From action figurines, to lunch boxes, back packs, you name it. If Gene and the group could of been a fly on the wall of that bus way back then, they would of seen how truly inspiring they were to American youth.
I’m 67 and we started listening to kiss in 1975-76 even went out and paid 200 dollars for boots back then ,really nice to see them make it this far after hearing of all who have passed. Lots of hard work and dedication year after year a solid effort.
Amazing moment... Being a fan since the 70's till now, and after their early 80's career stumble, this day seemed like it would never happen, but they did, just amazing. KISS has reached such legendary status !!!
Sebastian Bach what a cool memory to have, being a hardcore KISS fan as a child and now being mentioned by KISS guitarist himself after the last show, how cool is that
Saw KISS in Baltimore three days before their final show. Such an amazing show. These guys could keep going on and on and I know many feel this farewell tour will be like the rest and it's not legit but you see Gene like this and you know it's over. He knows it. The guy is nearing 75 and dressing like this every other night for 2 hrs a night and doing what they do takes a toll on you. Gene has heavily praised older rockers like Springsteen and Mick Jagger but he has said he doubts they would've been able to wear this outfit night after night for all these years and make it to the point they are at. Thanks for the memories Gene!
My daughter and I were at the same show in Baltimore, MD. Floor level, Section 1, Row T ! Loved It! Been a fan since I was 10! Brought my 19 year old to the first/last show!
I was watching on live stream, wish I could have been there in person, but awesome show , sad to see it come to an end, I've been a kiss fan and collector from a kid, I will 100% miss these guys, thank you for the years you have gave us
Seen them 7 times with makeup, I know, everyone has seen them more. Point being, they are a wonderful distraction, not anything I have downloaded on Spotify and don't listen to regularly, but after 250 concerts in my life, they are, still, by far, the greatest entertainment show ever....
the end of the journey with the demon and the tears ares almost falling from his eyes ...... thank for all , thank for what you did for the fans , the rock even for my own life 🤘🤘🤘thank KISS for being part of my life since the end of my chidhood .
Pretty sure that's the first time I've EVER seen Gene break character while in makeup... not that I blame him for getting emotional, it's just a very fitting time. The demon was laid to rest after a final battle. That is assuming they stay retired this time, of course.
I was a kiss fan when I was in kindergarten. My first album was Rock and Roll Over. It just came out and when I was over my aunt's house before going to school and she was playing it. She showed me the album cover and I just somehow at my young age of 6 got drawn into that image and the music that was playing. They were my first band I ever liked. Then after I got introduced to Tull and progressive rock and that's been my go to for most of my life. Still though, thank you Paul and Gene for the memories and all in all some pretty good music. Thank you for being as passionate about us the fans as you were to the music. We were truly all in it together for 50 years
Opinions set aside about Gene in general, this was very emotional for him. He's watching something he's invested in the majority of his life cone to an end. His work ethics have been very committed and it has paid off on many levels. But hes going to be an emotional wreck for a time as with anyone who's put in over 110% in what they do. It's still a pity that Ace and Peter couldn't be a part of this. What a terrible way to bow out. But sometimes life isnt fair and you to be thankful for what you still have and what's still existing.
@@Noclaf555Although it would have been nice to see Ace and Peter get on stage for a few the encores, they got their chance on Reunion/Alive Worldwide Tour in 1996 & original Farewell Tour in 2000. I was blessed to have seen the OG 4 makeup lineup of KISS live for both of those tours. Im thankful to have also seen the non makeup lineup line up with Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick circa Hot in the Shade Tour 1990. And just as grateful to have seen the current and LAST lineup with Eric Singer & Tommy Thayer when both KISS & Mötley Crüe toured together on The Tour circa 2012. Love'em or hate'em, this band made rock 'n' roll history (aka (KISS-tory). Thanks for all the music & memories! 🤟🏾😎
I would've loved that as well, but they both had their chance(s). Many people say they treated Ace and Peter badly, but Gene and Paul kept this band going for 50 years, of which Ace and Peter were only involved in 10 (give or take). Egos aside, I can see Gene's take on Ace and Peter.
They tried to keep those guys happy within reason... saw a mid/late 90s interview where Paul kept trying to help Peter feel better by pulling him closer and subtly instructing the interviewer to pay more attention to and talk to Peter too. I have no doubt Paul and Gene tried to keep those guys happy, but it's sometimes impossible due to emotional issues, drama, sycophants warping reality, etc.
I saw them back in 2019 on this same tour. That night they played Crazy Nights at the same time that they played Do You Love Me in this final set, and let me tell you that during a moment in the chorus where it was just the crowd I looked at Gene and this big Demon character suddenly had a heart somewhere in there because I saw him take a moment and shed a quick tear or two before jumping back into the song. I knew then that whenever this night did come that it was going to be more emotional than anybody anticipated.
I just got back last night from NYC and did both nights. A weekend to remember forever. BTW, that pulsating hum heard in the background is the "Kiss" sound through the house PA after the event was over. We heard it when we stayed until the MSG staff told us to leave.
@@Tgogators yes. Met him several times since 1987. He was always great to chat with. He speaks 5 languages (although at the time he said he really only knew enough Japanese to get laid, and that was one of the 5).

Never, ever in a million years did I think Gene would make me tear up…….but, here we are! Best Gene interview ever! He hides behind a massive heart! Ps, Sophie is sooooo hot!!!!! 😂 also that interviewer! ❤️
Gene was deflecting to avoid crying in some of this. Rightfully so. Hes watching the end of something he helped build from the ground up for 50 years of his life. Sunday I woke up and thought to myself, This is the first day KISS, as a functional touring band, doesnt exist since I was born in 1983.
Gene always uses the line; “without the fans, we would just be asking people if “they would like fries with to that””. Fast food workers seem to be the scourge of society to Gene, and ironically that is the field of work for most kiss fans.
Gene will always be a rock n roller, and you can't be anything but emotional at the end of a LONG career. He mentioned his family being his Jesus, well i hope one day he accepts the REAL Jesus. I think Kiss ended their career on a high note, this is the best time to call it a day.
@robmartin217 Well since Gene is a businessman, he's always looking for a good deal. Jesus is the best deal there is. The rewards are forever, and the joy is immeasurable.
They said about the Titanic... Not even God can sink her. God said... Challenge accepted. Titanic gets sunk on her maiden voyage. John Lennon said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Jesus said... Challenge accepted. The Beatles break up and John is gunned down. Now Gene says his family is his Jesus. Waiting to see how Jesus answers this.
The man goes from being emotional about his mom to talk about a kidney stone in the tip of his penis in less than 3 seconds and wants to auction it… the man is surreal!
Think of the 'fans' who were there. These were mostly non fans just wanting to be part of the last show, no doubt. The real fans can hardly afford tickets anymore to see their fav bands. Its a shame.
Gene's persona, much like mine: To captivate or to horrify, ... humorously. And really, isn't that the norm for most entertainer's embellishments? His wit and commitment to family was always his poorest attempt to hide, and he relishes that fact. Genius.
You just know that Gene Simmons read the "Famous Monsters of Filmland" magazines in the 1960s. I did too, but was always on THIS side of the KISS stages!
I still have my ticket from the 1984 KISS concert in Chattanooga, TN.. It was GREAT. I went by myself. I saved to buy this $15.00 ticket.. LOL.. 3 lawns it took me to cut to make that money. Now we pay our lawn gun $50.00 per week. Geez. Those were the days..
I've been a fan since 1975. If it was truly for the fans... KISS wouldn't be charging $4000 for VIP and Meet & Greet packages AND we would be able to buy concerts we attended on blu-ray. Eric and Tommy are great, but without Peter and Ace... KISS just isn't the same. Kudos to Eric and Tommy for filling big shoes. Gene and Paul can kiss my ass! Have you noticed?... that the more that time passes, the more they blame Peter and Ace for EVERYTHING and take credit for EVERYTHING else.
You are wise. Gene and Paul's Dominance, Control and Arrogance have been palpable for decades literally. Obnoxious, excessive even though Stanley Thanks the fans if you listen to him in interviews he is grandiose and unrealistic concerning his talent and greatness. It is about the $$ without people paying $$ they are nothing. Also, the only reason I feel they mentioned Frehley and Criss over the years is for damage control with the public. Their self-centered inconsideration of Frehley and Criss was inexcusable out of Gene's mouth for years until the public began complaining. Frehley and Criss were exploited for the reunion tour forced to sign contracts. Gene will discover he will not be taking any $$ with him and he is 74 yrs old. Again, appreciate your comment just being Truthful. Best
The best part of the ppv were the after-show interviews. This stuff is golden in KISS fandom and it was clear Tommy Thayer wanted to say something...and he is deserving of it. Save for added pyro and the full lighting grid the concert itself was routine as it has been for the last 10 years. The end of Rock and Roll Al Nite with KISS disappearing into 'the mists of time' was magical, something I will not forget. The AI avatar announcement thereafter has already died on the operating table with real KISS fans worldwide. Now it's time to LET IT BE.
And to perform with a kidney stone and now wedged in the end of his schmeckel is insane. Most people call in sick with a desk job with the sniffles or paper cut.
While I somehow don’t deny that idea he had a kidney stone, I think it was more of a way to change the subject. He’s incapable of talking about his mother without crying and rightfully so. She loved him more than anything else in the world
@@ADuckOnQuack97absolutely. Any interview he is asked about his mother he gets emotions , on top of a 50 year career and a boy that couldn’t speak English when he came to America . He is truly living the America dream and he earned it
@@ADuckOnQuack97 He has had several problems with stones the past few years. Took me a few minutes to realize what he said, then I realized it could have been true. He was also sitting during his performance of God of Thunder
Watching the finale of RRAN at MSG when Gene gets onto the rotating truss, you can see him wincing in pain. I didn't know he was having to deal with kidney stones. Looks like this interview caught him at a very vulnerable moment. like he hadn't even taken his makeup off yet. maybe just literally walked off the stage. He was still full of adrenaline and sadness at the same time. A true mishmash of emotions. He was still trying to catch his breath. He seems a little punch drunk and disoriented.
If I could say one thing to Kiss is "thank you" for hanging in there so long because I was a fan back in the day who got laughed at for being a fan and now Kiss fans got the last laugh!!
Gracias Totales!!! (Search the meaning and feeling of that words in latinoamerica rock and how we bend together around in that expresión)...and again KISS....GRACIAS TOTALES!!
Tommy is great BUT how can you end this without the original lineup NO MATTER how much it costs ....Not like you dont have enough money already for the last 40 years...I mean Cmon
It's kinda weird listening to Gene. He's been famous so long that he really has a hard time communicating with normal folks without saying something off colored,,,,,,,and I really don't think he even realizes it. No pleasantries or basic courtesies to anyone he speaks with. I kinda feel sorry for him.
ToMarkfixitright: Because he is down inside not appreciate of the fans even though he claims he is. It is all about his unrealistic grandiose sense of himself. He us bigger than life so great.

No energy... from a couple of men the same age as my grandma. Easy for you to say, isn't it?
Love ya Gene. Tommy our hometown guy! KISS Army forever!
I love this. Thank you.
You are really so great Gene and you have such a big Heart ❤
Gene's persona, much like mine: To captivate or to horrify, ... humorously. And really, isn't that the norm for most entertainer's embellishments? His wit and commitment to family was always his poorest attempt to hide, and he relishes that fact. Genius.
Met him at a convention in Melbourne... Straight down the line & we had a good time... 😊
GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide.
LOVE YOU ALL...!!!....MUCH LOVE.!!
You just know that Gene Simmons read the "Famous Monsters of Filmland" magazines in the 1960s. I did too, but was always on THIS side of the KISS stages!
The Fans? Who you ask top dollar for a show to dress two other guys up as Peter and Ace
Thanks for this. I watched on PPV in UK and mine cut out during Genes interview so I missed it!
It would be really nice if someone didnt cut the aftershow interviews off.
I'm a real KISS fan, I'm excited for the AI stuff.
My favorite part about this is the breathwork
And to perform with a kidney stone and now wedged in the end of his schmeckel is insane. Most people call in sick with a desk job with the sniffles or paper cut.
🤣😂👍
🤠 Working at a restaurant is a respectable living, Gene. Still, KISS is fun.
Yeah, it sucks when people feel the need to celebrate their career success by belittling jobs other people do.
@@tomflorio3639Being a fry cook is fine if you’re 17, when you’re 45 not so much.
when did he mention about working at a Restaurant?
His way of saying they would be one of many instead of one of few. But I know what you mean he can be a bit abrasive
@@gordon9177about 32 seconds in.
I got emotional at their final tour in 2000!
But... I Seen KISS!
Ace n Peter....
And Peter absolutely sucked, I saw that to it was depressing
Kiss forever 🤟🎸🤟
Love ya Gene!! Your still our demon! 🤟😝🩸🎸🖤❤️
Even a demon can bow down to Jesus.
0:43 That's embarrassing - "Your mother who's here with you" - this job is not for you.
She meant metaphorically.
You are really a great man gene❤
Any time I think I might not achieve success I just tune into gene's tactics and sensibilities about life and persevere.
Thank you! Kiss❤️🤟
If I could say one thing to Kiss is "thank you" for hanging in there so long because I was a fan back in the day who got laughed at for being a fan and now Kiss fans got the last laugh!!
I remember him on that Mike Douglas show back in mid the 70's when one of his own made fun of his nose! lol classic sruff .
You are so great Gene
I wish you all the best for the Future Gene god is by your Side every day ❤
Gracias Totales!!! (Search the meaning and feeling of that words in latinoamerica rock and how we bend together around in that expresión)...and again KISS....GRACIAS TOTALES!!
Gene and Paul always like to say it's all about the fans but is it really?
It's about money 💰
It is. Any one says otherwise is a shmeckle
You are awesome Gene
I'm sending friends and family the link to this epic aftershow stuff and then it just ends. Wow.
beautifully said.Family ETC
the best is gone ...love you all..
Tommy is great BUT how can you end this without the original lineup NO MATTER how much it costs ....Not like you dont have enough money already for the last 40 years...I mean Cmon
I'm not crying, you are..
Gene and Paul both you are so a very symphatic men
❤i wish you all the best from my Heart gene
Do you have the other member’s videos??!
I love that man
Tommy?
A World Without Heroes...😢
It's kinda weird listening to Gene. He's been famous so long that he really has a hard time communicating with normal folks without saying something off colored,,,,,,,and I really don't think he even realizes it. No pleasantries or basic courtesies to anyone he speaks with. I kinda feel sorry for him.
ToMarkfixitright: Because he is down inside not appreciate of the fans even though he claims he is. It is all about his unrealistic grandiose sense of himself. He us bigger than life so great.
True, that does make sense.
Your great work
He is so a great man
WHere is the rest of the Tommy interview? The interview just cuts off
Thanks for breathing in our ears for 5 1/2 minutes
I love you Gene you'll always be my hero !! KISS forever !!
Thank You KISS!!!
