@in yeah I was thinking that might happen when you said you set up your plough point facing into the wind . Lucky the rain didnt have a lot of wind behind it you would have ended up soaked or having to reorientate the shelter or both lol
Hi Mitch, thanks again for letting me camp at your spot last night. A wet one but a good one. I ended up heading out to the boarder to see if I could get any views over the valleys but unfortunately it was clouded in. Otherwise a great hike. Great to meet you my vid should be up on Tuesday. Cheers Paul
Man Paul, those drone shots are amazing! I'm so excited to see this channel grow. I think when I subscribed to this channel you had just over 600 subs. Now you have twice that many and still growing. Keep at Paul and before you know it you'll be getting a 100,000 plaque from RUclips to hang on the wall.
Thanks Brendan, I won’t be divulging the hidden gems I find as they then get overrun, by people. I use Gaia to find all of my camping spots. I hope you understand. Cheers Paul
something different . Carrying a pack must have been a bit different , hope it didn't wreck you too much . Paddling is defiantly a lot more chilled and you can take more food luxuries and beer . Still plenty of lakes and estuaries to explore if your rivers are to unpredictable . That was some nice tucka you cooked up there . What is your herb mix ?
Unfortunately the lakes I paddled before Christmas were in poor shape. The high water temperatures turned the water a dark mustard colour. Herb mix is just ground salt and pepper which works a treat. Thanks for watching.
That’s a nice change up Paul. It looked very peaceful and relaxing. How far did you walk? You may have mentioned it but I have rushed through the video as grandkids have invaded. Have to agree about the rivers on the east coast this season. They have been very volatile. Makes it hard to organise a fishing trip. Also what size pack were you using? Look forward to your next video.
Nothing like camping under a tarp in the rain, relaxing listening to the rain hitting the tarp.
Hi Barry, agreed it’s a great way to camp. Cheers Paul
yeah I reckon. I love sheltering under a tarp in a summers storm . So long as it's not to bloody windy
Yes I was lucky that the wind didn’t drive through the gorge.

Watching this on a Friday afternoon after work. The phrase 'cleansing ale' really struck a chord. Great idea. Entertaining video too.
Ha, I hope you enjoyed the cleansing Ale, and the video. Cheers
Nice to meet you last night at Echo Point Paul, hope you managed to stay dry on your walk out.

Absolutely gorgeous work my friend 👏👏
Thanks for the feedback and for watching.
Awesome video
Cheers
Thanks Paul, great spot and love the cookup 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Shaun
Great spot. How far did U have to walk in from the nearest car park?
Yeah it was about 4-5 k which was pretty easy. Just off a fire trail.

Thanks Rick, it's subscribers like you that keep me motivated and help to grow the channel. So thanks for that. Regards Paul
Brilliant
Cheers
Do you reckon there would be fish in the river it seemed to be flowing
Yeah there was a big old European Carp, and only a trickle of water moving between the water holes. Once it cools off they will be on the bite again.
Hi Paul, great vid as always. If you don’t mind my asking, what river are you on?

@@Getgowin wow bad news about the lakes
Watch out for those snakes mate.
Must admit I didn’t see any on this trip, but I was keeping an eye out. Cheers Paul

Morning Ken, this was a relatively short walk in only 3ks. But a brilliant spot. Cheers Paul
