As a fellow pianist, who was taught to play this by my mother before she passed when I was 15, this puts tears in my eyes. I always hear the vocalist singing as I play it. And you just incorporated her voice into it, using the piano. I've wanted to hear someone do that. I am a talented pianist so I hear, and I still play this song almost 20 years after my mother taught me to play it, but life circumstances have caused me to go years without playing, leaving me less skilled than I would be if I hadn't had to take those breaks, but yet I can always pick this song back up in 15 minutes. And that makes me honestly feel like the reason is because my mother is there when I play this. I'm not even a religious person so this is weird, but anyway I've always thought of playing the vocals within the song, but have not kept practicing enough to have quite that level of skill. So thank you for allowing me to hear it and perhaps giving me the motivation to make sure nothing stands in my way of practicing enough to be able to do what you have done with the song. And to hell with anyone who gave you a thumbs down. It was amazing.

This is great, it’s the most accurate piano interpretation of Clare Torry vocals improvisation I’ve ever heard. The best interpretation after all, the feeling, the musicality, everything is just correct and greatly enjoyable. You are such a talented musician, thanks for sharing such magic with us.

I agree with roque on this Betty Barton. What Clare did on that first improvised take when she first heard that music is probably the most profound thing in music ever recorded. But what Vika does here is also pretty much beyond description.

She's got great taste, the songs she chooses to cover are all beautiful. Have you heard her Space Oddity (David Bowie) or Unchained Melody (Righteous Brothers)? Both practically make me wanna cry.
I haven't really had the luck to hear Unchained Melody, which now sounds like my next listen from Vika's covers, but I definitely enjoyed her rendition of Bowie's Space Oddity, one of my all time DB's fave tunes, if not my top favorite from him....It just brought back deep seated memories...
Holy shit, such an accurate cover, and I fucking LOVE how you incorporated the entirety of the song, not just the actual piano track, that takes major guts, and this was perfectly executed. I only wish I had a real, grand, antique, perfect sounding piano to donate so you can rock out on something that has a bit more audible feedback to it.
I've watched many of your videos, I know you're a professional player, I had no clue how you would resolve the voice part, I seriously thought we would hear you singing for the first time, instead I was still goose pumped to another level.
So perfectly done, when you start out it sounds just like Richard you really put the soul of the piece in there that really seems to be the challenge for even the technically great musicians and it is what makes guys like David Gilmour stand head and shoulders above even the most accomplished players is getting the feeling in there and you have. Absolutely brilliant.

Vika, my favorite Pink Floyd song ever and an integral part of my youth through today!! This music lives and breathes (really makes me miss Rick Wright big time)!! I must say that I enjoyed every glorious moment of the way you recreated this iconic tune on your piano!! I have played this and put together different arrangements over the years and was never completely satisfied as there is so much going on that is nearly impossible to capture, but you have gotten the closest to the sound of the original here and the 3 distinct voices are represented fabulously, as well as the complex harmonies!! I can tell you worked really hard on this and I am sure a bit challenging even for you :-) BRAVO for an incredible arrangement and performance Vika!!! You are still and will always be the reigning Queen of the piano and an inspiration to me :-) ~Jackie

Да вообще Pink Floyd сложно назвать песней, понимаешь моя самая любимая группа именно она, просто у них такие темы, я не знаю, они затрогивают самые важные темы в нашем сообществе: время, деньги, смерть (The great...) и тд, это действительно потрясающая группа, это даже что то нечто, это то что есть источником вдохновения....
Suomen_Flyers я к тому, что в песне есть слова, а здесь слов нет, кста, при всем уважении к Саманте Браун, девки из DSOT, "проорали" )) ее круче, имхо конечно
