Love my Condor, need it to be on my board at all times, can't send it in! That mod would be pretty cool, potentially, but I think I might just want to mess with this crazy-ass power rail clipping instead. Good tip.
This is off subject, so feel free to ignore, but is it possible(or realistic) to configure the expression or cv port as an FX loop/ insert? I ask more so for other pedals, like being to put stuff between the channels on brothers, or just effecting the wet signal on tonal Recall/thermae/ or dark world?
That would be awesome, but I really don't think that's possible. FX loops on delay and reverb pedals needs to be a bigger thing, cause its awesome. Being able to affect only the delays on the Tonal Recall or Thermae would be improving upon perfection.
Can something similar be done for Brothers? At higher gain levels the drive circuits start to clip really hard and the low mid frequencies start to get pushed really hot.
Thiery Laverdure the only time this phenomenon happens on Brothers is with really pushing or cascading the B boost, and it’s super easy to avoid. Otherwise the clipping always comes from diodes or transistors, not the power rails.
@@ChaseBlissAudio I'll keep the distortion then! And, I can't believe you're getting this sound on the clean channel. I'll have some experimenting to do later.
Thanks for the video. Although it is an impressing pedal I found the overdriven texture a bit too grainy if you know what I mean. Also, why on some gut-shot pictures of the Condor the board inside has full-size components, and on some others like here the board is SMD with surface mount components? To my personal (subjective) experience, almost all the SMD pedals sound not at pleasant/warm/organic if you will. It's like there is a kind of harsh overly bright static is accompanies the main sound? And mind you not just on OD/Disc pedals but even on analog modulation pedals that is more or less my experience. Cheers!
"We'll cut this. It's fine." Joel, you're the coolest. Always love how authentic and transparent you are.
Greatest jack daniels commercial I’ve ever seen

i love it when videos keep that shit in
Wow I cant believe there is such a quick fix for sore throat 🤔 ive been missing 😅
Joel, just bought the Condor as my first Chase Bliss Pedal. Super excited to join your army!
Just, once a week, come out and all to us about some cool thing like this. A+ format, hiding the alcohol from the shot was brilliance
I was hoping he would pull it all the way into the shot.
Dude... You feel like family.
Condor ordered.
Very nice info, love my condor!!! :)

Great stuff as always, Joel! Also, EtOH kills viruses, so I recommend to keep drinking.
Thanks for the informative video. Maybe you should do another while using the other pedals together?🤔
Love it 👌🏻
Is there a definitive guide to trimpots on CBA pedals?
Yeah - Tonal Recall RKM one please!
+1 to this. Someone look in a mirror and say "Paul Uhl" three times then ask him to do it when he appears behind you.
That would be interesting

Just bought this for synth use and indeed that power rail was wierd, great tip! Where would you recommend to put condor before or after tonal recall?
Is the active eq adding to the gain and using up the “headroom”?
Too bad it was discontinued. Its the only analog parametric eq pedal with presets.
I always tell my wife that whiskey is the best solution to a sore throat, see honey, I´m not the only one!

@@ChaseBlissAudio Gotcha, thanks! I'd be interested to know what the trim pots do in the Brothers too 😁
If you do end up offering a max headroom mod, I'm guessing that this juicy power rail distortion goes away?
Nathan Schneider indeed

Id be much more likely to buy one if I could get console-Esque distortion, so I guess I’d rather not have the mod?

Nice. Where is the trimpot to adjust the amount of gain for the drive portion?
Did not cut it lmao I'm getting Condor now Joel take my cc
Leave the whisky on shot ..
envoid that
