      Thanks! When he gets like this it can be startling. I'll be working and *Crash* he's running all over like this in his enclosure. He's so funny.

    I handled my besrdie right from day one when we bought him. Every video said don’t do this don’t do this and it’s day 7 today and he sleeps on my chest before I go to bed. It’s cute, he’s super adventurous, loves exploring doesn’t like crickets to much but loves some dubias and bokchoy. His names Darnell from my name is earl!

      I'm glad that worked out for you! Every beardy is different. Mine took a long time to be ok with being handled, he was very skittish.

      Thanks so much!!! I'm enjoying purple and pink the most. Today is pink and blue. Although, the pink is becoming purple with the blue each time it washes. Lol.

      Definiately upgrade to a 4x2x2 enclosure. I got mine from Maximum Reptile. Dubia.com and Zen Habitats also have great enclosures, I've been told. The mat in my enclosure is from Zen Habitats.
      You're close in gallons, as the 4x2x2 is 120 gallons. You can always go bigger. But as an adult, 4x2x2 is now considered the standard. In fairness, if you've had yours for 7 years, the size you're using is bigger than what was expected back then. Awesome job!

    What do use for the substrait

      The black mat in the enclosure is from Zen Habitats. I've used paper towels, which is fine for quarantine. And I used reptile carpet with my first beardy, but wouldn't again.... it's hard to clean and it can snag nails.
      Hope that helps!

      I use sand just make sure you get reptile cleaning spray and a scooper you have to scoop poop out then spray where it was to kill the bacteria its pretty easy cleaning

    Late night, I found my beardie decided to burrow under her salad dish sleeping. I snapped a photo but am not sure how to send it to you. I found it a delight because she is always making me chuckle each and every day.
    I obtained her after the padding of my best-friends death.

      Thanks so much for noting that! My first beardy had reptile carpet and I got rid of it when I heard about the nail risk and the bacterial issue. That was old footage. Good catch! :)

    They lick things for Marking their markings

    • @Midwest_Lizard_Mom
      @Midwest_Lizard_Mom  3 месяца назад

      I've wondered that, but I haven't found anything confirming it. I have read that they can rub their legs on surfaces to rub their pheromone secretion of their pores. And that's a way they mark their territory.
