I enjoyed Your Video, Simple Hand Made Tool's made without all the fancy Expensive Shop Tool's that the common people like myself can't afford, that's what I like about Your Video and the Beautiful Knife You Produced the most!! Thank You for a fine job!! Sincerely, JQ
Well done for the knife construction and for the video. I enjoyed watching you. I think you have a much steadier hand than me with that grinder and Dremel saw. I recommend wearing gloves when you hold the piece in your hand, and avoid some scars in the future when a spinning blade grabs unexpectedly.
Nice job with a minimum of tools. I'd recommend using safer practices, like wearing gloves and securing the work piece. I like the idea of bringing new life to old saw blades!
bought a set if dremel saws like that from harbor freight soon as I put the thing on hi the shaft bent 90 degrees and I thought I was going to lose a finger for sure
Sometimes you just have to spend the money and buy the legit stuff. I love the cheap tools too. I swear by Princess Auto, and Canadian Tire brand tools (I live in Ontario, Canada). Though I’ve found some tools just can’t be skimped on.
look great man. look some by wood craft. with look knifes internet. some knifes look exactly like that one. I know fact mad worn saw blade block of wood.
so , will it heating it again and keep it for cooling in air or flour will do the tempering ? I am inclined to make one but the tempering need of keeping it at constant temperature in oven is kind of demotivating for a weekend diyer like me. Any simple trick ?
I was looking for a nice simple, classic design and yours fits the bill perfectly thank you for sharing!
Glad you like it!
Thank you! 😊

GREAT JOB👍👍.
Nice job and video
This is not HSS, it's not even tool steel. Only welded teeth are carbide, the main body is comon soft steel, not suitable for knives. Common mistake.

You only case hardened the blade you never got it hot enough to harden it then you need to temper it to.
Thats nothing like case hardening

Per ribattere i chiodi ti consiglio un martello con testa sferica, così non rovini l'impugnatura...
