I recently did artemis cast with exit wounds + got lucky with stygian with 3 casts. I had like 13 casts loaded on Hades when I used special and gdamn it was nice seeing the damage
Honestly, I'd genuinely like to say that I think that Greater Recall almost carried this run. Not having to get into "danger zone" to pick up the Casts has been invaluable, and potentially saved a lot of HP in return, in many instances. (also, it really feels good that you don't have to think about collecting the Casts yourselves, especially when you miss your Casts, and the moment they hit the ground, they return to ya)
Yeah, got it in one run and it felt so good. But I'm a noob, so it's especially dangerous for me to get close to enemies. Don't know about competent players.
@@Tilmann5138 I mean, the more competent you are, the less it matters, but no matter how competent you are, if you get it, it's great. But when you ARE more competent, that just means that there's less reasons to chase after it specifically, and that it's just "nice" to get it by accident, like Haelian did here. I do sometimes chase after it in advance, not cause I need it, but because it feels nice to have. A tip: an easier way to acquire it is to equip the Lambent Plume when going into Asphodel, because in order to get the Legendaries from Hermes, you need either of the Cast enhancing boobs, Flurry Cast or Quick Reload if you have Infernal Soul, or Auto Reload if you have Stygian Soul, but there's another way, and it's to have Lambent Plume, Hermes' keepsake, instead, which means that you don't need those other boons, and that you can potentially get the Legendary Boon on the first Hermes you get, if you get lucky! And I did that few times, and got lucky, and it's especially good if you don't get lucky with getting that, nor the prerequisite boons for those Legendaries, which means you can still get it on the next Hermes nonetheless. And, ofc, once you get it, you get rid of Lambent Plume. Unless you wanna keep it, but no need tbh. It served it's purpose of getting the Legendary.
@@GrimmBones thanks for the advice, didn't know that about the interaction between the legendary and keepsake. However, I always go fo the Poseidon keepsake in Asphodel to have higher chances to get the duo boon og Artemis and Poseidon. Is that not optimal?
@@Tilmann5138 Well, it's totally fine if you're going for some Cast build, but it's not always necessary. Plus, there's a bunch of different Cast builds you can try out. You can try out the Lightning Phalanx build, the Dionysus Cast build with some specific weapons, etc. Most of the casts have interesting builds around them. But the Arty and Poseidon duo boon is neato when you can get it. You should try the Poseidon Cast, and then get Demeter eventually (she's unlocked after the first completed run, dunno how far you got), and get their duo boon. It can be pretty fun too.
As others mentioned, it requires the Artemis Legendary + Extra Casts to be extra useful. Especially with PP which makes it more insane. I know you don't want to Pom PP, but the damage of Exir Wounds does scale with it
A large part of why exit wounds is great is that you can use it as an additional source of damage on top of your normal source of damage. Pomming exit wounds and using only it for damage kind of misses the point on why it's so strong, namely that it can double the amount of damage you get out of casting, which means all casts boons are amplified. If you're incenitivized to keep getting your casts back by pulling them out, you can multiply all your cast boons too, especially if you use Hermes boons to speed up the cast/pull cycle.
You know what would really make this better? Stygian Soul, Fully Loaded, Chaos +1 Cast and Auto Reload. Lets you fit about 20 casts into Hades, then "dislodge" them all at once (assuming the exit wounds/stygian soul interaction works). Then you'll see the true power of Exit Wounds
It's wild to me that I may have found one of your more recent (I know it's over a year old) videos that I haven't watched yet. Going through the full Hades playlist of 112 videos and seeing red progress bars most of the way through is bonkers. For anyone saying "Haelian why don't you do this build on stream?!?!" It's been done before I promise you and it's in this playlist.
Exit Wounds is really strong, on most casts it's like worth 2-4 poms on common rarity, with the benefit of not incrementing diminishing returns, and offering a diversifier for pom scaling. Imagine the damage if that those poms had been split between Exit Wounds and the starting artemis cast. also, for most sources of damage 10 per pom level is really competitive. especially above level 3-5.
Still yet to see Exit wounds after a combined on two different games of about 60 runs. This morning around 3am, i decided to hook up my controller too my PC. Long behold i made it to Hades and won for the 1st time. 6:30am now, still awake, shit to do today.
@@darkanayer5867 sure thing. They talked how support fire really appeals to their audience and hades' players in general, because it has an awesome visual effect. I love how troll this is. So, I just did a run with Poseidon sword and I used Zues keepsake to get cast plus natural Athena dash and Special plus more Zues (jolted and Call) showing up causing me to doubt my commitment to Artemis.... So I got a natural Arty epic PP and then much later Attack (only after carrying Artemis keepsake through 2 biomes)... Obviously not. So you can prepare a run just by quickly jumping in, checking what you get, and then planning a build
Yes as the cast doesn’t dislodge when you regenerate your cast, so if you have Chaos + 1 cast and Chiron cast, plus Hermes auto reload boons you could effectively stack 10+ casts
