Lakshmi, the 32-year-old elephant of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple in Puducherry, collapsed and died of a suspected cardiac arrest on Wednesday morning.
Lakshmi, accompanied by her two mahouts was on her daily morning walk from her enclosure at Sri Vedapureeswarar Temple on Eswaran Kovil Street when she died

வரப் போகும் யானைக்கும் நம்ப லக்ஷ்மி ஞாபகமாக லக்ஷ்மி என்று பெயர் வைத்தால் நன்றாக இருக்கும்

The space for Lakshmi at vinayagar temple is very small and narrow.
Go and see meenatch temple trichy chidambaram, vaithiswarancovi karaikal sanniswarar temples.Large area to move,and natural place with air.
Whereas at pondy small area polluted with smokes etc spoiled the health of Lakshmi.Besides for the past 2 years she didn't go for camp where all the elephants enjoy ,also sexuality is very important for animals like human beings.
Only in south india at temples we see elephants.I don't know who has preached us .

it is temple administration they did not take care for Lakshmi and the government should visit atleast a week people cry after lakshmi left heaven but everyone were possessive for blessings but what was her health problem we could not find where are the liver scannreports xray reports blood test reports taken for lakshmi what was the medicines given and what for it was given may be over dose of medicines also no resistance when she had taken empty stomach when we are sick we cant take bath due to lack of immunity same lakshmi had lacknof immunity and she dod not have strength as laskhmi should not eat salty sweety foods as for human it is okay even for fo we call bhairavar people give salty food sambar rice curd rice which end up kidney failure for them
lakshmi should be taken special care for her food people give grass fruits sarkaraipongal it has to get diegested first as lakshmi belongs to manakula vinayagar property special care takers to be given
just giving sweets may end up in diabetics of cardiac attack
so we should know every being is created we can show love and affection at the same time we cant guve left over food for lakshmi
every devotees who come to temple gave grass fruits they dont even was it or clean it properly just they guve it as the grass may have mud in it may food poisoning also
