That’s Awesome, I started out in the upholstery world when I was 14, I was the guy (kid) that was in the back room take the fabric off of the frames of chairs, recliners, sofas, you name it, I hated the staple puller with the Forked point with the side teeth, I’m sure you know what I mean. At 18 I joined the military with no idea of what I was going to do in 1978, I got put in Survival Equipment, like I said I had no idea what that was, but i was packing parachutes, life preservers AND Sewing. After 49 years in that job and climbing the rank ladder. I was in the management world, But people seemed me out for doing odd jobs. At about age 25 I had my first sewing machine CONSEW 226r and I still have it and still making money from it. I have newer Staple pullers, the forked tongue version, I still have the old staple puller to remind me of all the band aids on my index finger… looks like you guys have a nice looking shop. I have a shop in Big Lake Alaska. I have friends at a few Boat Marina and they keep me busier than I want but winter time is the best time to do boats. I always seem to have people come but in the summer to get a new Bimini tops or to redo the naugahyde seats done before the weekend 🤣🤣🤣 that’s what I do. But winter is coming and I have them lined now. When I start a boat I’ll call them every few days so they can see the progress Then they understand why they can’t get their boat or sofa in two day. I’m glad you guys have a School, or beginners class. I’ve thought about doing the same but I’m not as organized as you guys. Even when I was doing it as kid I look back and I can see improvement that could have make the shop more presentable and profitable. But that shop is long gone by now. Keep up the good work
I’m on Instagram as @northernseams and @alaska_tree_climber ,,,I don’t climb trees anymore, getting to old for that. But you guys have fun and make the world prettier.
