Well he took I75 via the turnpike right to Ft Pierce via vehicle atta there. I put a blindfold on him right up to the beach and when he took it off and looked out he cried. he could NOT believe it. Yeah I walked him right up to the edge so he could hear the surf before he saw it and it was rough that day as this was in the middle of January. Blew him away he was humbled. Next time you catch a fish you got to clean the guts out first. It makes it easier to fillet. Also instead of tossing it overboard chop it up in pieces and toss it in a pot of water. You can boil off the excess meat and collect it to make sandwiches and even make a fish stock although I don’t think that would be very tasty.

Congratulations on your successful passage and video production. You are an inspiration. I took the lesson to get as much rest as one can, whenever possible, to be ready for unplanned events and to be awake more for the increased traffic when approaching landfall.

Good Nz morning Sam. Recently discovered your channel, liked what I saw, so have subscribed. Great episode mate. Good fishing too. Just a quick tip when hand lining solo. Just keep one end of your line attached to your reel at all times. Pull the line in and drop the line into a bucket as you go. Don't muck around winding it on to the Reel....too much fiddling around. Deal w with the fish, first, then once you're sorted, and free, tip your bucket upside down emptying the line into the cockpit. You'll find its already loosely coiled the right way up, then just have to wind it back onto the reel. No tangles. I found myself yelling at the screen, saying "drop the bloody reel. Get the fish in first. We're going to be here all day.". It's called being efficient. Trust me it is easier for the solo sailor. Having lived through 74 summers, I am able to still enjoy sailing from my arm chair. Looking back I see I've got a lot of binge watching before I catchup. Take care and atb from down here. Until next time. Bon voyage.
