Cheapest vs Most Expensive Oral-B Electric Toothbrush | Which Electric Toothbrush Should I Buy?

Your iO toothbrush is likely either a series 8 or 9. That's the price range for those higher end models and the have a color display also.
I recently purchased the series 6. It has a black and white display and the charger is the same as your cheaper one instead of the shallow indent.
The one thing I really don't like about the iO design is the post that the brush head clicks onto. Instead of a single metal bar it has that thick magnetic post inside a plastic sleeve. It can be rinsed, but it's impossible to clean in-between the post and the sleeve.
