As someone with a goth partner, I hear gossip and people judging them all the time. It hurts but they're able to push through it and I'm so proud of them. Why wouldn't she stop dressing that way. I dressed like a total nerd too. I got bullied for it. Then I started dressing cooler. The bullying didn't go away completely, but it diminished.

Ruby looks so like my friend Eloise. Eloise is the toughest fighter on earth, dealing with family issues while getting the right A levels in order to go to uni. While battling cancer at the same time. I haven't seen Eloise in so long but I see her in Ruby and that's a great feeling.

Don't matter if that is goth they are the kindest and caring people I know that I went to high school with goth a girl and we talked at lunch time alot and we became really good friends. She completed school year after I did. At times I think of her to this day.

Let me tell you I’ve been around goth and they’re actually really great people to be around, just because they have a different way of showing off their clothes and their personality doesn’t make them a bad person. It’s like when you have a friend who just wore all black for one day, you’re not going to assume right away that they’re on drugs or part of some gang. There are different people in the world with different personality traits, stop treating them like they don’t fit in this world ❤️❤️❤️

This was such a great lesson. it doesn't matter who you are, your personality or your style. this is a lesson that shows you that you should always accept others, and not being disrespectful just because of somebody appearance.

My best friend is a Goth and I adore her so damn much. She is one of my favorite people. So it really upsets me when people misjudge people who like the gothic style. Like just because they "look shady/scary" doesn't mean that they actually are. Some Goths are actually the nicest people you'll meet.

The dad really is just like mine when my mom criticized me a lot when I was younger for being how I am and my father always backed her up I relate a lot to this story but not the end
The stepmother is a bad mother for being so abusive, and the father is a bad father for not standing up for his daughter from the very beginning. He should have kicked the stepmother out early on, or left with his daughter. He definitely chose the stepmother over his own daughter, and that would be emotionally devastating for the daughter, regardless of the end outcome shown here. A woman as toxic as the stepmother does not change, at least nowhere near that quickly, and someone like that typically doesn't give a damn if they turned out to be wrong.
