    I was quoted a price upwards of $200 to remove a door panel to drain water that accumulated inside due to weather strips. Glad I checked RUclips first. Thank you!

    So ive got to replace a faulty trunk release switch which is in that driver door panel (2018 Civic)
    Do any of the door tabs break off or require replacment when reinstalling the panel?
    Is it simply just snapping the panel back in place?

    .... then just simply rip and tug until it pops off. Don't worry, the broken pieces can be replaced. LOL... thanks for the video bro. I realize after watching that I may just have to get used to my stock speakers.

    Do you know if the cloth armrest that is aft of the control panel is held on with clips only and can be removed in a similar fashion as the control panel? I want to replace my son's cloth ones with the "leather" ones because his cloth ones on his 3 month old Civic are wearing poorly.

    • @michaelcaoun6919
      @michaelcaoun6919 5 лет назад

      Never mind. I just replaced them and found that you do have to take off the door panel to take off three screws on the inside (I also see that you answered that below a year ago). Thanks.

    I'm looking at replacing the cloth arm-rests on the door with the leather ones - do you have to remove the door panel to replace those?

    • @DIYHonda
      @DIYHonda  7 лет назад

      You will have to remove the door panel to change those out.

    • @michaelcaoun6919
      @michaelcaoun6919 5 лет назад

      I just replaced the cloth ones with the leather ones on my son's 2018 hatchback sport. There are three screws on the inside of that piece so you can't take it off without removing the door panel. Removing the door panel is very easy though.

      anupom458 you can’t really remove them cause apparently nobody makes them but there’s plenty of companies that make a tint kit for it so you can black them out

    Do you have a video of how to get to the outside door panel of 2016 Honda Civic to see a dent? I have been searching everywhere and I can't find it.

      DIYHonda Hi, thank you for responding. I have a dent in the front right side of my car. I want to try to see if I can pop it out from the inside. Is there a way to get to the outside panel without completely pulling out the inside panel?

    • @DIYHonda
      @DIYHonda  7 лет назад

      Unfortunately, you will have to remove the door panel to access the outer panel.

      The actual speaker itself is 6" but if you measure from the outside of the speaker housing to the other side of the housing it is 6.5"

    Ok, this and other videos littering RUclips only cover the panel that doesn’t have the vertical door pull handle (2018 I just worked on), and this video fails to mention that panel exists. This removal procedure won’t work. On that panel, you need to remove 3 screws, one under a plastic coin sized cover in the well of the grip handle, one larger screw below the vertical handle(not covered), and lastly one under a plastic trim piece of the vertical handle. The trick for removing that plastic trim piece is inserting a plastic trim tool at the bottom of the plastic cover and pry from there....as the top of the vertical trim piece is hooked so prying there will break the trim piece. Wish these videos would mention the other panel removal.
