- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) is conducting a criminal investigation that resulted in the arrest of CMPD Officer Henry Chapman, after an arrestee reported that an officer had stolen property from him. The incident happened Thursday, March 14, shortly after 4pm in the University City Division. Upon investigation, CMPD detectives arrested Officer Chapman who was charged with one count of Embezzlement.
This wasn't Chapman first time stealing, I guarantee you that, this was his first time getting caught.
100% sure of that!!!! he has committed corruption a dozen times by now
Hard to argue with you. He’d claim his virginity though.
let it be known that asshole of a thief was a us navy veteran!!
Only his first time getting caught...
Ya they need to go to his house check bank accounts and all that shit
where is his interview hellooo???? we want see that crooks interview !!!!!
THAT is what I want to see. What I really want to know is how many times has he done this before?! Piece of 💩!
That's right! Show us FULL transparency.
I'm almost positive that I read "hellooo?" In your actual tone😂😂😂.
Think about it, why would any business, governmental agency or organization do that? A law suit is coming, the man who was arrested is the victim, victims can be seen telling their story before a trial, but not defendants, his interview or disposition has to be kept confidential to maintain impartiality and integrity for upcoming court proceedings. You will only get transparency when the case is disposed of.
If you paid attention, the video of the interview with the victim got cut short because they had to stop. Very likely an outside agency, State Police perhaps, would be doing the investigation and interviews, so you wouldn’t be seeing an interview of this chode from this department if they had to stop the interview with the victim because they were told to stop.
The damage this guy did to police credibility is unimaginable.
But credit where it’s due - dumping all the videos and immediately handling the situation was the right move.
Any other department would be moving mountains to hide this.
Description says "The incident happened Thursday, March 14" lmao
@@im_mcflynnnobody was hurt or worse, this was basically a property crime, in some podunk town in north carolina nobody ever heard of, and with the way cops are about internal investigations, 3 months is pretty quick for all this to be released. I think it’s very transparent and timely. Want me to really blow your mind- If it happened in California, the amount the cop stole wouldn’t even be arrestable…
You must've been hiding under a rock because the police's credibility is already in the dumpster. This is no shock that this clown was caught wrongdoing. Many more would be found to be corrupt if they thoroughly investigated their own properly.
The only credibility they're trying to retain is for their own selfish self-interests. All of this is copaganda.
@@im_mcflynn yeah the date is on the bodycam (top right).
This was DEFINITELY not his first time doing that cuz if he was brazen enough to do it with the suspect, other officers, and HIS superior, right there... He's done it before.
Female cop in on it.
Do they shake the hand of every thief or just when it's a cop ?
Disgusting !
Well for one its 'alleged' right? Innocent until proven and second its an interview.
@@Penny_Wolf c
Did you watch the video ?
He was literally caught red handed on body cam ?
He resigned before getting fired and admitted what he did so if that's your idea of innocence ok🤗
@@largemarge5974 crime is caught on camera all the time and there is still the nonsense of trials. he resigned before being fired to keep his pension and so he could not be ordered to answer questions.
@@Penny_Wolf yup
Plus, since he resigned, he can go the next town over and get hired and probably promoted.@@Penny_Wolf
When will the video with the full interview be available?
who knows what other dirty shit he's done. Possibly lied on police reports, planted drugs, etc. He should never be a police officer again or even a security guard at taco bell
Im glad they are showing transparency by showing these videos of the Department holding this officer accountable.
It's just copaganda so they can hope to retain a little bit of respect for themselves. Pure pageantry.
If they were really transparent, they would release the interview with Chapman. Why won’t they put that on here?
FULL TRANSPARENCY would be releasing his IA interview.
@@missyann7588 They will in time. Probably after he's been convicted.
I hope that man press charges to the FULLEST!!!!!
The police will charge the least possible, they don't want it on there record they had a criminal working there. Meanwhile the average citizen would get charges stacked in for everything possible. Theft, obstruction, tampering with evidence, bank fraud, tax evasion, etc
No handcuffs if you are a cop that is a suspect of stealing???????
Blue Line Brother. 😮
if not for the cameras none of this would have been donw they would have swept this right under the rug
Without the cameras there would be nothing to sweep. Stealing money from arrestees is no new thing. Look up video of cops stealing property from house they were searching under a warrant. Lady cop so dumb she had her body cam on and recorded herself and other LEO stealing watches, glasses and jewelry. You can clearly tell in that video that stealing items was common and accepted.
Ruined his career over $900. What a POS and a huge embarrassment to the entire CMPD. Kudos to leadership for not trying to cover it up, yet there's a lot of damage done to the credibility of the department and it will take a while for trust to be rebuilt.
not $900. Just this $900. I'm sure he has been taking money from drug dealers in exchange for favors for years. This is no "first time thing".
From cop to criminal
He was already a criminal, just hade a uniform to do it in.
@@johnkeith2450fr fr
I want to hear "The moment he knew he fu'p" 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah Chapman, take that walk of shame. Was it worth it???
They should have searched his house right away
Chapman was so eager to be the one who handled the money in the first place, telling th guy that it was important that he handled it so that no one would steal it. It's obvious that's his M.O. Definitely not his first rodeo.
Shame on this department. Praying for federal investigation and indictments.
Staying tuned until Moon counts fat racks to Cancun. Get rich off the CMPD Boss! I missed my chance with a suit when I was 19. My mental health kept me from following through.
Where is the video of champman interview
I left Charlotte in 2022, I occasionally visit. Sad to see this happening.
If this happened in California, the amount the cop stole from his prisoner would not even be arrestable…
ikr lol
Lol
Worst police department ever I hope that guy sues
This is the reason why this 🐖never turn on their cameras.
And the same reason they retaliate if you record them.
Why wasnt Chapman immediately placed in cuffs and put in a cell? Instead hes allowed to just hangout at his desk unsupervised. The second they found the money stuffed in the door he should have been cuffed and read his rights. Clearly he cant be trusted. Didnt thay female say something like its above her pay grade? Is it really not up to her to arrest someone literally stealing money right in front of her? As I said before it seems like if it were up to the female cop that money never would have been found and Chapman would have been long gone heading to the bank to make a cash deposit. Thankfully that man was so persistant and solved his own crime against him.
No cell they treated him like he did nothing wrong and he stole from someone he was transporting.
1000.00 what a POS 😂😂😂 I’m sorry he says 🤣
Crazy how they don’t show his interview and he’s just walking around uncuffed
That crook should've been in handcuffs for that walk of shame.
Body cams should be on and recording when transporting arrested people. This police department should install video cameras in their cars like many police departments around the country already have.
Hope this becomes a Netflix/48 Hours documentary. Should be taught in schools.
Now his fellow officers should be pissed at him because people like him are the reason why people don't trust the police.
Unmm what was the point to post this clip?
This lil piggy cried weee wee weeee all the way to jail 😂
No more piggy for him 😂
Why dont you charge also the cop who defaced the American flag you just walked past, that disgusting blue line doesnt belong on the American flag, its against the law to deface the flag how dare you do that.
WHERE DA INTERVIEW!!!!?
Hold the L Chapman…hold it up high😂
The Walk Of Shame! 😂😂
ANOTHER BITES THE DUST MADE HIM ACCOUNTABLE 🎯💯
These are the real police, you deserve all the credibility there is ❤
People need to see this
What a stupid thing to do. He threw everything away for 900 bucks. I feel bad for the moon guy having to apologize for outing a crooked cop
Embarrassing 😮😅
I dont think any of us could really know for sure either way. I am just speaking in general about the handshake.
He was left alone, apparently for hours, with access to computers or whatever preceding detectives (?) showing up, with no handcuffs? Were the goings on in that room recorded on video? Computer activity recorded and nothing was deleted? Let’s see the interview!
🔔 shame shame shame 🔔
This most definitely is not his first time. I’m sure there’s more of his kind on the force than we want to believe. They just stick up for one another too much. I’m behind law enforcement, but I’m tired of dirty ass cops thinking they’re above the law. He resigned. Are you kidding me? He should’ve been fired right then and there. What a joke.
Folks wake up we all can’t trust these gangs in uniform. When has policing in this country ever been good NEVER 👎🏽
Anyone else caught stealing would have been escorted in handcuffs. Laws for thee but not for me.
His killed tire courier and honor for $900 dollars
CMPD Cops trying to be like Denzel in Training Day ! These dudes rolling around robbing people smh
All these Cop Goons have forearm tattoos, red faces, wear shirts 2 sizes to small. Must have been kicked around as kids.
The walk of shame
Just one of them things huh Sticky fingers!
Walk of shame.
If he steals he can lie and cheat. Check his other arrest
Nice station
Why isn’t he in cuffs
Que bueno, que editen muchos vídeos para q este tipo sea apresado y acusado de ladrón, y ademas deben investigar en sus quince años de servicio que delitos cometería, y se abrirá muchos delitos!
Why did you dox this man and leave his girlfriend ans Mother's phone numbers in this video. You should be ashamed of yourself for how he's been treated from go. He had been nothing but polite, yet every officer in the sallyport, except for motorcycle officer yelled at him when he was trying to get you to look into his money being missing. Shame on all of them.
Henry Chapman shame on you 👎
Walk of shame
📌Wait! What? No cuffs?
😂😂😂😂
we the poeple
Noice

busted
CMPD is doing themselves good by being extremely transparent. This is FAR from the first time a Charlotte officer has conducted himself inappropriately though. However, I have had some decent dealings with them, even when I was in the wrong. They're definitely far from the worst.
Well at least you guys are being transparent that makes me trust cmpd a lot more
All over 900 dollars smh man this dude is ridiculous and really tried to hide the money lmaoooo
