1967 what a year, I was 12 years old, I used to wake up with Radio 1 blasting in my ear with Tony Blackburn before school, great music one of the all time classics of 67, and Super Nevile you are quite correct this was a wake up call for the Beatles, the Stones , Moody Blues, The Herd came out of nowhere really and shook them up a tad, great song, great composition, happier days
David Moyes I was 13 in 67. And i think most of us had radio 1 on . I can remember .Tony Blackburn the first record. The move flowers in the rain. Now I'm old and over the hill. Great memories and good music.
I was about three years younger than you when this was in the charts. I loved it back then and I still love it today. Beats any of today's stuff hands-down.
SpittingMage And they didn't have the "pop legacy" that they have now. This was all...lets try something different...lets try and out freak the Beatles/Stones etc ...a truely wonderful "pushing the boundaries" time.
This is an all time classic, epitomises the flower power era of the 60s perfectly, love this song so much... thanks for this rare video of The Herd with the brilliant Peter Frampton on lead vocals...
Always loved The Herd and this particular song as it is about Orpheus and Eurydice. Because another passion of mine (apart from Playford Dancing) is Greek Mythology.
That's Francoise, and she's looking splendid in that Southwestern Native American outfit, but I have no idea why's she's here, except as eye candy? Great singer, though and quite a career.
hi guys. seems, as if we were all kind of young. nevertheless, this music is the best there ever was. lets hold on to it. dont let them take that away, too. love and peace.
Frampton Does NOT play on this record - It is just Andy Bown singing with an orchestra and session players - I read that in an interview with Framprton
I was 15yrs old and this still sounds as good as back then. How lucky to have lived through that time..

Wonderful song, with a very young Peter Frampton.
One of my favorite songs from the summer of love.
Oh, that wonderful, typical 60's sound. Love it !
Das ist noch echte super Musik, geht unter die Haut
One of my favorite songs!!!!!
I was only four at that time. But the song stuck like so many from that time. Greatest decade for music I would say.
Brilliant. This sounds just as fresh, modern and exciting as it did 55 years ago. A real gem.
What wonderful words. No songs are written like this anymore. My love to Peter. xxx
I saw them at streatham ice rink and I still have the origional LP from the 60s. still play it
The herd where a very underrated group.peter frampton was still is a fantastic singer
Up there in my all time top 20, believe me, ive heard many ;)
Very underated band..great track
Rediscovered this track a few years ago. It was certainly underrated and only the chosen few keep this track alive...
17 when this came out, great record then, can still hold it's own at the side of today's music.
Same age as Peter Frampton. Does any of "today's music" refer to Greek Tragedy?
I was about three years younger than you when this was in the charts. I loved it back then and I still love it today. Beats any of today's stuff hands-down.
Peter Framptom was called The Face Of 67.
This is great, beautiful, wonderful, fabulous. Thank you Linda!!!!!
The year I left school. started work.
Very enjoyable year. This song was amazing to this day
One great track from the Herd yes a 1967 classic
Super Song 👍👍
So much good stuff in the 60's that a gem like this can remain virtually forgotten - apart from amongst the cognoscenti ✌️
I like this song. Always sixties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were great live! I remember catching them at Kingston Granada in '67 or '68 on one of those package tours.
My elder brother got a radiogram for his 18th in 1967 and the very first single he bought was this one. Brilliant tune.
Yet still the best lyrics ever (and clear, to hear...) 1967 was a good year. What happened to Peter Frampton?
great song xxxxx
Saw them live when I was 16. Fabulous
This is just a PERFECT song and production......rythmn loops - way back then - but played by humans !! great stuff.
How much more creative the sixties were than now.
SpittingMage And they didn't have the "pop legacy" that they have now. This was all...lets try something different...lets try and out freak the Beatles/Stones etc ...a truely wonderful "pushing the boundaries" time.
+SuperNevile Anyone would think it was all their own work! Don't even go there!
Andy Thomas Speaking generally not specifically
SuperNevile
Every decade it is getting worser

Oh hell. Memories. I was a mod. In that time. Mini. Scooters. Booze. Happy days. I'm 70 now. Wish I. Could go back
my most loved Herd song..♡♡♡
Classic piece of 60s Music, we don't get the same these days.
super
truly wonderful video, thanks. One of my prized 45s I will spin it this Friday on my pub gig just for you
Superbe ! Françoise tu est la reine de la coolitude !
Looks like Francoise Hardy in the audience. This is different from the usual verse chorus and is all the better for that.
That's Francoise, and she's looking splendid in that Southwestern Native American outfit, but I have no idea why's she's here, except as eye candy? Great singer, though and quite a career.
What a wonderful video , I hope nobody gets mean and has it removed. I never thought I'd see them again, thankyou
Bob Green, me too in Germany

Frampton Does NOT play on this record - It is just Andy Bown singing with an orchestra and session players - I read that in an interview with Framprton
True. No playing. Frampton does sing lead on the song, however. Bown's singing consisted of helping with all the AAHHHS in the background.
