- In this flashback, Godfrey shared his thoughts on Jane the Virgin actress Gina Rogriguez being accused of making anti-black statements in various interviews. Godfrey explained that he has experienced Latinos being racist toward black people, which he believes is ironic considering the African heritage in other countries. Godfrey went on to share how black women are disrespected in Hollywood with the roles that they are given, and he added that the black community is supportive of other minorities but he feels like it's not reciprocated. There was a 40ish year old black women that I met at my work a few years ago because some dude said some racist remarks to her and I told him to gtfo. She seemed really sweet and invited me to her house for dinner. First of all that was possibly the best meal I've ever had, but more importantly she's basically a second mother to me. She's always asking about my life and sharing her wisdom with me, showing me better ways to view the world and life in general, that type of shite. The most caring person I've met in my life was a humble black woman and Godfrey is right they get shit upon more than anyone else but yet they seem mature into the best people there are. Obviously I can't speak for all of them but based on what I've encountered that's how it is.
