After watching a lot of your other videos this makes me feel better, in that even a super skilled and knowledgeable pro like yourself can have this happen to them too.
Even your mistakes create a learning experience for all
Hi Louis, Nice work. I have been doing kitchens for 25 years and perhaps can offer up some helpful advice. I spray all my doors flat down on a turntable in my shop and as for the frames and boxes attached to the kitchen as you’re showing here, we use high-quality artist brushes and the low nap velour rollers with primers and paints thinned up to 40% for an even smooth flow and it honestly looks exactly like the doors after spraying .... spraying vertical will always cause a problem for you for as long as you choose to do it. In my professional opinion spraying frames and boxes on site is not necessary and can be done by hand with the proper technique to achieve a sprayed like finish. All my clients prefer the on-site work done by hand as they don’t want any spraying in their house anyhow. Hope it helps and perhaps you might give it a try sometime. Best of luck brother and keep painting . Your work looks fantastic, and you certainly have a hand for doing professional kitchens as I can see. Wishing you many more years of continued success.
Nice tips!
Those blocks are nice. Thanks!
Just did my large bathroom vanity doors and drawer fronts. I hung the doors on a rack and got some runs on them. But the drawer fronts were good as I did them laying down. I have the fugi 4 unit and thinned the primer to their specs with a 1.5 nozzle. But it looks like I could have sprayed the primer with no thinning. I could tell by the way it sprayed. Too running going on. I will try spraying the advance straight out of the can.
The best way is get water sandpaper comes out really nice and if you’re lucky you can Buff it up and you’re done
Can you tell me the process and products please? I have 1 run on the top corner of a cabinet box with hardened renner.
I Want To Know Also…
Great Video....I 'm curious to know how long you wait after your last application before you pull all the masking. Do you let paint dry a bit then pull or do you immediately pull it off
after the last application?
Occasionally a sag will happen to me because either the gun or the hose gets caught on something. This is the same technique that will work to remove drops from a spitting airless as well.
Can you share the product info on that pen light you were using? Great video!
May I ask hows the sheen on the Renner 851? I have a customer who wants their cabinets refinished but not semi gloss and I'm afraid been a urethane s
SATIN might have a pretty high sheen?
Will this work on satin paint that I rolled on? Two drips on my bedroom wall!
How many coats of 851 to hide the 180 grit scratches?
What Dura Block are you using?
What brand portable LED light were you using? Looks like a good one for low raking lighting?
Its Braun from Harbor Freight
Is there anything you can do when you see the paint run when it’s nice and wet to fix it?
No you’ll make it worse.
@@battlemasterszone1750 😆 I know… man those cabinets were a bitch 6 months ago, but I did sell the house!
It seems to help if you notice it wet to lightly smooth out the ridges with your finger. You still have to sand it out and redo it, it just makes the sanding easier.
wet sand Master.
