Is that you Ruth? I'm Red from Ireland (but now live in Rio de Janeiro) Gordon Beck's friend, who once turned up in The Bakery (2003) when Jacky Terrasson's Trio was playing: You were so damned kind to me and I still listen to your album with the genius Johnny Smith himself: You SOUND GLORIOUS of course (nothing less).
Um beijo direto do Rio de Janeiro - and thank you for this more than especial apresantation of the legendary Hubert Laws - my idol ) I play flute but come from a good family!) and the great John Leftwich is my friend (I've been his fan since he came to an Irish festival with Carmen).

The performance takes place at Hubert's home. The grand piano is one Hubert bought for his mother. Joe Sample chose it. I interviewed Hubert for the National Flute Association fall 2001, quarterly publication, at that venue.

I don't have any ideas about that B foot silver flute he tried to play on Spain but he did not.

You create such a dilemma for me. You make me want to practice my flute more and more just so I can perhaps get to be an absolutely tiny bit better than I am but never anywhere a fraction of how astonishingly good you are - and on the other hand there are days when I just think I should put the flute away and just invest my music time listening to you and your wonderful music!!!

    • @timwilson7873
