit it out (read: late '80s through the '90s), I probably would have taken it.
No offence, but from the outside the US pledge of allegiance seems super cult like. It legit looks like those satires of fash places where they make you swear allegiance to the leader.
Other countries have their own sworn pledges of course. But it’s only ever taken by people who are like government officials and military and folks like that. Or people becoming official citizens. And even then it’s usually treated more as a formality
I personally believe that the pledge just shouldn't exist period. There's literally no reason beyond propaganda for it to exist and I find it hard to believe someone could genuinely want to recite it out loud in public without at least some indoctrination going on.
Wait how could they possibly claim to be centrist? They never criticize the right as centrists do. And they practically brand themselves as “libertarian” similar to “foundation for economic education”.

i remember i used to get in trouble for not standing for the national anthem. it's not even legal to force us to stand for it anymore but teachers still do.
also, it's so important and easy to understand and acknowledge your privilege. i am not only a white american, but a white south african. my great grandfather was literally PW Boutha. and guess what? i don't feel guilty. i know it's not my fault but it is my responsibility to undo the damage to the best of my ability. it's not that hard.
also, just because i have marginalizations, doesn't mean i'm not privileged. i am trans, bi, aroace, poor, my mom is a single mother, i have an abusive father(he's in south africa so my mom and i are both safe), and much more, but guess what? i'm still white and i still benefit from that
I find it ironic but also incredibly amusing how ultra conservative’s version of comedy ends up being a perfect satire of their own hyperbolic viewpoints.
Sometimes, friends and I will play a fun game of trying to guess whether a given meme or joke was created by a right-wing nut or a trans person having a lark. :D
America in particular is really really weird about nudity.
There is no age appropriate level of nudity, and even a woman feeding her baby can be yelled at for being sexual in front of children.
Any form of nudity or sex is seen as way, way more inappropriate than even the worst levels of gore.
I'm in California and I don't see many men being naked in my city. No man or boy is walking without pants or a shirt. I see nothing wrong with that.
Our video game rating system is a pretty easy way to tell how much more accepting the public is of violence and gore than they are of any nudity. "Fantasy violence, cartoon violence" even light realistic violence can make it into games rated E or T. But I don't think a single game even rated M can have full-"nudity" the most I have seen is the god of war breasts. It's pretty simple. It also seems to cause a unhealthy obsession with the body of others as a reward to be earned, or stolen.
@overlordfemto7523 plenty of places in europe have spas, saunas, beaches etc. where nudity for people of all ages/genders is accepted and seen as pretty normal, people go to saunas/spas with their entire family and they will all be naked. It isn't that anyone "needs" to be naked in public but that in situations where it can be more practical to be nude it isn't seen as a big deal or inherently sexual, because it isn't unless society makes it that way
I was banned from a Facebook tag group called "Semi-Automated Businesses Class Radical Centrism" for saying USians for 'mericans.

29:04 Oh hell, no. The Trevor project is to help struggling LGBT youth, especially suicidal ones. I myself have used their chats, and it has helped a lot. Its anonymous, and I have extreme trust issues. Plus, they are all affirming, so I don't need to worry about having a homo/trans phobic counselor. And, it is free. My family is poor and this has gotten me the help I need. They absolutely DO NOT discuss sex unless it is brought up by the patient. They are not randos, they are trained professionals. And, I think the Trevor project is for ages 13-24. Not 8 year olds. I hate it when people demonize actual helpful resources.
Different nations of native Americans use Indian, or hate it. The situation has no universal correct word
I had a trans friend in high school whose parents didn't accept him at all, but pretty much everyone at school (including staff) called him by his preferred name. It was so easy, and it was important for him to have a space like that. I'm not in a place where I can safely tell people my preferred name, but I used to be at a job where everyone called me my preferred name -- it made such a huge difference in my mental health. The first time I was called my preferred name there, I did a little dance because I was so damn happy. Just let us be happy where we can be
Anytime someone comes out as trans or nonbinary and wants to be called by different names/pronouns than before, it can be a little tricky at first, especially if you've known them a long time.
But they don't mind if you get it wrong a few times so long as they can see that you're taking a good faith effort. And after a little bit, you pick it up and it becomes second nature.
I can empathize to some extent people who feel a little uncomfortable with it at first, since it's strange to make that switch in your brain, but it really isn't hard in the grand scheme of it. For the few friends of mine who made that change, it only took a week or two to adjust. That adjustment didn't hurt me in any way and didn't cost me a thing, but it makes a HUGE difference to that friend, so it's a no brainer.
I'm sorry you're not in a place where you can share your name with the people around you. I'm sorry that there are people who wouldn't take actions that cost them nothing but would make you feel safe and valued. I hope you get there.

I personally like Mixels! In case you haven’t heard of it (which you probably haven’t) it’s a cartoon made in tandem with Lego about creatures who mix together. Surprisingly, it’s aged quite well, with the bad guys (the Nixels) being an (unintentional) allegory for people who want to inhibit peoples’ rights and freedoms (as they try to make the world’s only colors black and white;) while the good guys, (the titular Mixels,) are people who want to have fun and not be oppressed (similarly to LGBTQ people and people of color.) It’s pretty short, only having 26 episodes (22 of which are shorts, while the final four are specials) but they can all be found on RUclips (with the first two specials being in full, while the final two are split into clips.) In fact, two characters (Glomp and Hoogi) are voiced by a transgender woman, Maddie Taylor, (although she transitioned after the series ended.)
There are also a few voice actors of color, too; those being Carlos Alazraqui, Maurice LaMarche, Cree Summer, and Bumper Robinson (those are the ones I can name off the top of my head.)
Also, (according to the wiki) the Mixels canonically nonbinary (but prefer to use masculine and feminine pronouns.

i can only see a teacher assign students gender as either a fun class project, or as punishment to a student doing queerphobic bullying. "Let's see how SHE feels being misgendered."

19:53 As someone who went to public school in the Deep South.. it wasn't that overt but we were DEFINITELY taught that A) The USA was the best country on the planet, B) The USA is the most free country, C) Yes the US did some bad things but that all happened two hundred years ago so it's okay now, D) white privilege isn't a real thing and non-white people are just less successful by coincidence, and E) World War 2 happened. This is the only thing they taught about history, aside from some general remarks about the Founding Fathers and the Civil War. While World War 2 did definitely happen, and the Holocaust was definitely a real thing that shouldn't have happened but did... the impression I got from my education was that the US has been an active combatant in like... three or four wars. Turns out there's nearly fifty, as of an article from like fifteen years ago. That's at minimum 40 wars that were never even vaguely mentioned. It feels like every week I learn something new that I either wasn't taught about at all or was vastly misrepresented. Also, one of my teachers kept a (nonfunctional) gun on his desk. Another would NOT stop talking about his time in the marines and how kids these days lack discipline and everyone should join the marines.

That thing about nudity as a child is something that weirds me out by the people who think about that so incredibly different. I saw naked women in mailorder catalogs in the 90's advertising for like, erotic jewelry or what not and I basically turned pages looking for the most beautiful one and be giggly while being like "Hehehehe breasts!" or "Hehehe, a vagina!" in my mind.
(It was one of those images that I, at 3 or 4 years old slapped in front of my mom who was probably preparing dinner or something and asked her if I "was going to get all this when I am older", while pointing at the vulva and breasts, which was one of the first signs I wasn't exactly happy with my body).
But adults that are like "OMG Nudity around children sexualizes them!!!!" are probably people who can't remember their own childhood well, or are, like a piece of research recently showed: not raised well on this subject by their own parents and are stubborn and don't want to change this.
My cousin showed me a couple of these. This is the reason why I haven’t come out to him.
The kids need to know about sex part. Yes, absolutely.
I wasn't taught anything not because of bad things going on, but because my mum was/is essentially a prude. There were no age appropriate conversations. When I asked about my privates I was told I was too young, like??? That's A PART OF MY BODY!?
I wasn't taught what was okay/not okay for adults to say to me so when I got into bad situations online by MULTIPLE PEOPLE I told no one. Only one of those times was caught by my mum and all she said was "do you think this is okay?!" which, the fact she's shouting? No. But I legit thought it was okay because I didn't know. No one could talk me into sending photos so at least I'm fine on that behalf.
It also lead to a situation where a classmate took advantage of my naivety and lack of knowledge. Hell I skipped an entire section of my biology final exam at 15yrs old because looking at diagrams to label of genitalia made me so uncomfortable I'd feel sick/faint. I'm in my 20's now and only just been getting comfortable with the whole thing. Lack of age appropriate education severely screwed my life and mentality up.
On a wholesome note my partner is helping me overcome the longterm effects such as the discomfort and hatred towards my own body. Also, I'd always been curious about adult stores but been too uncomfortable to even have a look so they took me to one and I don't think they realise them casually browsing and looking at things and talking about what they'd been taught helped me feel a bit more normal about everything.

I'm not American (thankfully), so my best approach to the "guilt of the ancestors" issue would come from some other place. I grew-up Jewish, and as such, the Holocaust was a big part of my education (arguably the biggest). One of the teachers of the subject I most remember, talked about the supposed guilt of current day Germans. He said this: "They [Germans] aren't guilty of the holocaust. They are responsible, sure, but not guilty".
I feel like I'm rambling a bit, but I think it important to say. If your political view is that you shouldn't teach about slavery/genocide/etc. to children so as to not make them fell guilty, what you are really believing in is that the children (and yourself) should not bear any responsibility. As I see it, you ARE guilty. (Someone else can probably write this better than me, if so, please do).
In my opinion the important distinction is that people should not feel personal guilt for any horrific events carried out by others in the past but that we all need to be given the knowledge of past events so that we have the tools to spot any continuing issues resulting from those events or the potential for any similar events to occur in our present/future. Past actions by other people are not ours to feel direct guilt or responsibility for but the effects of the past on our present/future is ours to be responsible for and to feel guilt for if we sit by doing nothing to improve or prevent similar events and their continuing effects on peoples lives.
I feel like maybe this was the gist of what you were trying to get across in your comment but the wording didn't feel quite right to me, I think it can be very hard to get across ideas on these kind of topics as we all assign slightly different meanings to words like guilt and responsibility but hopefully I've still made sense.

I want every fellow artist watching this to know that if you ever doubted whether your art was good enough to put online, this is your cue to just do it. If this generic and hateful nonsense can be published so can you.
I mean... you can be in the center and leaning left or right. Being a centrist doesn't mean your conservative
Glad someone made a video about this channel as it kept showing up in my recommends. in my experience as an Ohioan we did learn about things such as the trail of tears, slavery, and such music genres as rock l and jazz. The holocaust was retaught almost yearly tbh we had a World war unit like every year and you got to choose between american and world history in High School. Its so gross and weird this cartoon implies we shouldn't or wouldn't teach these things \. What I learned may have been very surface level but it encouraged me to do my own research and to ask questions.
19:30 I went to elementary and middle school in rural Missouri and most all my teachers where like this unironically like kids wore maga hats to hat day 💀
This is a cringe watch for me; this channel came my way right when I was at my most impressionable towards the start of college. Granted, that was about five years ago, though I hardly consider that an excuse.
I'm just as angry as anyone that I used to be into them, but at the same time I left way before it got this overtly stupid (~start of COVID)
ngl i laughed when they said 'you think i'll serve a gay coffee? so you can be gay even faster?' #letmebegayfaster!!! but otherwise ew. no but the conservative classroom thing is real, i went to school in texas, teachers will gladly tell you about their gun licenses and get upset when you say that the civil war was about slavery instead of 'states rights'. thats like. SUPER important to them, you will actually fail a test if you dont say that.
these are funny but not for the reason the creators think they are.
Very off topic but YOUR EARINGS ARE AMAZINGG
In a sea of gross ideas, using the name Trevor (referring to the Trevor Project) the way they did at 29:00 is absolutely vile, and imo, very revealing of who they (the creator[s]) are and of their goal
Signing national anthem was something i always avoided doing. Because it was weird and made a heard out of everyone. So brain washing is true. On that and we need our unique differences. Unlike what society wants which is automons who are slaves and no thought processes for themselves.
I'm impressed you take these guys in good faith.
What is "good faith" and why do you liberals constantly cry about it?
@@chris135x joe many libaruls does it take to chaenge a log by bulb?
@@chris135x What is "good faith"?
_In human interactions, good faith is a sincere intention to be fair, open, and honest, regardless of the outcome of the interaction._ -Wikipedia
Bad faith arguments are when it's clear the opponent is just screwing with you by being utterly asinine and trollish.
As was said by Jean-Paul Sartre on why debate with Anti-Semites is a waste of time:
“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert.”
Her shirt reminds me of spinel
from what i recall about that channel a LONG time ago it actually USED to be centralist (or at least was good at pretending to be). they used to make cartoons making fun of how the news and politicians would constantly strawman eachother but slowly started to drift into pushing political views hence why i unsubscribed years ago. it truly is sad to see what the channel has become.
19:53 my ap world history teacher (who also teaches ap US history) has a "dont tread on me" flag and a bunch of other republican stuff...
Your makeup and hair are _flawless_ geeeeez ❣️❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤
Extreme persecution fetish, all of this was probably animated with one hand
How curious, because the majority of people who get found out talking to kids about sex online are white cishet men. And you know, Colleen Ballinger
Nope. Both men and women are capable of committing crimes.
Legend says she's still going to the aespa concert
As a trans person just out here in the world, it's terrifying not knowing which deranged fanfic strangers on the street have cooked up in their head to be mad at me about. Like, someone could accuse me of wanting to play sports with little girls or of forcing a kid to be gay when I haven't been near a school in my entire adult life.
I dont know about other American schools but I for sure learned a lot about black history and native Americans, obviously they still missed important things but those topics I did learn about. In Tennessee of all places
They make you do the pledge most of the time in elementary. I was allowed to skip the pledge if I was taking a reading test because I was finishing a book every 1 to 2 days. We had the principal sub for my class and I started taking my test before the pledge started and didn't finish before hand so I finished the test because standing to say the pledge would also time me out and fail my test making me retake it. After the principal came over and interrogated me ( and I use these words because she was very agressive in her tone and acting as if I had done something wrong that i should have to know was wrong) on why I didn't stand. I didn't get in trouble but basically she told me that wasn't ok and I had to stand for the pledge. I was in 5th grade and kept doing it becacause i hated standing up to say the pledge. I only stood when the principal was there.

I'm taking a history of Michigan class and the textbook is old enough nit to say native Americans. So I love fixing that in notes and assignments every time
so I just wanted to add my perspective as someone who's a bit older (29) and who grew up in a pretty conservative place where a lot of people, probably for religious reasons mostly tbh, were very much of the mindset that nude = sexual and while obviously I understand now as an adult that those beliefs are wrong and detrimental, i think the way you speak about "never having those thoughts cross your mind" while being a piercing assistant and stuff comes off a bit judgmental towards those of us who have to actively unlearn the way we were taught to view bodies.
obviously if you're making any context involving children sexual on the basis of nudity that's wrong and needs to be addressed but i feel like you're also coming from a bit of a privileged place because a lot of us did not have the opportunity to be raised as you did or to view bodies as you do. I'm not saying that your opinion here is wrong, i agree that bodies are just vehicles for our consciousness and that is all they should be outside of explicitly sexual connotations. however, i personally feel like you're saying that you're somehow better than those of us who are being forced to actively unlearn those responses to nudity as an adult because of the environments in which we were raised.
I've spent the last decade or so working on myself and changing how i view the world and i don't think that i am any lesser than simply because if i see a boob my brain tries to default to sexual because those are the neural pathways forged by my younger self. i am not lesser than you if i have to actively stop and remind myself hey those are boobs that's not inherently sexual. but the way you speak about it comes off as a bit accusatory, as if my childhood environment was my fault and that's not okay imo.
tldr; please remember that everyone has different backgrounds and people who might have to put in effort to change how they see certain things like nudity are not bad people. we're trying to be better but it's not something you can change overnight if you've been conditioned to believe nudity is by default sexual. to be clear, I'm not excusing people taking any kind of action based on those feelings bc it isn't okay and you aren't entitled to anyone's body just because you can see any part of it. I'm just saying maybe don't frame your argument in this way that makes everyone who was raised in places with stupid beliefs feel like they're bad people because they were brainwashed from a young age, especially if they're trying to unlearn those reactions.
Catch more Sexist Park on Comedy Centrist!
I feel the thoughts were more like "oh good flat chested, makes this easier". Because then they don't move as much when you try and line up dots. Boobs can jiggle if not supported, so I think larger breasts would be more difficult when trying to line up dots.
The pink colour thing is also so ironic because they’re saying because this kid likes pink we‘ll make him trans, which makes no sense. Like we all know full well that if the boy expressed that THEY would tell him to cut it out and stop acting „like a girl“ and pick a „manly“ colour to like 💀💀
“I am a centrist as I agree with the status quo” but that’s conservatism
As a Centrist he is a libertarian a BAD libertarian. Like calls himself a libertarian but acts as a right wing pawn.
But bro’s old shit is kinda fire though
Holy shit thank you I have been losing my mind on freedomtoons.
I just clicked this, and I'm so excited for this video, because I am well acquainted with freedomtoons. I used to watch it a lot when I was a young teen in my "i am being funneled down the right-wing rabbithole on youtube" phase (in my 20s now) so seeing someone I admire now covering this just feels like things have come full circle
Your hair and makeup is so pretty!
Yeah actually Indian is the more generally approved term by American Indians. I have a reservation really close by and on their website it says that it was they prefer so that's what I use but if your talking about a specific tribe you should use their tribal name. If your speaking generally you should use American Indian even if it makes you feel bas because it's what they want us to call the. Hope this helped!
I think it entirely depends on what tribe it is. I’m in Canada, and the term Indian is considered offensive (and factually incorrect) and so instead, we use Indigenous. I’ve also seen in America that a more preferred term is Native.
the teacher thing is hilarious to me because i've had both of those teachers. they both exist
I love ur stuffed animals they r so cute
The way you can tell these arent actually "centrist" views is that not once do they suggest that the right is in the wrong for any of their beliefs
Or maybe.. you arent a centrist...
You don't even know what the "center" of anything is.
@@chris135xNeither do you, you think liberals are leftists, which they are not. You're very politically illiterate yet speak so confidently it's hillarious actually.
Haven't finished the vid yet, but um, am I imagining things or was the book that the guy had just a picture of a "masculine" face with big boobs and then "XXX". It really reads "having a book with a trans woman is pornography" vibes tbh.
Also, in my experience & from what I've heard. The "leftist imagination" school is really, really, REALLY not that far off from what USAmerican schools ARE like. I used to get notable punishments if I didn't pledge allegiance, and we were taught "slaves loved their owners a lot of the time, actually". Plus all the "we've never lost a war", "colonization was good & necessary because we needed freedom from the British", "all the natives went extinct because disease & such & that's just how life is + they're stupid, not on us" (obvi native peoples are not extinct but,) etc. And the kids who fed into it would VERY MUCH go after you if you said otherwise, if the teacher just didn't pull a group shaming towards you.
I'm a millennial so very plausible things have changed, but from what I hear... not that much.
I think the best way I’ve been told about privilege is that it’s not a step up that you have it’s a barrier other people have, it’s not about taking away what you have or what you’ve achieved it’s about letting others have those same opportunities
9:44 Honest reaction to that mythinformation.
