- And another electronic soldering practice kit.
This one has some new challenges. For once it has new components like inductors but this was just mounted like any other through-hole resistor. More importantly, it featured my first surface mounted IC.
Spoiler: I was really impressed by the quality of the sound. It actually is a decent battery powered radio
Name on Ebay:

I made this radio and I connected the SMD microcontroller with solder paste flux without to use solder wire
Mine came with two crystals in the kit, and i picked one at random since i can't figure out a way to check how precise each of them is. And maybe it doesn't matter?
It also came with only 2 resistors. I installed only R1 and R2 since i think some functionality won't work without them. I could go find where i put my resistor kits that i have at home and install some 10k or 100k in R3 and R4 positions but it seems to be working OK without them?
Also a lot of black paint came off the chip surface. Yuck... But the IC designation is still not legible.
Looks like you didn't put the antenna, Friend.
Let's say I have like the old National sensitive radio without the FM band/channel how can I fix the FM band on this radio ?
what is its power consumption? Going to replace the batteries with rechargeable ones.
I only hear a click, it does not pick up any station.
Nice work! Where’s the antenna?
That's a good question. I that the grounding of the audio cable is used. But I can not prove it.
I found this, he seems to know what he is talking about ;). goughlui.com/2016/09/28/project-reverse-eng-hex3653-av2b-stereo-fm-receiver-kit/
There is a solder point on the board for an antenna
Yes, I spotted that too Gary :-)
Fake🤣🤣🤣
