The news about a possible cure for lupus has to best news I have heard. I am a carrier for lupus and my dad has lupus, I have worried about having kid's out of fear of them having lupus, but hearing that in the near future I and my dad will not have to worry about it ever again is wonderful.
Great Job! Best story was the found children...also, the news that nature has rights! It would be so uplifting to see more stories of river clean-ups and any court wins. Thanks so much!
What great stories this week. Fills my heart with so much joy and hope. My favorite was probably the Ecudor river rights. Water is life and water has a spirit.
The sugar tax idea is brilliant and seeing that it works is even better, imagine how cool it would be if all nations took more productive ideas from eachother, to better their people.
Wow, this was nice, if it feels weird to watch a video thats entirely focused on good news, I think I need more of this content in my life. Time to subscribe :)
4:20 That's great, but how much high fructose corn syrup and colors are in there? You can't call that a win without showing how these corporations made the changes.
Hi there, i guess you are meaning to ask how they change the DNA of those wheat plants to fit them into nowadays conditions. Have you heard of CRISPER before? Its a technique which allows you to cut out parts of DNA and put in another set. While this isnt necessarly the case for plants its kinda similar. You have a seed with DNA inside. Now you figure out wich combination of DNA is for example responsible that the plant has very short roots. You take that part and change it so you get to have a plant that has deep roots. The plant itself can now grow and its seeds auromatically have the changed DNA inside. If you would produce bread with that wheat it would really just be wheat. No corn sirup or additives unless the bakery puts that into the bread. ....thats another topic tho DISCLAIMER: Personal Opinion I dont like that they interfere with DNA. Of course its super helpful and can in some cases even cure diseases. Its just that plants need time to evolve to still be as great as possible for us and nature. It also vastly depends on the climate those plants grow in. They once were are all different in every region you found them. In my home country we got something we call the Grandfather of wheat which is basically the healtiest corn you can get. In the end much of nowadays stuff is genetically modified. Not by actually interfering with DNA but by breeding. Humans did that long before CRISPER was invented which is the reason why so many apple trees bear heavy and grand apples that taste different than another breed. Its not all bad. Im personally just not a fan of the fast changing DNA caused by techniques like cripser. We dont have jet to come to see the impact and we also got quite little evidence wich part of DNA is responsible for which part of the plant. Its honestly a guessing game right now but i would absolutely approve it, if they did a bunch of testing in a lab before they put it out into the wild. One thing left. The original time that I dove into the topic of crisper and gene modification was two years ago. I havent looked into it since then, so there its absolutely possible that my knowledge is way to old and my opinion isn't up to date. If you'd like to look into this more, I highly advise you to start with Crispers use to cure diseases. Its not as complex as plants and gives you a nice oversight of everything you need to know. Alright thats everything from me. Have a nice day and continue learning new stuff :)
at 12:40 in the video you mention that both the nasal and injection routes provide similar results, while the next sentence was that they had similar common side effects
I find it interesting that corporations are considered people(corporate entity is very on the nose) and have the same rights/protections people do with none of the consequences, yet rivers/mountains/the earth aren't considered living beings that deserve protecting as well. They are the givers and maintainers of life. Our life. Smh
First time watching your video. I love it. Is it possible for you to add the links to donations like the golden parakeet and the we will find you 2 operation in the bio? It can help a lot when I want to help support.
The current administration transported 300-400k minors to their "sponsors" on regular flights across the country. Now, they have no idea where they are. When you consider the US is the biggest consumer of child p***, you wonder wth is going on at some ranks of the government
Tbf that one is kind of misleading. The number of children who were *reported* missing in one year includes a lot that were found very quickly. So not the total number of missing children (which i couldn't find in a quick google search). I also don't know how to feel about the majority of the found kids being "endangered runaways", which could mean a lot of things. I don't want to be too much of a downer on this channel so I'll leave it at that but if you're interested in that whole topic there is a podcast called 'You're wrong about' that has a great episode about it.
sugar and salt need to be taxed hard and why because food only tastes good now adays because of those 2 things and use america and high fructose counts as sugar
To correct this: an emergency injection comes usually in a pen. That means you just ram it in your upper leg i.e. and that's it. No need to prepare a needle and finding a vene.
@the sugar tax part you show a map where it could pave the way for other countries. This didn't include The Netherlands, is that because we already have the sugar tax (we do) and therefore the UK doesn't have to pave the way for us? Or because we were forgotten? Genuinely wondering :)
curious, never knew anything about lupus, other than things that affect specifically female organs I hardly ever hear of things that affect females more often than males
I don't want to put a damper on things, but the fact they had to give a river rights and prove those rights had been violated after turning it into a literal river of sewage just says a lot about the people responsible

I don’t think you should have down played the success of the sugar tax so much, I haven’t found any article or research study attributing the UK’s success to much else than the sugar tax and you didn’t mention that it has also significantly reduced what was an epidemic level of children with rotten teeth as well. And another great thing about it, is prior to that the UK had spent tens of millions trying to reduce diabetes in young children with no visible effect whatsoever, but a sugar tax is inexpensive and may even earned them some money in the process, which means its an accessible measure for poorer countries too. Win win! The food industry won’t be happy of course and will I assume do everything to downplay, discredit the study.
Are you kidding???? The current administration cannot track 300 to 400k minors who have been delivered from the border to their "sponsors". When you consider the US is the biggest consumer of child p***, I'm afraid the government is rather siding with human trafficking than actual saving these kids

Nature needs to be represented in courts everywhere. Protect the Rainforest, oceans, rivers, trees, farmland, atmosphere, etc.
Absolutely! Especially since (in places like the US) corporations are afforded the same legal rights as an individual.
Yes, and see our society collapse as a side effect. You do realize that literally EVERYTHING we do has a negative impact on the environment, right
