- Have you ever wanted a Zoids New Century Season 2? Or just wondered what Class S would've been like after New Century ended? Well in this video I go over my thoughts and theories of how Class S might have operated in the Zoids universe.

I would totally support a revitalization of this series! I would just hope that they would bring the OG cast from the Oceans Canada group.
SJ Productions, Composer 100% they would need the original cast for it, it would feel weird with new voice actors but hey if they did renew it I’d still take it with new voice actors if need be hahaha
They would also have to bring back the same music composer as this series had the best soundtrack in the Zoids franchise

I know this video is 3 years old but thank you so much. New Century is my fav Zoids anime and Class S to me was always positioned to me like winning the World Cup.
For the potential future of the Blitz Team, I imagine they just continued to grow with amazing Zoid battles. Plus I think the other characters reached Class S too, because to me Class S is more of a goal standard rather than just a division.
I'm of the belief the journey to class S was the real story of the series, cause it all comes back to Bit's dream about finding a partner, in some ways that's what all the story was about. Teamwork and Pushing yourself beyond your limits.
It's safe to say no matter what Bit and Liger Zero will forever be bonded together.
(But yer I would throw money at everyone to give me a sequel to New Century even if I love how it's perfectly ended)
I rewatched this series while in quarantine. It was even better that I remembered as a kid. I also wondered what class S was like. Great video!

Considering that none of the B and A rank teams ever seemed to have sponsors, I always got the vibe that the B and A rank leagues were like the minors with the S rank league being the majors with all the corporate sponsors. With all the money those corporate sponsors entail means the S rank teams must be packed with only the state of the art equipment.
Actually with the Tigers Team vs Harry’s team, they were right outside the jurisdiction of that particular judge. He was telling them that if they wanted to battle, they’d need to move closer. And neither of them did so the judge was complaining that they just fucked off
Ever since Zoids New Century Zero finished it's 1st season all those years ago, I've always had dreams of The Blitz Team going on their Class S Adventures.
Sometimes they would chill in some bars that were on the show chilling, other times they were fighting some unknown Teams from Class S, other times The Blitz Team are seen testing their Zoids out, and other times they would get hunted by some of the remaining Back Draft Group.
Again that was only some dreams I've had over the years, who knows what Zoids Class S could've been?
It’s a shame we never got a season 2 of New Century.
We can constantly ponder what could of been, and it’s great that the series was left open ended enough for us to speculate on Class S, but it really is a shame we never got too, and likely never will see it.
If I ever had the time, money, and skills to produce a fan made anime, I think a season 2 of Zoids New Century would be the top thing on my list. If not that, a series between Chaotic Century and New Century.
They should make a remake of chaotic century or new century just like what they did to Initial D and Neon Genesis. And if they do hopefully they continue on to the class S story arc.
I don't think those series need a remake. Just sequels
I hope Chaotic becomes more similar to Battle Story and its manga version.
So glad I found this channel. Zoids NCZ to this day is my favorite anime. I've watched it at least 9x and it never gets old to me. Especially the final fight. Chills everytime Bit and liger come flying out of the dust cloud.

I’ll definitely be doing many more Zoids videos and will probably continue to venture out to other things as well as I’ve already started to do a bit. But Zoids is my absolute favourite and I don’t think I’d ever run out of video ideas for it.

Something I've often wondered about, in your opinion, who would win? Van/Zeke/ and the blade liger or Bit and liger zero schneider?

I honestly think Van and the liger would win even without Zeke. By the end of Guardian Force you could almost say Van has outgrown Zeke, he severely messed up the Death Stinger without Zeke which is a huge feat in itself. Van and his blade liger really just have much much more experience and were also in a war which pushed them further again, in general the duo of just Van and the Blade liger is much stronger than Bit and the Liger Zero even with the Schneider armour. Zero might be able to one up the duo here and there because of its black box and constant learning but I just don’t think it’d be able to beat Van and the Ligers battle experience.
Fun fact for ya though If you didn’t know already Van actually pilots a Liger Zero in the Chaotic Century Manga.

100% agree with everything you said. Was just curious as to your thoughts on that hypothetical question. Would certainly be fun to watch though, as I believe both would have nothing but respect for the other.
And yessir, I did know that. I've read a lot about the Zoids universe a lot in the past(summaries, spoilers, wiki articles, etc.). Unfortunately haven't gotten around to reading the manga, even though i really should.
In the case of Harry and the Tiger's team, both teams backed up so there probably wouldn't be a penalty. On top of that they weren't in the designated battle area and the judge said they had to move into it in order to fight. Neither was interested, so no battle.
I imagine that the Blitz Team in class S was something planned for another season, but due to Zoids: New Century's low ratings in Japan it never materialized. In fact the end of the season feels somewhat rushed given how the Backdraft Group is defeated without the Blitz Team lifting a finger. It's like the writers knew there wouldn't be a second season so the Backdraft Group had to be defeated right there.
If the show's ratings were good enough for another season, I imagine what would have happened was that along with the Blitz Team being in Class S, there would be a conflict between the Zoid Battle Commission and the Backdraft Group for control. We'd get more elaboration on the Backdraft Group, with many of its members making their fortune through completely illegal means, and with the pushing for control over Zoid battles they are getting money for more criminal activities. Hence the need to stop them, it's not just about Zoid battles, innocent lives across the globe will be at stake.
Something extra I would want to do is show off battle with the Backdraft Group's disregard for rules and the safety of competitors without anybody have character shields, so it ends in someone dead. And the rich assholes who bet on battles in the Backdraft Group cheering at the sight of a pilot being murdered. A horrific scene that shows just how horrible these people are.
Despite losing the Royal Cup, Sarah, Vega's handler, would use her influence to force him into Class S, which he agrees to so he can fight the Blitz Team. Ironically the conflict actually helps him become closer friends with the Blitz Team. Many of the teams in Class S are elitist who are curious about the Blitz Team, but are NOT welcoming to Vega since he didn't earn his way in, not to mention his ties to the Backdraft Group. Oh yeah, and in his match with the Blitz Team he attempted murder, of which Bit letting him off can explained as him accepting Vega was a kid and didn't know any better. The two should be enemies, but Bit ironically becomes Vega's closest friend.
Also give Vega some backstory, like I don't know maybe he's an artificial human designed to be the perfect pilot. We need something to explain why he doesn't have any apparent family and how he became the top pilot in a planet wide mafia.
The teams in Class S have the skill and the firepower to potentially tip the conflict being the Backdraft and the Commission, and to the horror of the Blitz Team, not all of them as moral as they expected. Some of them are honorable warriors, but others are elitists who only care about money and status, thus they are tempted by the Backdraft's offers.
So the end result sounds like it would be a better version of Fuzors. Some Zoid battles, along with a conflict that hearkens back to the war type plots of Chaotic Century.
Yea I don't mind fleshing the series out more but I think you're going a little too deep and dark with it. 😅 No need to over-complicate the show. Part of the charm for this series is in it's simplicity.
@@blueblur2329 I wasn't planning on making any darker than Chaotic Century or Guardian Force (which did have on screen deaths). I just wanted more of an overarching story that didn't involve fighting the same characters over and over.
And I really want something flesh out Vega since as he is he's just a character who was thrown in in the last few episodes to act as the final boss and had nothing else to him. He's kinda like a non-serial anime movie villain in that sense, he just exists to act as antagonist and nobody had other use for him.
Besides, look at how getting more serious worked so well for Chaotic Century. Or for another franchise, One Punch Man.
@@dragonstormx Getting more serious and adding more depth to a character can definitely improve a series but it can also hurt it as well. Depends on how it's executed. Let's take Darth Maul from Star Wars. In episode 1, Maul was a bad-ass and the little we knew about him the more dangerous, mysterious and intriguing he was. However once they started giving him a backstory and fleshing him out they made him worse and he wasn't nearly as intimidating and bad-ass as he was before. So knowing a character's backstory doesn't always make the character a better villain. Joker and Frieza are great examples of that. Vega to me is a strong enough character to where that didn't matter. Even though he was introduced in a few episodes at the end he still made a lasting impression.
Don't get me wrong I'm all down for getting serious but not to the point where it becomes a drama. That to me just becomes way too far a departure from what made fans like the series in the 1st place. Like DBZ, it's an action show and shouldn't be a show that too mushy or emotional.
@@blueblur2329 Well I actually I preferred Darth Maul after he got fleshed out since he was made into a real character rather than just an obstacle for the heroes. And given by the reception to episodes focused on him I'd say the majority of fans agreed.
Also the DBZ parallel isn't the best since DB as a franchise has a history of adding emotional scenes as well as action an comedy. You are talking about the series that killed its main character, twice, and gave an unexpected redemption to Vegeta and Mr. Satan.
@@dragonstormx Well 1st off I'm talking about DBZ the anime not DB or DBS. Deaths in DBZ aren't as heavy like they are in other shows because you can always bring people back. Plus the fast pace nature of the show doesn't really leave much time for the viewer or the characters to reflect and grieve upon a death. And like I said before, Frieza isn't a fleshed out villain at all but is iconic because of his character and how bad-ass he is.
As for Darth Maul, the more they fleshed his character out the more cheesier he got. They all of a sudden tried to paint him as some master strategist and the strategies he was coming up with wasn't even that good. And by real character you mean a character with flaws or relatable, well the scariest villains are the ones you can't relate to or understand. That's part of what makes a villain so great. That's also why most people think General Grievous best version is the 03 Clone Wars show as opposed to anywhere else. That's also why Joker is one of Batman's most popular enemies.
My best guess was always that Class S was one in which the team gets discounts and accommodations as well as making a set wage as long as the team remains active in the sport. That would be something to strive for as the end goal that it is. Another theory I had was that since the NCZ season takes place on a single continent that maybe Class S would also include international leagues and tornaments.
piBoy Gaming the second theory you’ve got there sounds more plausible, if it was something as simple (although fantastic) as discounts, set wages and luxuries we probably would’ve seen some Class S teams within New Century at some point, so considering we didn’t my best assumption would be that it’s some sort of exclusive league set aside on its own, potentially internationally.
@@Viseak agreed and i believe to some extent its a combination of the two as the country would probably want to support any team representing them to some degree
I always figured if there was a class S, it would be a league of its own and it would be loaded with never seen before rare zoids, imagine futuristic zoids like the diablo tiger, or even take it a whole step above and imagine zoids based on mythological creatures, like chimeras, hydras, jackalopes, wyverns, cerberuses and the like (zoids we've never really seen before). Takara Tomy really needs to consider doing something like that if they continue producing the zoids series and toys. Really, Chaotic Century, Genesis, Zoids Wild and Zoids Wild zero have all been about wars for freedom and the like, only fuzors kinda continued with the whole zoids as a sport thing, but fuzors wasn't well made unfortunately. They need another tournament or battle royale series with Class S and an elite league in there, that would break the cliché cycle of a war based story and really would put zoids back on the target for tv airing and product consuming in america and europe. And btw nice video, I really enjoyed it.

I agree on all of your points there, I reckon there definitely would’ve had to been some higher end Zoids and probably some regular Zoids we’ve seen before with just much better pilots (eg think the silver and gold saber fangs from Chaotic Century, they’re still just saber fangs but the pilots are much more capable and experienced).
And yeah I like an anime war story as much as the next guy, but it’s definitely been over done in the Zoids franchise and I think a casual battle royal style series would be quite well received and great for younger audiences and western tv as it could probably be episodic and you can usually pick up shows like that at any point.
My Zoids New Century Zero continuation Fan-Manga concept focusing on S-Class would've contained all new never before seen Zoids piloted by new teams.
And a new secondary lead protagonist team called The Lionheart Team that would serve as the main friendly rivals to the Blitz Team and the owner/head scientist of the Lionheart Team would be Doctor Maria Adams who would be revealed to be a old college roommate/friend of Dr. Taurus and is a renowned Zoids research in her own right as well as the team mom as she's more mature and sensible then Dr. Taurus, with the pilots and friendly rival counterparts being Clara/Claire who pilots the Guntiger and this friendly rival counterpart to Leena has a split personality with Clara being sweet, shy, and meek and Claire being like Leena when she's mad/ticked off only more psychotic, Dylan who pilots the Command Wolf Irvine and like Brad Dylan is a mercenary who is still with the team because they're doing well and will occasionally bust Claire, and Cody's chops speaking of Cody he's the Lionheart Team's friendly rival counterpart to Bit and is somewhat similar in personality to Bit including viewing his Zoid the Sabrelion as his sister, and Sabrelion like Liger Zero is a Ultimate X with a Organoid System meaning Cody is the only one she'll let pilot her and will occasionally act like a proud lioness which Cody respects hence the reason why he doesn't put any long-range weaponry on Sabrelion as he respects her request to remain what she is a fast, high-speed Lion/Liger type Zoid who specializes in close-combat with her high-frequency fangs, high-frequency claws, and high-frequency blades, and The Lionheart Team's friendly rival counterpart to Jamie is named Kyle and he also pilots a Ryhos.
And right away one of the perks for being in S-Class will be revealed to be that each team gets a fully "sentient" human-shaped android to serve as the owner's assistant and the team's primary mechanic.
Agreed tbh i liked fuzors regardless o its flas and lest face it It and new century stand out now as someone who likes gundam just as much im used to war and it can be fun but look how populare the build series are i agree more sport based like fuzors and new century would Deffiantly want people clamoring for more and could help make zoids as populare as gundams again
Hey, just wanted to say: first off, loving the Zoids videos! There’s a criminal lack of good Zoids content on YT, and so anything is welcome, especially stuff of the Calibre that you’re putting out. Good on ya.
As for Japan: I’ve been a couple of times, so I have a couple of recommendations. I assume you’re already planning to check out the big nerd spots, Akihabara, etc, so I’ll skip those. I’d definitely check out Himeji-Do, the White Crane castle outside Kyoto. And my favourite spot in the country is a mountain Onsen resort town called Hakone. Beautiful, serene, surrounded by nature, views of Mt. Fuji...it’s heaven on Earth.
If you’re in Kyoto I’d also check out Nanzenji temple; it’s the one that was featured in Lost in Translation with the stepping stones. Nara also has a great temple and a lot of very friendly deer.
Oh, also: in regards to your query at the end of the Liger video - yes, please! I’d love to see a vid about all of the “Saurer”/raptor/tyrannosaur type Zoids. Basically everything with a CPC, haha. Thanks heaps for the sub and recommendations! I’m in Tokyo currently and picked up a couple kits in Akihabara (one of which was a 2013 Limited Holotech Blade liger for real cheap, still can’t believe I found it).
Been to Osaka, Kyoto and I did hit up Hakone to do a tour where I rented an R32 GTR, saw Fuji and all it really is a great place to go!
I’ll definitely have to check out those temples you recommended in Kyoto, probably gonna go back for a day as it was my favourite city if I’m honest (as cool as Tokyo is).
I’ll definitely be making some more Zoids videos when I get back, probably a ‘Saurer’ type one although a title for that may be hard, ‘Tyrannosaur’ might be a better way to go. I’ll also eventually delve into other anime and manga as I’ve already started to do, hopefully at some point I can expand my audience enough to bring a bunch of new people into Zoids and who knows maybe someday it’ll become more popular again haha.

Yeah Godzilla itself the R32 GTR, it was a dream come true honestly, if you find yourself going to Japan again definitely check out Fun2Drive, they’re the ones I did the tour with and they have a bunch of cars like replicas from initial D all the GTRs, Evo’s, STi’s, NSX’s if you want it I’m sure they’ve got it, it’s quite expensive but honestly well worth it, for reference I did the Holy Mt Fuji Drive which is a 4hr tour and yes I’m definitely a petrolhead haha
Haven’t been taking much video unfortunately but plenty of photos, maybe I can end up still making a video on it though cause there’s heaps to talk about.
I’m from Australia and it’s extremely hard to find anyone who even knows what Zoids are here either, I only know of 1 store that occasionally gets them imported in but it’s right in the city and I rarely go, Japan is wild in comparison there are Zoids everywhere but mainly the new releases, still can’t believe I found the holotech and am currently trying to figure out how I can take more kits home with me, might need to bring home a second suitcase.
Zoids isn't my all time favorite anime franchise, though I've always found it immensely enjoyable, and regularly come back to it. I've always wanted a continuation of New Century Zero, ever since I watched reruns of the dub back when I was 12. That particular series has always been my favorite entry in the franchise, and I always thought that there was more that could have been done with it, though I have to say, I would definitely be intrigued by the idea you put forth regarding a series set in between Guardian Force and New Century Zero. Hell I'm 33 and I still want the show to make a comeback, even though I know it's just a pipe dream at this point, but hey, nothing wrong with wishing for it, right? Regarding the various Zoids series, New Century Zero is my favorite, as I stated, and Chaotic Century is tied with Guardian Force for second place. I'm admittedly not really a fan of Fuzors, and I confess I haven't watched anything beyond that point.

I personally have a different head cannon for class s not really existing, but is actually a recruitment tool for the current iteration of the guardian force. That would explain why we’ve never seen or heard about any other class s teams, where they’re effectively only around to prevent a group like the backdraft group from finding the death saurer/stinger and/or zoid eve.

There would be the typical battles between those teams in class S, but that would be more like training for actual combat where there are no rules.
Honestly, I would shit bricks just to be a part of a fan project to create a Class S season.
One concept I had in mind for a fan-manga was a continuation of Zoids New Century Zero focusing on Class S.
it's also possible that there are regional royal cups in diffrent countries nd what we see in new century is just the "republic royal cup"
Yeah there’s a good chance what we saw in new century was only regional or national and not a world wide event.
There was so much more of the world of planet Zi to explore and a season 2 really could have fleshed it out, but alas were more than likely never going to get it.
So I'm just rewatching this, it sounds like you do get to class s by winning the cup, but the way they said it was you automatically get to class s as if there are other ways to get to class s besides the cup. Same with the lottery, sounded like Harry wasn't the only one to get in it by that method.
Yeah I remember there being a line from one of the reporters about winning ‘automatically’ getting a team into class S, kind of insinuating there are other ways to do it.
That could just be a mistranslation from the Dub though as I don’t think the Royal cup would be as big of a deal if there were other routes into getting to class S, with characters even saying they’ll need to try again next year and such.
I think it would just feel more prestigious too if only one person could be accepted in per year, really narrows down the pool of teams in it to being the best of the best.

You did miss something, in thr games it was stated that you had to be class s to be allowed into certain areas (ruins and other tougher areas) because wild zoids are stronger
Honestly I’d give anything for there to be a revitalization/continuation of new century zero so we as the fans can find out what being in class s actually entails and honestly I’d love it for there to be a fleshing out of the relationship between the blitz team and Vega

I feel like the set up to "Class S" forced itself to leave it vague. In the rematch between Jack and Bit, they did those speed trials at the track. It shows on the scoreboard that other people beat both Bit AND Jack because they were legendary warriors of the past. We don't get to see what Zoids they were using because realistically, no land based Zoid would be faster than the Lightning Saix so they had to keep it vague. Same thing applies to Class S. They set up Liger Zero and the Fury as these legendary Ultimate X Zoids and that anything lesser, wouldn't be able to beat them. Seeing Class S ranked teams of old would ruin that Ultimate X buildup. You can't have some "legendary" team of Command Wolves or Saber Fangs all of a sudden be stronger than the Berserk Fury just because the pilots made it into Class S in the past.
Sadly, these kinds of things had to be vague...
Yeah story wise it does make sense why it had to be kept vague, the story was quite simplistic after all.
However what’s interesting is that there were actually plans for what seemed to be a season 2 of New Century. Some art got leaked of the Liger Zero in some sort of CAS that let it go underwater, so perhaps class S even set up more varied battle fields to keep things fresh, but I guess it’s one of those things we’ll never know

always wanted them to make a zoids game that functioned like NCZ. with a royal cup, and a class S campaign to battle through.
xpott91 that would’ve honestly been great, having the hover cargo as your hub and working your way up in the ranks, or even creating your own team.
Who knows maybe some indie developers will make something on an idea like that some day, but I highly doubt it haha.
There's a mode in the Zoids games for gamecube where you go through a heap of matches and you can choose a partner and earn money to buy better zoids and customize them with parts and weapons.Then if you win the whole series your zoid does a cool run along side the broken down Ultrasaurus during the ending credits. Also Zoids Saga 2/ Legacy has you going around different towns and competing in arena battles with set rules, while you can free roam and fight wild zoids for cash and parts. It's got a pretty in depth customization and you can build your team with whoever you want. The arena battles are just part of the game though, with there being a bigger story overall. Damn it, I wanna go play it now XD
I actually think Bit talks about class S toward the end of Zoids Saga 2. I'm going to play it through again and I'll let you know.

I think Class S is probably a rank where you get a "Pension" of sorts and you only do exhibition matches with other class S people.
That’s a pretty decent theory, but then again people seemed to get so excited to get to class S to face much bigger challenges, not basically retire.
But who knows, I guess retiring could be exciting for some people

Big Joe same hey, it’s like they ended it with the potential of a second season (and some kits were leaked and never produced like a new CAS for the liger zero that goes underwater show that it was considered) but by the looks of things it never ended up going ahead and for whatever reason, we ended up with Fuzors instead.
@@Viseak Zoids New Century is my all time favorite anime and my childhood. I love the whole gladiatorial tournament aspect of it, very similar to Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh but mechanized and you face a new and different challenging opponent every episode. I love it so much that Zoids New Century was the main reason I am a professional 3D artist. There has been many times I've contemplated continuing the show on my own as a fan service, I love this show so much. Man if it was't for licensing issues, I could start an art team right away no problem to continue the story. Nonetheless, I am thankful for this show and all the great memories and inspirations it gave me growing up. Keep making more vids on Zoids man, looking forward to them. You get a sub from me 💯
Big Joe cheers man! New Century really was in my opinion one of the best episodic “villain of the week” kind of shows that still had enough of an overarching plot to keep things interesting with the backdraft group.
Although I prefer Chaotic Century, I can say I’ve rewatched New Century many more times (mainly because it’s shorter haha) and still consider it one of my favourite anime of all time even by today’s standards.
It’s awesome that it even inspired you to become a 3D artist, and it is a shame about the licensing issues, I’d love to see someone just as passionate about the series as I am revive the New Century time line.
But hey at least Wild Zero is pretty great so far, but as much as I’m enjoying it, Chaotic / New Century just hit different.

though how the backdraft group got their hands on the Death Stinger technology and have it in perfect working order does raise more questions than answers and yes how organoids evolved into the black box concept within only just a century after it's predecessor had them as living mechanical creatures does seem a bit odd as that was never truly explained. Or that in the previous series was there any evidence discovered of zoids containing these said "black boxes" in any of those archeological digs that were conducted by the military factions and by the guardian forces, only to magically appear 100 years later.
Imagine there's also a new ultimate X that's unknown because they are in class S
I believe this goes to show how Zoids directors/ teams themselves don't understand this franchise. New Century Season 2 would have been the most promising thing for them to do instead of taking the fanbase and flipping it on it's head for something "new" and "edgy" and "not Zoids". There's a lot of that going around these days, taking the nostalgia and core for a thing's success and then throwing it out the window under the guise of "revolutionary".
The story is simple. One Punch Man's story is simple, but it was reinforced with good characters, and a goal that made sense.
New Century S2 would have been a fantastic idea, technology would only keep increasing resulting in new Zoids and or more comprehensive rulings etc. I mean the only issue I had with New Century was that it seemed hollow in terms of world building but considering these are sanctioned war zones, I totally gave it a pass. Your theory and ranking system would have been really cool. Animation technology and finding creative ways for battle would have only been a success. Being in a world where ancient unknown powers reside can also be a significant plot twist, etc. Why they didn't do this is beyond me.
TR13DGE 716 a season two of New Century really could’ve rebooted the series a lot better than wild tried to in my opinion as well.
Especially considering how episodic New Century is as a series it’s really easy to watch for anybody, and the cast is a bit older which is always good, I never understood why so many shows go for much younger characters these days when they never use to? For example bakugans reboot and Yugioh 7’s? Both of those series did well in their peak and sold plenty of merchandise to kids who looked up to the slightly older cast, but hey I’m not some executive so what do I know I guess haha.
I also think it would’ve been cool in a second season to link new century a bit more to chaotic century, even though it’s really headcannon to say the organoids from cc became the black box/organoid systems in New Century and while I don’t believe that personally, it would’ve been cool to see more Zoids with black boxes in them and connect them further to the old organoids like specula and ambient and actually make a solid link to prove that they are connected. It could definitely work as in the manga raven pilots a Berzerk fury and Van a liger zero so you can kinda see where the theories come from.
But alas, although it’s a shame it’ll probably never happen. But hey I guess we can only hope right?

I just assume class S is a personal skill rank, like the few pilots who ganed it can now go find better employment opportunities in the world as class S pilots.
From the animes perspective it sounded like it’s a whole new tear a second-tier like the minor leagues in baseball and in the majors.
Id take a manga season 2 at the very least. I just finished NCZ and it really feels like the story got cut just as things were about to get real.
Idk man. I actually really liked new century zero. I liked the new Zoids and the fast paced combat. It was just too short. I wished they had a season 2 where they explored S class.
maybe from the get go they should’ve went deeper and darker on the backdraft group story. Because other than war, all that cloak and dagger stuff is a good Avenue for more adult themes. Maybe an espionage heavy arc talking about the relationship between the battle commission and the organization. IMO if the series was longer they could still have all the battle royals but only have it as a backdrop or world building tool. The blitz team was backed up by the commission in order to fight backdraft near the end of the series. Would’ve been an interesting story to explore. Kinda like an homage to the older guardian force a few centuries ago. There’s a lot of modern anime now that explored really deep philosophical questions but are still kid friendly avoiding the pretentiousness of genesis. It simply had too much untapped potential. It only had 26 episodes Chaotic century had 67 and Genesis had 50. All the criticisms against it are justified but it never really got the chance to shed those.
Dude I feel the same, Zoids new Century is what got me in to Anime and i always come back to it. Searching Google for More and Hoping ill they are making new season or series in general. I would take a book series. like how Pre Disney star wars kept the Story alive. tell some F-ing Mouse pimped it out for some quick cash.

I was expecting this to be an outline of a possible arc in S Class, not compiling the little information me know.
I thought it was a really good anime as well.
I liked the concept of the Zoids battles and the ranks.
S would definitely be elite, might see stronger zoids in it, some of the stronger ones in Zoids legacy without the super uber ones like all the genos ect.
Alternatively class s could be instead of a league could just be a status which gives you higher base pay and accommodations. I ask cause within the context I can't see anything stronger than Berserk

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Giants zoid like the Deathsaurer, Seismosaurus or ultrasaurus as a team's secret weapon, Im surer we'd see Genosaurers more often or a Genobreaker or 2 and its kinda cheating since they came after new century zero but im sure see Fuzor models or zoids from genesis or the new wild series., I mean come on We ALL want to see Liger zero take on the Young blood in the liger pool such as Murasame Liger or Wild liger!

I mean saying there are millions of zoids is a stretch...They are at the end of the day military weapons...I would suggest there are maybe thousands of them...Kind of like jet fighters they cant be cheep to make probably millions if not billion of what ever there currency is.

If NCZ followed the Battle Story at all, the Zoids that we commonly see are actually artificial frames built over Zoid Cores harvested from Wild Zoids. Only some examples, such as Liger Zero and Berserk Fuhrer are actually built over the bodies of the Wild Zoids.
The wild Zoids that we see in the TV shows are likely stray Zoids: sleeper Zoids that remained unrecovered, Zoids that went missing and whose pilots died during the war or runaways negligent owners. Some prospective pilots likely get their first Zoids hunting down stray Zoids with the help of friends who already have Zoids, or find a willing partner like Leon. This is the only way to get a free Zoid, but it is also likely the riskiest, seeing as how they are able to defend themselves, with some parties going into the wild, never to return...
Due to the popularity of Zoids, and to try to avoid too many Darwin Award situations, the governments and corporations likely offer generous loans and subsidies to prospective pilots. At first, this was likely done with surplus supplies left over from the war, but eventually moved on to offering brand new Zoids. These would likely be the smallest Zoids, such as Godos, Cannon Tortoise, Molga, Rev Raptor, Gun Sniper, etc. As pilots work themselves up through the ranks, some likely choose to use their prize money to buy loans for better Zoids, and return or sell off their older Zoids. Others might choose to customize Zoids that already work well-enough for them. Rev Raptor, Gun Sniper, Black Rhimos, Spino Sapper, Brachios, and Command Wolf likely make great custom projects, with the latter four being medium sized, and thus able to carry a great variety of equipment. And even with demand from engineering companies, there were likely quite a few Spino Sappers left over from the war waiting for creative pilots. They'd probably make formidable foes with a pair of Buster Claws, downsized to better fit Spino Sapper's frame for example.
Larger Zoids such as Dibison, Shield Liger, Saber Tiger, Red/Dark Horn, Gordos, Gojulas, and Iron Kong were likely the most expensive options on average, but also gave pilots the best chance on average of winning the number of battles necessary to maintain A-rank, let alone get into S-rank. These would be the Zoids that would definitely number no more than the thousands, the ones that kids build model kits of, and want to pilot when they grow up. They are also the biggest, and hardest to pilot, as we see with the Fuzzy Pandas. Even rich kid Harry and his heavily customized cadre of Zoids were constantly stuck in the lower ranks because these teams were unable to come close to bringing out the full potential of their Zoids.
Speaking of heavily customized, as they won more prize money, expert pilots in the A and S-ranks would likely customize their Zoids to better match their preferences, and better cover their weaknesses. You might see pilots upgrade their Shield Ligers into Blade Liger for example, or customize their Zoids with trump cards, similar to what you see in Genesis. Command Wolves, Shield Ligers, Saber Tigers, and Bear Fighters with additional long-ranged weaponry and laser blades would likely not be unheard of, ensuring that they are as good in close combat as making sure that they can't be helplessly picked off at long range if one of their team-mates is busy.
I would like to imagine that the top percent of S-rank would consist of rare and powerful Zoids, such as Energy Liger, Death Stinger, Gojulas Giga, Gairyuki, Gunblusters, Genos, as well additional non-ultimate-X Liger Zeros and Berserk Fuhrers, with many of the latter using their CAS systems to wear armor uniquely customized to reflect the skills and preferences of their pilots. Perhaps if NCZ was around at the time that the New Battle Story ended, Liger Zero and Berserk Fuhrer wouldn't have been labled as completely unique, and if a second season of NCZ was made in place of Fuzors, I'd like to have seen additional Zoids from the OJR, such as King Liger, Hound Soldier, Dead Border God Kaiser and Battle Cougar used as favorites among the Class S Veterans. As things are, most of the highest-ranking, influential members would probably have Blade Ligers, Storm Sworders, Elefanders, Gojulas, and maybe Genos.

Stop saying will never get to see I’m not going to resign myself we have a large community we can bombard Netflix and tell them that we want a better Zoid Or reboot. It will happen if we ask for it black or other anime fans ask for what they want why can’t we ask for what we want I want zoids. I refuse to leave this earth without watching another better zoids anime. And no one tell me about zoids wild.
