- Sinclair ZX Spectrum 16k - composite video mod.
The device appears to be faulty so I'll repair it in the next video.

Is desoldering the Resistor really necessary'? The RF circuit is not powered anymore?

There are still passive components in the RF circuit so it's safer to desolder it. And it only takes a few seconds...

I would suggest you put that information in the description, because I can totally see people with less experience (like me) not bothering unsoldering the resistor, on the account the circuit is not powered anymore.
