16:16 I always learn something new with your lessons: personable, to call shogun, ripped, bromance, gaydar, odds and ends, meaning of the sentence "we are down with it", and so on. Wes, your lessons are a learning treasure.
Fun fact and a little warning to other students about the phrase "feel at ease". I once used it in the USA, and I was advised to use "to be comfortable" instead because the way I pronounced it they understood that I said "do you feel a tease", which sounds kinda weird to an American ear. 🙂
I think perhaps you said it with a True T, At ease, hence, it sounded A tease.I think we could use either a flap T or like he did, do a full glottal stop in AT as T Is a Plosive letter. They made me feel welcomed. Made me feel confortable as you said, as well. My phone was cut off or my power was cut off Yesterday. To cut something short, in this case, to shorten it.
That's great! Glad you enjoyed the lesson. In the meantime, I'd recommend joining my email community to get updates. 😊 subscribe.interactiveenglishvideos.com/
Great lesson BUT I regret to point out that the exercise with "it goes without saying" was blatantly wrong. The sentence "the company takes complaints seriously" is in no way equivalent to the sentence "it goes without saying that complaints are taken seriously by the company"
Dear Was, i can see that you are really funny at this lesson, But sorry i dont beleive you, When you are saying that results are not important For me it was imposible to pass it, cos some words i really didnt know and use it as vocabullary lesson and yet i dont understand why we use verbs that wasnt in sentenses at the begining when we use Passif voice At first i tried to write the answer but quikly anderstood that its inposible but i ll try remeber the words and practice Thanks

Can we use the phrasal verb "run up" instead of shot up when it comes to seeing a rise in the prices of something?
In this situation, I would use either 'gone up' or 'shot up' with the latter being more descriptive. 👍

That sounds a bit awkward. You could use the verb 'go' instead of 'plan' and it works better. 👍
