This guy Malik is a blast!! I sit here as a foreigner taking so much interest in Ghana only to get very disappointed by the sheer insensitivity of a corruptocracy. I listen to myriads of corrupt issues simply swept under the carpet or ignored. How long can Ghana sustain such overdose of sleaze, shenanigans and looting that leave hapless Ghanaians that are cracking under the weight of such extravagance borne out of nepotism, cronyism and impunity. I used to visit a lot as a tourist and together with my fellow diasporians intended to settle based on the vacuous pitches of your prez, ie "year of return", but the level of lawlessness and impunity witnessed in communities by political apparatchiks made our vision shortlived. Ghana needs to be rescued.
In an organized planned society, the primary goal of public transportation is not " cost reduction" but convenience, efficiency and reduction of congestion. Public transportation can sometimes be more expensive but people chose that for convenience
The choice for convenience comes after the essential base has been established. If we offer a cost effective base price for a mode of transportation that the general masses can afford consistently granting access to all areas, then we introduce convenient ones. If the average Mensah can’t afford to go to and from work and other basic needs using public transport, there’s little gain in offering more convenient offerings like private pickup vehicles.
