Well that was his life he has no life now and they did not respect his family and his right to a life so why would he respect theirs? It's not an "excuse" it's cause and effect.
I don't think so I think he hates himself for not saving them and the vengeance eases his feelings of guilt. Should the soldier hate himself for killing a terrorist or the cop for killing a would be murder? It's not an "excuse" it's a job to him that's all he has now is his work.
this was such an awesome series but when you really think about his story its fuckin heart breaking. he lost his family, his best friends turned on him, all he he has left is pain and death

Just watched seasons 1 & 2 again for the 4th time, and we get the news Marvel is making a season 3 with Jon Bernthol returning 🙌🤞 I've never been so happy and excited for a tv show before
