This is not a scrap yard, it's paradise !
Hey Christina! Your smart not to go where you think it may be unsafe. You always pick me up when you both work together! God bless you guys!
The relationship that Richard and Christina has is one so many couples only dream about but don't spend the time trying to build. That is so sad. You can see from these two how much fun they have and how close they are to each other.
I"m still fairly new to the channel so it's taken me some time to go through all the videos but this kind of video is like pure heaven to me. I think it needs to be said that there are alot of RUclips channels that do revivals of vehicles but what i feel really makes this channel special is that it's not just about getting the car running again. Yes, that's an amazing feeling when it first fires back to life. But the fact that Richard and Christina include the exploration of the property and vehicles too is really important to me. It makee me feel like i'm there with them and on a treasure hunt of a past time. To me so many people just abandon some of the nicest vehicles and what a better place to unearth but an old wrecker yard. Wow, this channel just keeps getting better and better. Thank you.
That is great feedback. Thank you for the support you are giving the channel. We really appreciate it, and keep the feedback coming.
Naah, I don’t see a gold mine here. I see a bunch of mostly late ‘70s- 2000s cars and trucks that have sat for a long, long, long time. People get into an environment like this and sometimes get overly exciting that they have really found a score, perceived scarcity, but they fail to realize that all of your options here are either very ambitious restorations or parts cars. If you find something you want to take on, I would never discourage anyone … but bear in mind, these are not gold; they are cars that need hundreds of hours of labor and thousands (if not tens of thousands) of dollars of new part and materials to bring back to some resemblance of good condition. In this situation, the owner/seller has things reasonably priced, but any owner seller trying to sell vehicles like these under the impression that he or she is “sitting on a goldmine” should just be avoided. The simple fact is that are more old cars and trucks requiring heavy investments of love and cash then there are people who want them, have the skillset, facilities, or are able to afford to buy them. There is absolutely no need to overpay for a project car or truck. There is a reason that so many RUclipsrs buy non running projects, get them running and maybe driving, then stop and pass the vehicle on to new owner who can advance the project forward … and that reason is to avoid investing more into the project than they can reasonably get back out of it!
Interesting for the history more than anything being there a guy would wasn to rescue. Not a lot of demand as you said so most of it will be scrapped
Yup , sometimes one man’s junk is another man’s junk.
In my case, I paid around $3000 for a 1960 olds that still has all of it's parts and should run and drive with little effort and won't be too much to fully restore, I bought it only because I know that I have the skill and more importantly the cash to fully fix it up
The problem is that people buy these and think they're worth something because "it has potential to be worth thousands of dollars".
Truth is that owner is the only one that has the potential to make it into something. The car ain't going to fix itself.
I like classics and all, but I walked into a project once(1969 ford galaxie) and didn't realize how much work it really would take to fully restore it.
I ended up giving it away in the end.
If you really want to build a classic. You need to have space, time, money, skill, patience. Also some parts you just can't buy anymore.
Even if you fully restore it. It's probably only worth a few thousand. I know those old chevy's and Ford's ain't worth more then 7k in mint condition.
Tbh those old trucks were nothing but beaters when I was a teen and I just can't see past that. They're still beat around work trucks in my eyes.
Every single one of those vehicles is worth $100k on Barrett Jackson! They will only require $150k in restoration costs to get there….
Best video in a long time y'all, R&C Vintage Auto Exploration, LOL Thank y'all so much for taking us along. Amazing and depressing at the same time. So many cool, old pieces of America's transportation history being reclaimed by mother nature. 😢
That's right Dale. Thanks for watching.
That big GMC with the V6 with that funny bed on it I do believe that is a service truck for roadside tire calls. My uncle had one just like that and he had a tire service for heavy duty trucks back in the early 80s. I remember it as a kid. But then again, he could’ve bought his and repurposed it.
I think you mailed it. That must be what this truck was used for. Thanks for the info.
That old v-4 Wisconsin air compressor is a beast
I got an old air compressor ..a saylor Beall..and an old inground Rotary lift from an old place like you visited..i resqued.. restored ..now back in service in my home garage
Oh and the rear end from that 6.1 ford fifth wheel truck with the white cab, thanks BigAl California
Richard, it is good to see you and Christina out exploring again! That place is amazing! Those vines look like Kudzu which is a very fast-growing invasive plant. Lots of treasure in the place and vehicles worth saving.
Thanks Ron. The guy that was with us kept calling it Kudzu, but I had never heard that word and figured it was some kind of slang.I see that it is not, and is actually quite a problematic vine.
@@whattherust its real prevalent in the south and I believe it came from China.
Yeah they thought it was a good idea for erosion control in East tn to keep Mt sides from eroding onto roads until they found out it grows very fast and takes over all vegetation....and it will make ur skin itch and break out
The truck with the big hook. Was a heavy equipment repair/maintenance truck.
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Love stuff like this ! Will have to catch the rest later ! This video will have a lot of information ! Thanks guys !
What an amazing place still with tools, parts, equipment , this a treasure trove.
There are some precious things in that place, I love that Chevy blazer as well as those big four-door Cadillacs
Right on, and I think those vehicles will go very cheap.
I think that Square body in the garage might have been a diesel (Oldsmobile diesel) People would convert those to the Oldsmobile gas engine when the diesel engine wore out and of course the Olds diesel was a troublesome lot. Neat video and there are a lot of neat things in there. That candy machine is a Lance candy machine, and it is a manual unit. you put your money in and pull the knob for your selection and the snack is released for pickup. Lance would go around and get businesses to put in the machines and a local Lance distributor would service them. We had one at a place where I worked down in Tampa Fl. That was over fifty years ago (my time flies).
Time does fly. Thank you for watching.
Neat place. It was great meeting you guys in Moultrie.
Same here!
The truck with the hydraulic lift and air compressor was probably a field service truck for large tractor tires.
Awesome location! Every car person's dream is to walk through a property like that. You are so lucky, thank you for sharing it with us.
True, I am a lucky guy to be able to do these things that I love to do. Thanks for watching.
richard what a gold mine i hope some one does something with it that ole ford galaxie with the 3 on the tree that a rare find there thank you for sharing
You're welcome John. I am confident someone will grab that Galaxie. If not, maybe I will.
Very interesting 🤔👍 content guys. It could take a fella many days to go through all that stuff 🤠. Thanks 👍 for sharing.
You're very welcome.
I wish RUclips had an amazing 🎉 button! what the rust you guys and your taste in cars and knowledge is so wise also. I learned what a bull nose ford is today, my uncle had one and I loved that truck. Thanks for the content
Thank you for the nice comment! Glad you liked the video.
Richard,I'm so glad you're doing good and to have Christina to be with you to help you,she is very special!I love both of you and I'm glad to see you doing well, happy thanksgiving!!
Thanks very much Ronald. Happy Thanksgiving!
when pt crusiers were new, a guy here in aus,, went to a hot rod show.. they refused him entry,,'' its not,,, a hot rod''..@@whattherust
mirrors on that f150 city truck, are 600 bucks each..@@whattherust
Seeing that service station made me think about when I worked them years ago
It is totally different and wonderful to me Richard and Christina!!! The Bronco was one of my favorites, I also own and love old tow trucks and box trucks!!!!!😊👍😁👋🙏
thanks
Really interesting place, love these old abandoned places lost to time. You two take care XX
Thanks for the support. If we come across more places like this we will be sure to create a video.
That was an awesome video. Definitely look forward to them
We appreciate the support Tammy.
Awesome video. Some great scores for anyone restoring an old Ford or Chevy truck. I remember the old junk yards used to have school buses loaded with parts like these.
Right on. A lot of this reminded me of the junkyards of my childhood.
This is good fun, tHanks for the video.
Happy tHanksgiving everyone. I hope you are having a relaxing weekend doing fun projects.
Thanks! To you as well!
Thanks!
Love these kinds of videos!
Wow that place is amazing
I live about 20 minutes from this place I heard they were selling vehicles but didn’t know who to talk to Going there today and try to buy a wrecker I’ve had my eye on Thank you
where in tennessee is this at
Just South of Celina.
That is great to hear! Which wrecker?
The 70 gray 2 ton We are discussing price today
I bought the gray Chevy 2 ton wrecker Cab is in pretty good shape Got it home today Don’t think it will take much to get it running
Wow what a find !
Awesome Awesome Awesome thankyou
It's good to see you again. How are you feeling ?
Thanks, I am feeling great! We are starting to film new will it run videos this weekend.
You guys seem like really good people and I love your videos. Keep em coming.
Thank you for the support. We have a bunch more videos coming.
@@whattherust you're welcome
Great video guys I enjoyed it a lot Richard you and Christina done a really good job showing us every thing I would say people will come for the square bodies they are making a big come back in the pickup world
I agree dale. There are lots of them there with lots of solid parts.
The service bed v6 gmc with crane on back was used 4 planting tulips 🌷 in the spring.
Love the encouragement look
that obs inside the shop looks promising
It looks amazing. Someone spent a lot of time on it many years ago.
I’m really surprised you didn’t grab up that manual Ford 2 door for a grand or 1500, unless you are already maxed out in the project zone like me,but being single, I lose control once in a while and get more.
It is a long tow home from this place, so I passed. There were a few vehicles there I would have liked to get.
The kudzu has taken over as with any abandoned place down there. Some of the square body trucks have potential especially the one that’s inside. I have a 73 C30 with single wheels and utility body I daily drove for 2 years until I retired. I also bought a Ford Ranger new in 1986 and daily drove for 33 years son it’s also cool to see them
That's awesome the candy is still in the machine
Great vid guys. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
That old International in the back ground look cool up the Chevy wrecker
Right, I would guess that the International sold quickly. At the time I had no room, otherwise I would have bought it.
You know you're old when vehicles you remember being introduced are in a junkyard.
Right on.
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. 3 am just got up ( wow ) this is one of those places that just blows your mind ! Sad to see this was a life work ! Water coming will finish this place off ! Sad ! Grate video guys !
Great content 👍🏻👍🏻
Cool yard good show 😄👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you Francois
Richard and Christina I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
Thank you Robert. You as well!
@@whattherust thank you 👍
that GMCwith the service body on it appears to be an old tire service rig for heavy equipment tires n such
Hey Richard
It’s been awhile I’m so glad you have been blessed with an amazing lady when I got to meet you and spend some time with you I was very impressed on what a great guy you are I hope you guys do very well and I love what your doing Thanks
Your Alabama friend Darrin
Hey Darrin! It is great to hear from you.It would be great to catch up. My email is rdb6x@yahoo.com.
Great video and so fantastic to see you up and about Richard. you are a inspiration to me as i,m booked in next year for a quad bypass best wishes from over the pond here in the UK keep up the good work!
Good luck with the surgery Paul. Just follow the doctor's directions and you'll be fine. The first couple of days are tough, but it gets easier every day after that.
Hi yall from west Alabama hugs
That black Ford pick up looked like a Flareside ford. I love those trucks
Well you kids certainly got your steps in today. That’ll be good for your cardio Richard. Glad your doing well with your recovery. You made me laugh Christina with your story about “ maybe someone with an axe “. Your more likely to run into a bear lol. Thanks for taking us out today, as always it was a pleasure.👍👍🇨🇦
You're right Dan. I think that trip counts as physical therapy! Thanks for watching.
Wow! That gas station is a regular modern age sarcophagus and some of the cars can be rehabbed. I'd be there in a flash to buy a vehicle or two but don't have a yard. If I were Sue I'd get some helpers to trim the kudzu before winter gets really bad. Then get some pallets and big boxes and categorize the parts in the shop as much as possible. Call in an auctioneer and sell it by the pallet. That's what the DOD's DRMO does.
Boy nice video---brings back a lot of old memories when I was young and worked at an old garage.
BTW--that Holmes wrecker body 480 was the smallest twin boom unit they made at the time. That was back when they were stick mechanical chain drive wreckers--ran off a pto on the tranny. Pre-hydraulic stuff.
Good to know. Thank you for the info on that wtecker body.
Hey Richard that big truck you were questioning looks to me like it was some kind of service truck at one time
Excellent video Christina :) , Richard :) yes nice place and garage plus gas station all vechiles too ! You love old farm barn made in garage, convince store plus yard also fuel yard station to my one late cousins had back from 1930 to 1985 and since closed up in 2018 ! Orgnail was Black Smith and Wagon make company before vechiles repair shop! Also Orgnail fire department in my area another one too since closed up in 1978 and has World War 2 Jeeps of Willie ones! Happy Thanksgiving Holiday USA 🇺🇸 to you both and everyone!
Thanks very much Andrew.
@@whattherust welcome
Hi Richard & Christina, another awesome video as always. Happy Thanksgiving from Jerome & family in California.
Thank you Jerome. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
That thing reminds me of road service vehicles for heavy trucks maybe the lifters for tires and of course they would need a compressor maybe like a rescue vehicle talking about the late 60s early 70s most interesting vehicle there
You got it Darren. That must have been a tire service truck for big rigs. First time I have seen one.
thumbs up
Thanks David.
Good deal y'all 👍👍🤟🤘✌️
I’m trying to figure out where this is at because I’m actually interested in a couple of items.
Just South of Celina Tennessee. The owner will provide the exact directions.
Knocking on the window...reminds me of The Walking Dead. 😁
good video and content hope you are feeling better.........its sad to see all these go to waste especially seems like no organization at all over there waste of land space and vehicles
Thanks very much.
The GMC is an old service truck. The "hook" you pointed out is a hydraulic crane. Vehicle was used to repair heavy equipment.
You got it. I'd love to bring that one back to life.
A service truck with a compressor and a hydraulic lift boom, probably a tire truck for heavy equipment
That small gold pickup was not a Dakota, but not sure what it was. Tried to pause and get some details but too much glare and shrub..lol. Thanks for the share...
Richard you are a strong man to go through the operation you did god bless you and your out there doing what you do. How old are you? If you don't mind me asking
That Square Body in the Gas station ⛽ would definitely be worth Saving.
Definitely. Someone put a lot of time into that truck.
@@whattherust definitely 👍
Wow so many parts, so many vehicles. I've noticed lots of same type Ford pickup trucks. One could probably built one and drive it away. But that place is a jungle. It's just so much overgrown. It would be wise for the owner to hire cleaning crew and once the lot is cleared of the jungle, to have the vehicles arranged by body type so that buyers have access to the needed parts or potential project. That pickup truck inside the building looks solid, but how would you even get it out. The Ford pickup truck 8:30 is my favourite. You said it's flat bed, put a normal bed and there, a cool truck.
What the rust I want to buy two of the big two trucks and one of the small tow truck and a jeep
That's great! Just contact Sue. Her contact email is in the video description.
Definitely sucks running out of wire or gas on the weekend. But the panels and stuff looks awesome.
That old GMC with the work body may have been used as an on site Farm tractor or construction equipment tire repair vehicle.
I think you have it right. That compressor must have been used for big rig tires.
@@whattherust Old Farm boy here that also spent 30 years on the road hauling cars. Lol. That truck looked familiar..🤔 lol
Vicegrip garage is in Tennessee, Derrick likes the square body Chevy and GMC
Cute Cats 😻
There's a treasure trove of parts in that old place.
I subscribe love the video I will be watching more
Welcome Matthew!
I am neighbors with a couple that just moved here a year or so ago.... They got their pickup truck back they lost during one of them towing scams going on up in NY. It took 4 years in court to get the truck back. The owner of the towing company got time in jail for his efforts. They traveled back to where they used to live thinking their truck would be able to be driven home since it was nearly brand new only 8 months old when it was taken/stolen. Well the engine was gone the back axle was gone. It was sitting outside the tow yard that had been purchased by one of them chosen folks carefully place the truck on old tree stumps and some boards.
Funny how Christina was there the whole time lol. It's funny on our channel how it's me and Chance. But occasionally you can see Mary with us. She stays behind the scenes and doesn't wear a microphone if she's in a video. Its like she's there but we don't interact much on camera. She mostly handles our patreon and some of the fb posts
looks like you're going strong again. :)
aww, what a place... I would, if I could. if only to break through the underbrush and discover what was hidden there. :) would liked to have that galaxie, though. ah, anyway. I hope they can find new owners for everything. ^^
also, kitties. =^_^=
I'm reminded of a scrapyard I stumbled across in the mid-90's, located southeast of Munich, germany, not far away from Wasserburg, nestled beside a forest. old and new stuff, cars, trucks, bikes... a bus filled with coolers, another full of gearboxes, and a container or two full of small motorbikes. some truck axles trying to hide vertically, and somewhere inbetween what I think was a 1974 or so, Ford LTD in baby blue with same interior. still fairly complete, because I suspect it was the only one of it's kind in germany. XD
of course the place has been long since taken down because of new environmental laws and such.
Hi Lothar. That is unfortunate. Stateside these yards disappear due to housing developments and the owners passing away. In a decade or two most will be gone.
Love that white truck that says Salisbury NC. That's where am from
Nice! That truck looked salvageable.
@@whattherust hope someone buys it. Are feeling any better Richard
@@jesserobinette2459 Yes, thanks, I am doing great! Almost at 100%.
That is a heavy equipment service truck. Gmc heavy duty.
I’ll tell you what,I’d buy the international rollback tomorrow if it weren’t so far away.towing a tow truck to jersey would cost a fortune.
That one was one of my favorites too.
I had 2 Dodge Rampage ! '82
On your nova that you we’re working on get your number one compression stroke up, see where the rotor is pointing. That will tell you if you have time.
That's right. I had trouble that day doing exactly that, but next time I'll use a TDC whistle to be sure.
Take that kodiak and those 2 vans and build a KODIAK based K5 BLAZER clone!
Dennis Collin love any Cj 5 Jeep
The basement! Don't go in the basement!! 😱😱😂😂 That is a fascinating place, for sure!! I love old junkyards. Thanks for sharing, Richard and Christina! I hope you're both doing well.
Glad you liked it David. This place was fascinating.
Used for road tire work for big rigs
I would love to come there and do revivals
Id buy some of that right now..if I knew where it was
Info is in the video description.
I love these foraging episodes 😊 Christina you must have been in your element 😂 please tell me you got the Motorcraft sign!
Hi Bruce. We did! Neither the clock nor light work, but it isn't anything I can't restore. It is going up on the wall in the garage once I have some time to mess with it.
@@whattherust that's awesome mate! I'm sure you can get that working. As we say in NZ primo mate😂, the word mate comes up a lot in our vocabulary...
@@brucemelton4983 Nice, we use primo in Italian slang too.

You should buy the place and fix it up
So what are you bringing home with you? Oh, that Simpson 260 voltmeter is a very good instrument.
Well, whoever owns this old place, is sitting on a gold mine !!!!!
Man, Richard! If all of that underbrush wasn't there you'd have a blast just seeing how many you could get to run. That second school bus was a 60's era International Loadstar. I'm really partial to the Loadstars like the one at 35:40. I drove one in the later 60's. They drove and handled much better than people would have thought they would. At 40:40, an engine heater in Alabama? That truck was definitely NOT from there. At 59:59, that Simpson 260 multimeter is an old electronics classic. I still have mine. There are some things a digital just cannot measure but the Simpson can. At 1:06:10, did you guys notice that really old range back there? I can imagine somebody would want that just for a display in an older home.
Yes sir that chassis for school buses was a bread and butter piece for International. International would provide the chassis and bulkhead and the individual body builders would provide the bus body. In fact all of the commercial manufacturers do that for the commercial industry.
You sure have a keen eye Richard. When I saw the cord for the engine heater I though there was no way anyone would notice it. Wrong!
@@whattherust When I was stationed in Alaska one of the very first things I had to do was install an engine heater on my '70 Challenger. Without one you just never could use a vehicle up there in the winter IF the engine didn't get cold soaked and blow up first.
I LOVE to find a 69 Chevy truck short bed
