TNX, Ria. Interesting to seeEurope/Germany/HAM Radio Friedrichshafen through your eyes. :) I hope next time yo'll have a bit more time to travel around. You are always welcome.
Hi Ria, thanks - was nice to watch your outside view of Germany. Was also a pleasure to meet you at our Charly25 booth. The next time you come over let me know, we are about 50km east of Munich.I am happy to invite you for a beer or a Trip on the Autobahn.73 de Edwin DC9OE
In Stuttgart you can actually your the Mercedes Benz plant and if you buy one you can come to the factory on a specified day and watch them build your vehicle
Did you use the 4 meter band 70 MHz as EU & UK uses that band? You can not use the 220 MHz there as it's part of their DAB+ Radio. It's strange as you have to add a M or another letter to your US license when you use your HT on 2 meters & 440. Not all EU & UK use the same frequencies on 440 as some use 430 MHz also.
I didn’t use 4m but I did operate QO-100 on 10GHz. I knew about the difference in frequency as I’m also a UK licensee and took their exam back in the 1990s. Thankfully my radio does that part of 70cms band as well. APRS was also on 144.800 instead of 144.390

It was ok. It does remind me of T4 a bit but T4 is worse.
