    That’s a lot involved in a crossover but it looks impressive on a layout. Great video George.

    Looks great George. I’m about to set up my Gargraves track and I guess I could do similar.

      Thanks Corey! Gargraves makes excellent track as well, and I'm sure that something similar can be done to make one.

      @@trainwild Unlike Atlas, Gargraves makes a double crossover.

    You would think by 2023 lazy Lionel would a figure a way to remove that middle rail and look more prototypical. Very well made setup here lots of great work and detail.

    Hey George - Great video! This type of crossover looks like it would be beneficial on a smaller layout that needs two tracks. I'll consider it. Very informative. Congrats on getting to over 1K subscribers. Keep up the good work.

    If you made them all red for the double crossover would it keep moving from 3 to 2 then back to 3?

    • @trainwild
      @trainwild  Год назад +1

      Hi, The answer to your question is yes. If all 4 switches were thrown to red, the train would go from 3 to 2, and 2 to 3 endlessly. That's a great question, and I can show this in my next video. Stay tuned.

    Hi George I love the double crossover how to! Thank you for sharing.. I absolutely love the layout, it’s crazy big!! What are the table dimensions if you don’t mind sharing?

      Hello! Thank you very much, I really appreciate the wonderful comments! I am very glad to hear that you love the layout, I really worked very hard to get it done, and put a lot of effort into it. I dont mind at all, the layout dimensions are 16' wide and 24' long. I made a video called "Model Train Layout Details" that shares almost all of the features and hidden details about the layout, that you might enjoy watching if you have the time. Thank you again!

    Curious why not cut a longer piece of track instead of all the short bits?

    • @trainwild
      @trainwild  Год назад +1

      Hello, thanks for your comment. To properly answer your question there are several factors to consider as follows; 1. Although, a piece of longer track can be cut, Atlas O manufacturers these pieces to be joined together for these purposes without having to cut a piece. 2. Atlas O does not make a single piece to be used in this space. 3. You may certainly cut a longer piece if you prefer, but you will have to take into consideration that longer pieces are more expensive, and when cutting them there will no doubt be some waste.
      Ultimately, I have shown it joining together with manufactured pieces as intended by Atlas O.
