One of the most elegant looking modern cars out there. And that engine is just pure eargasm.
I can’t with the grill ☹️
They don’t do it very often, but when Lexus really puts their mind into making a car. They really can make a masterpiece. We saw that with the LFA which which is one of the greatest supercars ever made. In the LC you can see a little bit of that same formula.
heard it in a tunnel in boston & here i am now 💀 what a car
An eargasm. I like that, a lot 🏖️
Bmw m5 says hold my 🍻
I had my eyes on 911 Carrera S, and C8, and even AMG GT. All of them great cars, but their reliability always was in the back of my mind. When the 2024 LC 500 came out with the touch screen, it was a game changer for me. I put an order, and waiting for dealer to confirm if Lexus accepts the build which might take 6-7 months.
sweet! what color did you get
@@joshdutton5569 Ultrasonic blue mica with white and blue interior and all the carbon package.
Porsches are great but for the price the LC500 is a better car, more usable (unless you love the track or backroads 24/7), equally if not more reliable, and far more unique… Both are beautiful but one is the go to and the other is a rare gem that just so happens to be more affordable without sacrificing quality or luxury… It’s a hard car to pass up, and working at a Porsche dealership myself you’d think I’d take the 911 but for an every day car the LC500 is just fantastic, I’d pick it 6/10 times if not more…
@@griffins750 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree with you, and I will not be tracking this car. The 911 is a great performance car, but they are expensive to purchase and maintain. I should receive my LC500 next month, and it was custom built and shipped.
Between those 4 options, I would take the LC500, hands down.
Yep the real Mk5 Supra!
@@anydaynow01 I agree
@@anydaynow01didn't know supras were supposed to have a v8
@@anydaynow01lol no
@@ramanmonkeysupra were originally GT cars, not sports cars. This is a true successor. The engine is the legendary part of the mk4, but it's not what makes a supra a supra, it's the whole package.
I've owned the corvette z51, the Jag F type R, and now the Lexus LC 500 convertible. I like the LC the most. It turns more heads and the comfort cannot be beat. It also has a 10 year unlimited miles warranty. The Lexus dealer treats me like a king when I roll in. With all that stuff in mind - the quality of the car has me worry free. It is my daily driver if it even remotely works & I run it hard. I wish it accelerated like the vet, and miss the AWD of the F type. We can't have it all now can we?
And it’s pretty inexpensive for a car of its manner.
It's a $107,000+ car. I would expect that kind of treatment from dealership and luxury car comforts with performance.
I have a c7 z51 now and hoping these depreciate down into the mid 50s by the time my warranty is up 🤞🏽. With that said, I'd think the c7 turn more heads.
This is a Grand Tourer of the first order. It was never built to compete with a 'Vette in the performance realm. But it runs circles around the 'Vette when it comes to class, style, and sophistication.
The only lexes on sale that’s impossible to hate on
I mean look at it. Exterior is stunning. Interior is still out of this world. Comfort is tops. V8 sounds fantastic
@Brian Lee it exists purely for emissions regulation reasons, I'm sure the team at Lexus hated stripping the LC of its iconic V8
@Brian Lee Funny thing is, given the weight and HP , the MPG is quite good.
16/25 is great
put it in comfort or eco and it does even better. I get 30 highway in eco and 27 highway in comfort
I can't wait to be the 4th owner to one of these beauties 🤞
Just ordered a Bespoke 2024 model today! The wait will be terrible, but it'll all be worth it upon delivery. Great video!
Right on! Enjoy it 👍
Will forever be my dream car. Cant wait to get one next year 😏🔥
I heard they were keeping the V8 for next year!!🎉🥳🥳
Why not go for the LFA then if it's your dream?
@air_ rarity and it's expensive
@@JH-Carbon dream car could be anything regardless if you could realistically obtain it.
@air_ but the LFA wasn't his dream car. It's the LC500
Almost got an LC500, but they wanted 25k over sticker, and wouldnt let me test drive without putting my credit info down so I walked. Ended up with an F type R which is super fun.
My point exactly
please tell me you leased that jag 😂
@@sai-pc5fl hahaha... no. I'm not going to be selling it /trading in. Plan to get a 4 door cruiser next and go between the two.
@@WeBuild4Life Cadillac ct5 v blackwing
@@WeBuild4Life oh ok. I’m sure you’ll take care of it as we all know jaguars aren’t the most reliable vehicles. Obviously you know what you’re doing and even getting a second car to alleviate some of the mileage you put on it. Congrats tho! The F types I feel are a more rowdy version of the LC
Loved mine, and Flare Yellow got SOO much attention. Nailed it. You perfectly described how balky & clunky the transmission is in normal driving for no good reason, so that’s unique.
If you can own one, one day. Just do it.
This engine with Lexus build quality is just…💯✅
Lexus V8 cars based on the platform this lc is have issues with the driveshafts and differentials, and suspensions problems are common before 100k km. Lexus quality is a myth, S classes do 2 million km with rare oil changes and have no repairs. Def more reliable than rusty lexuses in this regard.
I would love an LC and was really into it but then test drove one, and it was great, love the looks, but it’s low on features and equipment, like an 80s BMW, not even a 90s one, honestly not better than the first LS, not sure what’s Lexus doing.
A good car if you want to have an additional car just to drive around from time to time, but as a main car, little comfort features, and tech, both from the infotainment standpoint and the engineering one.
A cool car but would only see buying it and driving for a year with a minimal loss, but I know that no one wants those cars so I guess I’d be stuck.
And lack of customization at this price point is outrageous, no interior options, terrible
@@Brian-jv8iy There’s multiple color choices, and a Bespoke model. LC is the single only Toyota/Lexus model you can actually order. 2024 now gets WAY more colors inside & out and the updated Lexus infotainment.
@@Brian-jv8iy No issues in any I’ve had, and a higher quality feel than other brands I’ve had. But an LC is a lot to live with daily, between the harsh transmission & big coupe but no space in back feel. Art piece for weekends, extra car, for SURE💯✅
how does it feel to use a trackpad in 2023 in a new car🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡
What a car! One of the best car reviews I've ever seen, you drove that car the way I would, and that sound, nice job!
My neighbor has one in our Condo garage. Many more expensive and, frankly, better vehicles in that garage, but this LC500 gets the most compliments. Non car people think it's an exotic. Gets offers on it all of the time.
It really does stand out
Finally a Lexus LC500 V8 pov in a rainy weather🥰🥰!!! thanks man👍
The most beautiful underrated modern car no one will buy unfortunately
lexus is getting rid of that touchpad infotainment and implementing the new touchscreen infotainment, I feel like this will get people to like it more
@@Damonish888 I really hope so this is a beautiful piece of engineering
@@Damonish888 The car doesn't sell because of an infotainment system. The performance is weak vs other GT cars in the class. It has the looks and sound, but performance is sorely lacking.
@@MercOneno one buys GT cars for crazy performance
I did. And still love my LC. 🤩
Great review. I'm glad you posted it. I thought for over a year on this, ended up with 2023 Corvette stingray, 2lt, and it gets lots of compliments whenever I drive it. But still, the LC 500 is so sexy and appealing, it was a tough call. I hope it sticks around long enough for me to get one in a few years.
You make a great point here miles. This car perhaps isn’t the most optimized choice, especially given the statistics you shared about the Corvette. However, the buyer of the LC500 has probably made a deliberate, contemplative, and (hopefully) ultimately content decision. This is almost like the AMG E53 you reviewed couple years back -- a car for life’s winners.
Amg has all the equipment and features expected of a car at its price point, LC500 has as much features and is as technologically advanced as a 98 Mercedes A class.
Definitely has to be an informed choice to buy the lc, lack of equipment a simple 2003 VW Touran my dad drove me to school in was a dealbreaker for me.
As an LC500 owner (just ordered my 2nd), you're dead on with "deliberate" and "contemplative". I've never had to justify a car purchase to other car guys as much as this one.
Slower in a straight line than a new Supra, that costs half as much? Yep. But that Supra isn't a real Toyota, the LC500 is.
Far less performance than a comparably priced (or ~$20K less) C8 Corvette? Yep. And when those are common as dirt, then you're just another guy with a Corvette.
This is the real Mk5 Supra. Overpriced grand tourer that isn't overstyled? Sounds like the Supra to me. This car is stunning in person, and will be 10 years from now. And in 10 years when these cars have been discontinued, everybody will be asking why people didn't buy more of these. I look forward to that day, because I'll no longer have to justify the purchase. At that point, everybody will finally get what a few of us already understand today.
@@jimmy-buffettexactly, if I just want a straight line car, I will buy a Tesla Mode SP.
@@Brian-jv8iy If technological advancement means lesser reliability and lesser peace of mind, old-school is better. And you can stick to VW, thanks.
My 2024 arrives in 6-8 weeks. That's the same engine as my 2016 GSF.
You're a rare bird to have a GSF as well! Enjoy the new LC
Wow! Awesome
Great review. Love the enthusiasm 🎉
Those lexus gauges that move are perfect. Not as old as traditional gauges without too much info, but they aren't "just a screen" either. I love them.
To me it’s a good car ..
good review bro keep it up 👍
Just started my car review channel, you my good sir are an inspiration and I will constantly try to be similar to you in my videos .
I'm honored! Best of luck with the channel 👍
What a fascinating observation, Miles. Chrome clashes with Yellow, I've always thought so too. With so many modern finishes available on wheels it's easier to see Yellow paintwork (especially the mustard variety) paired with more pleasing wheels and trim pieces. What a shame Lexus offers the V8 only in the coupe, sales of the LS sedan would be transformed with that engine. The LC500 remains the flagship of the Lexus fleet and it's unique combination of features will make it a collector's prize in the future. Thank you, Miles.
Now you have me drooling over the idea of the LS with this engine, Edd 🤤
Agree about this color combo. The yellow should be ordered with black wheels. But I'm not a fan of yellow, black wheels or black interior.
Would choose the LC for sure, great video thanks for sharing
I’m so glad you reviewed this car I love what I’ve seen but I’m so sad it was raining when you got it
I'll hope for dry weather when I get a chance to review the 2024
I personally went for the LC500. I went even more visceral by swapping the exhaust to an Armytrix...A little over 5 yrs later, I'm still in love with it....
Wow! I haven't heard that exhaust in person, but I'm glad you're still loving it
@@MilesPerHr absolutely
@@RichWithCarshow’s the reliability? Beautiful car btw
Great review! Cant wait to get one one day 🤞🏼
Glad you liked it!
Driving the LC500 in Sport+ is like conducting an orchestra with your foot. It makes music.
Elegant style and the roar of a V8 sound!
I love the look of that car a lot, I think the yellow looks really good with the silver, everything is proportional, i love the silhouette too.
I love it !
Now my car to buy!
With an exhaust this car is perfect
One of my favorite and dream car
Man that engine jus is amazing bro❤❤
Bought one used. Best car ever!
Have my 2024 new LC500 being delivered next week. I can’t wait. Glad for the 2024 electronic upgrade. Passed on the older track pad model.
How is it
@@chrome-chan9914 it’s been a wonderful and amazing car. Truly a GT. Very well put together. Highly recommend if that’s the type of car you want.
I ordered my LC500 coupe bespoke build in Nightfall Mica (2023 is the last model year of that color) a year ago and bought it in May. It was always a no brainer decision. With concept car looks, it’s a head turner and I thoroughly enjoy how rare it is to see one on the road! Lexus quality, exhaust note sound, class interior , moving gauge, rare to see - do I need to say more?
And when you see another lc500 you just can’t help smirk and smile
That's one smooth V8 there 👍
Dream car. ❤
It's a classic it never ages
What a beautiful car! Lexus LC 500 for me!
You aren't able to access the heated/ventilated seats via apple carplay/android auto tho correct?
Is there a pop up spoiler in the rear?
Did you have Lane Tracing on? Kinda weird how it went over the line like that. I've never seen my IS do that with lane tracing on. Maybe with it off it'll only step in if you make a mistake.
Coupe with the performance pack! All the way.
Nothing against many good sports cars, but I want a luxury convertible with a bit of attitude… so I picked up a 24’ LC 500 (has a touch screen vs touch pad).
This car is a Porsche pdk away from being one of the greatest cars of all time … I love pretty much everything else about it man.
I’ve had my ‘23 LC500 for about 600 miles. Super styling, unbelievably comfortable seats and an exhaust note that sings, what else could anyone want? 🏖️
Better handling capability
@@G0ddEityawesomeit handles extremely well actually

That lc500 still has that blood from the LFA it’s like the little brother of the LFA
Two best custom plate ideas for this car are LFAJR and REALMK5
@@jimmy-buffett genius 🍷🗿
ONE ONLY JDM KING
The rev matched auto is not a real DCT, are they going to release a manual transmission for this car? As much fun as it looks with the stab-it-and-steer auto I can only imagine it would be way more fun with a manual.
That color pops! Even on a gloomy day
What a car
Who would get this over a m3 or m4 comp xdrive? 0-60 2.9-3.1 sec 11 flat quarter mile. At this price u could do all the aftermarket parts u want and have it looking insane. Adro grille is so 🔥. " 720s and m4 play in the rain " " adro g82 m4 competition blue "
Infotainment kept me from going LC500 a couple of years ago. Waiting for the 2024 convertible (Socal and to hear that v8 even better)
I have a '21 in Nightfall Mica, getting a '24 for the Ultrasonic Blue. Wife is OK with the decision because she hates the trackpad. Win win.
Ha! Now that's salesmanship
The standard wheels on these look so good.
Can you also do IS
500 F Performance. The same V8
The coupe for sure
My dream GT car 😍
GREAT CAR ,great laguna beach
Make sure you lock color temperature before filming bright yellow stuff, the color temp change is way too noticeable.....

Nice car!
I wish my 2021 IS 500 had this interior
What's the difference between LC and LF models? What does LC and LF stand for??🤔
Lexus give customers what they need, luxury, style , performance and durability. I can speak for myself. I have an RX 350 for 10 yrs not a single problem at 355 thousand km its still perform great . Toyota and lexus you pay alittle more but u don't have break down all the time like some other manufacturer. It's just just basic maintenance u need to take care .
The upshift sound! Sad we only have LC500h here on sale.
Oh no! The 500h just isn't the same experience
I’m listening to this video in my Lexus! LOL
looks great, sounds great, probably drives great but for 100k there are too many options out there.
Lexus hands down
Number one in reliability
I want one
I will have this car one day
Easy you can pickup a 2018 model, less than $65k.
I thought about this... In the end after a long time thinking, I got my deposit in for a manual Lotus Emira First Edition.
I love the exhaust note, but the exterior seems a little too flashy to be used as a daily driver. I think if I was going for a coupe and it had to be Lexus I'd for the RC or RC F.
Got it in white. This vehicle delivers on the bumble dates. It's almost unfair 😂
Lc 500 the best !!!
Is that engine the closest sound you can get to an LFA?
I like one in drop top so I can hear that roaring V8.
Drop Top please.
If Lexus, LFA and Lexus IS 500 had a baby, this would be it
Coupe all the way 😂 as I own one !!!, I don’t allow food and drinks in my car 😂😂😂, FYI in Canada it’s 120,000 out the door full load .
I wish they made it like the corvette a two seater rather than additional extra weight that made it a bit slow
m850i or lc500? i think theyre direct competitors
LC for me. Feels like more of an occasion than the M850i
In reality, the LC500 isn’t comparable. It’s distinguished. You don’t need anything else.
My dream car (one of ..)
Best Video. Top
I wish you can test drive the new 2024 corvette e-ray
Hoping to!
somehow yellow fits this cars character perfect since this has a v8.
I don't understand why this isn't the best selling luxury vehicle in the world
They are selling this at 126.000€ while it does look great, that is very expensive. It’s almost irrelevant unless you’re a company owner and lease it and are able to write it off as a business expense
Love from Pakistan
Very wise to put the sticker over the speedo 🧐
Backseats for insurance purposes 😅
I prefer the LC 500 because it’s a Lexus
I'd have those back seats removed and have a simple storage area created.
Smart
I love this car in real life but I hate it in CSR2 bc it beats all of my cars 😭
This costs 220k here in the Philippines. Insane.
Is it not php10mil in philippines coz I just checked their website
If they would just drop the chrome this car would be perfection imo
It’s a hard sell between this and the cayman gts 4.0. With options they cost the same.
The Lexus pampers you much more, but the GTS 4.0 is sharper to drive. If I had a different daily driver, I'd go GTS 4.0. If not, the LC500 manages both duties super well
The Lexus has better ground clearance. Why this is left out of most reviews is silly.
