      @@liberatorairpark Hi Sean, thanks for your comments. I'm in Australia, a location called Seaham, which is near to Raymond Terrace, just north of Newcastle, about 120 miles north of Sydney, New South Wales. Where are you? The plate I had flame-cut and ground each face by a company called "Oxycut", i measured and calculated hole sizes and locations myself, and then had Newcastle Machine Shop drill, and tap as required. I'll dig out the info that I have and get it to you in the near future, hopefully it will be of some assistance to you. Sounds like an interesting project.

    How do I pick a easy engine to do a conversion like this..

  • @danagoglia1406
    @danagoglia1406 2 года назад

    I have a massey 135 and a great Chevy 350 laying around. Is this conversion possible for me? I was also wondering if using implements is possible after conversion. Like plowing, Bush hogging..etc. How different is the torque after conversion?. Thanks you. Such a great build and video!!

    • @asgardgeoff
      @asgardgeoff  2 года назад +1

      I would think that a 350 would go very nicely in a 135. Maybe the revs, and thus ground speed, would be too high for implement use. There are other people on RUclips who have done similar conversions, would be worth ask the question to them.

      Hi Brad. Not that I am aware of. In USA I believe there is a kit available for fitting a Ford Flathead V8 into a Ford Ferguson, but I don't know of any others.

      @@asgardgeoff Hell no! You're a tractor engineer man. It's the fact that you had the nouse and figured out the things required and then. You put the theory into material showing you're correct. Thus engineered? I have some planning in the brain for a similar thing myself which led me here doing research.
      I don't do predictions but I may copy your build video style after there is a completed tractor. You could sell the conversion parts that are more technical leaving the fiddly stuff to the builder like fuel supply, power circuits. Axle mods wheel choice, clutch and flywheel. This becomes a few components requiring some intelligence to get their project finished. Add a warning sticker about no liability and such actions as may cause injury or death are a real danger of using this equipment? finished. However the price also will spook a lot of jokers clear away from the persuit Ay?
