  • Over 20 years ago all of my idols came to my skatepark on a BMX tour and I got to meet my hero the legendary BMX rider, Dave Mirra! I found the video and decided to do a reaction video with you all to explain just how amazing the day real was for me. I call this day the best moment of my BMX life as a fan which was only two short years before I competed professionally against Dave Mirra!

I love getting scottys take on these old memory lane videos. 2001 I was in my last 3 golden years on a bmx bike where I was at my best before I left to pursue snowboarding Full time, which lasted until 2010 for me. I know what he meant by riding with your Idols and how they have a presence on a bike. I got invited to Ride at Randy Stumpfhauser's house a few times and even met Todd Lyons there. Years later snowboarding in Tahoe I'd get that same feeling with a few more Idols. Even crash their couches and ride with a few more guys I Idolized from video parts Andy Finch Chaz Guldemond . Nick visconti and I lived with a female pro that rode for rome snowboards Iris Lazzareschi whos little brother was Johnny Lazz frome Rome. They both still kill it on a snowboard

There was actually a section of street riding, where they turned up at this spot and built some make shift stuff out of pallets that were laying about, I think that might have subconsciously that inspired you with riding random stuff and the making the most out of what you have available videos.
Definitely the golden age of BMX and I am so glad that I was part of the scene at the time. ;-)

I went to woodward several times for skateboarding and did attempt a foam pit back flip a few times for laughs or just to see if I could do it but I would of really have loved to have met Dave atleast once just to let him know how influential he was that a dead set only skateboarding skateboarder would pick up a bike just to mess around and try to recreate some tricks from his video game, hopefully, that would of made him laugh or have given him some entertainment

I Fufanued the Railing on top of the sub box 3 times along with Chris Larson and of course Scotty did it a number of times. Biggest Fuf I ever did was at Roots 2003 I fufed the Wallride it was epic and the pinnacle of my riding. I'll never forget all the amazing times with all the amazing people I met at the Incline Club. Best Skatepark EVER! And that first setup they had was by far my favorite. The wallride in the street course was absolutely perfect 👌

I remember I was 13 when this tour came out on tv..I remember the slim Jim factory, macho man, while what a great memory.. and i also remember I had a nirve bike which I had never heard of but got it for my birthday bc it had pegs. I remember becoming a huge fan of Stephen Murray bc he rode for nirve at the time. Such good years man, I LOVE video.

You know you are Big Time when you are in the same room as The Macho Man and people are going crazy for you, not the Madness. RIP Dave & Macho Man.

Wish I was able to see the incline club before it was taken apart. Never been there but I feel like it’s a part of me. Seen it in so many videos over the years and gave me a strange connection to it.
