It's almost wintertime here, and the cold weather always makes my asthma flare up. One thing you can do to help is cover your mouth and nose with a cloth of some sort, I used a scarf for taking a walk with my mom.

Hey guys, just wanna share my experience with asthma here.
I was diagnosed with asthma when I was about two, and it came as no surprise since my grandmother had really bad asthma. So when I was small, I would have to spend a night or two at the hospital every week. It went like that until I was 7. I got better and didn’t have to use preventative meds anymore. In the next 5 years, I would
only have a few problems with breathing that would immediately go away when I used Ventolin. And when I came into adolescence, my doctor thought that my asthma had completely went away.
However, this afternoon when I was at school, an attack suddenly strike. I couldn’t breath at all and had to go to the hospital. Now I’m feeling better but that was scary. It has been about 2-3 years since I last had any problem breathing, and almost 7 years since an attack this bad. I never expected that I would have to experience this again after that long.
Doctors think this sudden attack was triggered by air pollution, as the pollution in my city has been pretty bad the last 2 months. My doctor told my mother and I that most asthma patients they have treated this week are teenagers, and some didn’t even have any past asthma attack. It just came out of the blues and completely terrified their parents, as their children have never had this crazy thing before.
All and all, I think that air pollution worsens our asthma a lot. It’s scary how random an asthma attack can come so if you have any past attack, or are allergic to a few things, make sure to bring your inhaler with you. It may save your life.

Today I got diagnosed with it today. it really is a scary thing to go through but im very glad ur okay!

thankfully my asthma is minor, but exercising really gets it going. i once almost passed out from asthma on my birthday due to my teacher who forced me to run longer. my doctors had me take an allergy test to see if anything is making it worse. only dust mites came back positive for me to be allergic to. on new years eve i had an asthma attack and my mom was wondering why i was panicking, for all dhe knows, it was a coughing fit. but boy oh boy do i feel so much pain. i had to explain to her that my throat feels weird and how i get this weird taste and how my head hurts from it feeling cold under my skin. its weird to explain it, but it just feels absolutely miserable

  • @sirshrooma
    @sirshrooma 5 лет назад +10

Ive had a form of asthma my whole life but my mother chose to overlook it and never let me get medically examined for it. I used to be very active and sporty when i was younger. I thought violent coughing fits, excess mucus build up, the taste of blood, and trying to 'catch my breath' for hours after was normal for exercise, in hindsight thats incredibly ridiculous. I'm now a sophmore in College and I've never had this issue addressed because of my parents stubborn perspective, and asthma is still with me. I'm going to take the first step and get medically examined and hopefully learn how to be healthy and fit despite my circumstances; anyone who is not getting proper treatment in childhood should ask for help, if not your parents maybe your school can direct you to the help you need.

Did you know that some researchers found that food sensitivities played a role in 25-90% of asthma cases? You could try a basic gluten/dairy/eggs/soy free eating plan, or talk to a healthcare provider about trying elemental formula or mediator release testing. Just remember it's most helpful to work with a health professional on these things and have an epipen on hand when reintroducing foods, in case they trigger a reaction!

I was 4 or 5, when it happened. I remember waking up, and my mum telling me to go into an ambulance because I had just had my first asthma attack. I had been born with it, but it had never flared up as quite bad as it did when I was 4-9.
I was sent into an ambulance, and these people were asking me questions, checking my blood pressure. Their voices were so soothing but so crowded. I then was sent into the children’s ward, I don’t remember much from that day, but the next thing I knew I woke up in a clean hospital bed with a tag strapped to my wrist and in an hospital gown, and my mum, she was so sweet. She bought me chocolate muffins from costa, but still made me share one with my sister, because Eh. And then I was on inhalers from 4-9.
I’m 11 now, and I’m back on inhalers.

It is not if you have asthma or not what matters is at which level your asthma is, you just need to follow a healthy diet, may you know that when the amount of cough increase in our body the asthma problem also increases so eat healthy food, avoid food which can increase the amount of cough in you body like banana, biscuits, cakes, dairy products etc ,I'm an asthma patient but I use my inhaler when I feel problem while inhaling (normally once or twice a week)take care of your diet that's it and according to ayurveda try pranayam its an lung exercise which help to keep our lung strong and heathy :follow what I said and you will definitely see results😊

I have asthma I was born with it and my inhailer and just listen
I was sitting in class and a bully didn't know what my inhailer was so took it out of my bookbag, I had an asma attack squeeled really loud (because you can not talk) then I got up tapped me teacher on the shoulder and pointed to my bookbag so, the teacher went over to it and I showed her my inhailer she got it out and saw it was broken she ran out of class and wisperlly-shouted "go to the nurse now", she want back in class and told my classmates what was happening, a kid came down and ran with me, I fainted in the middle of running so she carried me the rest of the way, when a teacher saw and herd what happend she did the same, I made it to the nurse un-conches and I went to the hospital, they gave me a better inhailer and the breathing machine thing (I do not know what it is called because when I woke up I was dizzy) I woke up (dizzy) and asked a lot of questons, my mum (mom) answerd them all
    Then we went home
I havd had more of these stories happen.
When I was born I had a cord around my neck and the docter cut it but I still wasn't breathing so I was put in a glass tank for 5 months then made it out.
That is 2 times my asthma as strook.

1981, Sechenov’s Med Inst, Moscow, USSR (asthma, with pneumonia, rhinitis, chronic tonsillitis)
52 children (34 in-patients and 18 out-patients; 3-15 years old) with regular asthma attacks (once per day or more); 41 of them had pneumonia, 27 rhinitis, 36 chronic tonsillitis. All had problems with breathing through the nose, palpitations, and were bronchodilator users. In 1-5 days the patients were able to stop the attacks, cough, blocked nose, and wheezing, using the method. Observations in 1-3 months showed considerable improvements (cessation of heavy attacks or a total disappearance of the symptoms) in 83%, some improvement (less heavy attacks and considerable reduction in medication) in remaining 17%. Their average CP increased from 4 to 30 s, aCO2 from 25 to 36 mm Hg. Higher blood concentrations of IgA, IgM, IgG, and IgE were found, according to laboratory reports. Blood pressure normalised, forced expiratory volume raised over 5 times. Significant increases in lung volume, expiratory speed, and other parameters were found. Average breath holding time (CP) increased from about 3-6 s to over 30 s.

I dropped my inhaler and a teacher saw me. She immediately tried to help. My latest asthma attack was two years ago. In September.

The cold (even like 50 degrees) makes me unable to breathe. If I get even the least bit sick I have to do a nebulizer. It's more embarrassing than anything else. I do suggest deep breathing exercises. I breathe very slowly and for the most part I don't have issues. But it was a very conscious effort at first. From being a musician and managing my breathing specifically for music I figured out that the exercises really have a lot of benefits.

Idk if I have asthma but a few time a year I find myself having possible symptoms. For example, I was taking a state test (I had happened to be having a lot of allergies) and out of no where’s I started coughing uncontrollably and I couldn’t catch my breath because I felt like my trachea was closing up. (Once I realized I couldn’t stop coughing I start panicking, which made it even harder to breathe.) The classroom was so quiet and all you were able to hear was me coughing and trying to breath, so the teacher asked if I wanted to water so I did but when I got water it didn’t help at all, if anything it made it harder to stop coughing. I then went back to class still coughing like crazy and went straight to the teachers desk standing there for 15 seconds trying to ask if I could go to the nurse. I could tell he didn’t understand what I was saying but he was able to figure out what I was saying by my body language. Once I went to the nurse all she was able to do was give me a little cup with warm water and salt to gurgle but it didn’t go away right away. Eventually, about 5 minutes later, i had finally stopped coughing completely but still had shortening of breathe. Things I have always notice during these time is when I would inhale I feel as if the air is very cold and thin. I also have noticed that this usually happens in the winter and spring. I’m not sure what to think of this.🤷🏻‍♀️

    I have asthma right now
Asthma feels like when you inhale something is like blocking your lungs so you can't properly breath,so your breathing isn't normal and its fast, its hard to breath and you cough so much, you can't laugh, play, and sing while having an asthma,it feels uncomfortable, like too much, and when you force yourself to inhale fully your chest will feel like heavy and like something is hurting it,the easiest and fastest way to get rid of it is the machine that when you put medicine(asthma relieve medicine)and put it I the container and put the mask connected in the machine it will help relief.but if you tatse it its salty so don't even try,my mom doesn't even care, she said I just need to sleep it out.DOES SHE WANT ME TO DIE BECUASE OF ASTHMA?! See ya I can't breath and I'm trying to control it but I fail.ok I'm serious it really makes me nauseus and want to faint. This is probably my 5th or 6th asthma attack.my lungs feels like its going to explode In any minute.I can't even talk properly,it stops me,its suffocating me,damn this covid! Now if I had an accident(faint) I couldn't be rushed in the hospital.I mean,I don't wanna die!it feels Like something is chocking me. Okay I'm not joking while I'm typing this I'm describing how I feel like now..I feel like I'm going to black out..I think I'm having a panic attack too...my legs are shaking my whole body is shaking...I don't know what to relieve first!

For me personally it's feels like someone is pressing down on your chest and slightly around my throat. It gets to the point where I end up stretching up my neck/head to try and get more air. Then it gets to the point where I can't stand and fall or pass out. You can't speak when having an attack so try and get someones attention by tapping them on the shoulders or making a noise with an object to alert others to you. Always keep a spare inhaler on you in case your first one runs out.

Hi. My experience with adults (not for children or pregnant women). "Everyday", take one organic vitamin Zinc @75mg for a 150 pound person. Make sure to take vitamin Zinc with food in the stomach. Also, one vitamin C. (perhaps, 100mg). After 3/4 months, people call me to tell me that the asthma is gone. Asthma is not supposed to come back if you are constant each and every day with the vitamins. I have asthma when I was little I played soccer my asthma made it hard and I had to sit out in most games. The coach didn’t understand how I needed my inhaler. I couldn’t run full around the field. But now that I am older. It’s my senior year I decided to do cross country. It is so hard because it slows me down. But I have been improving. And that feeling as if you’re going to die. I’ve been training my brain. I keep pushing. Today I collapsed. Luckily it wasn’t bad. I try not to use my inhaler often. But I’m saying you can do it don’t quit on the first day. Just keep pushing yourself. I won’t let something I like get in the way of me. It can be embarrassing when you’re the only one behind. Even though it’s only induced it’s really hard. And what else is hard is telling between a panic attack or if it’s asthma attack.

I always had trouble breathing during sports classes at school but never linked it to this. Then a few days ago, about 20 years after these diagnosis, I suddently had a terrible asthma attack and had to be rushed to the ER by ambulance. It started as catching a simple cold but then I felt trouble breathing, exactly as described in the video: just like if someone was sitting on my lungs. It's terrifying how it can return at any moment.

Whenever I get an asthma attack it gets ten folds worse because i keep coughing while tying to breathe, it's only mild though so I do consider myself lucky.

A visible sign to tell someone has an asthma attack is the presence of what seems to be 'hole' on the middle part of the collar bone. When breathing normally, the 'hole' is not deep, but when there's an asthma attack, it deepens.

I have a slight of asthma (it's not that bad, I haven't been to hospital because of it, but sometimes I get an attack. But last week my classmate got an asthma attack on P.E., she really looked like she was gonna pass out, but luckily I ran off to get her inhaler and helped her. (Lucky her) Anyway, it felt so good that I could help her and knew what to do. Most of my classmates were just standing there, all shocked and didn't know what do do. I know how scary it is to have an attack or to see someone having an attack. It's the worst when you see your friend like dying and can't breathe and you want to help her, but you just can't, or when you're having an attack and that feeling when you're like:'So this is how my life is gonna end...I guess these are my final moments...I can't-..br-...eathe!'

I can relate to the “breathing through a straw” part, but idk if I have asthma. When I run or walk really fast I get this weird feeling when I breathe. Like, I can breathe normally, but it feels like I can’t get enough air into my lungs. Not like I’m choking or like I can’t breathe, but like if I could just get a bit more air then it would be enough. I breathe heavily for 10+ mins after running, and I’ve begun to wheeze when I exercise. My heart valves also close at different times, so maybe that’s it.

In the morning i had so much mucus and could hardly breathe. The doctor prescribed me a stronger inhaler. But the good thing is that you can control it and make symptoms disappear or soften

I have mild asthma, and even though it’s just mild, it’s still awful.
Once I had such a tight chest I could barely breathe, I tried taking deep breaths, but those just caused an itchy, painful feeling in my chest, and made my throat feel blunt.
It also caused vomiting, and an extremely sore stomach, and I kept feeling to hot from the stress of having difficulty breathing, and having to go the toilet because of all the water I was drinking.
My chest wouldn’t let me get to sleep, since it’s worse when I’m lying down, and I got so tried I felt dizzy, started to black out, felt like I would pass out, so I ended up falling asleep on top of the covers, since it was to hot under them.
I got about half another of sleep, since it was LATE morning before I knew it, because I had feel asleep long past midnight.
