Fall Kicks Off at Benning Terrace with Rebuilding Our Communities Block Party

Fall kicked off at Benning Terrace on Saturday, Oct. 5 with the DC Housing Authority's latest Rebuilding Our Communities Block Party. Benning Terrace families and neighbors hopped on moon bounces, played arcade games, listened to live music, and enjoyed food from various vendors.
DCHA staff knocked on doors of every household to ensure residents received a bag of free groceries, kids were able to take advantage of a toy giveaway, and free haircuts were available.
The free events aim to foster community among DCHA residents, build connections among residents and staff, and facilitate connections to local service providers offering education, workforce development and other opportunities.
