  • Welcome to Wow! Crochet. This tutorial is based on a Basic Crochet Messy Bun Beanie. We'll learn how to crochet this lovely beanie for women and/or men. This solid Unisex Crocheted Beanie will keep you both warm and looking fabulous at the same time. The stitches used are chain stitch, single crochet, half double in back loops and half double crochet in front loops crochet. Including a slip knot.

    Great pattern. I choosed this one because I needed a beanie for running. Beanies always struggle my hair. So this one with the hole is great for my running activities.

      Firstly thank you for watching. Yes you can use sock yarn. Just make sure you measure your ribbing piece before joining it. I have made the same beanie in 8ply cotton as well. Because I cannot wear wool. Sad I know but true 😁. Good luck and happy crocheting to you 👍🧶

    How would I make adjustments for size 5 yarn that recommends L hook?

      Hi Stephen, the length of this beanie is 20cm or 7.874inches. In reference to the circumference it is 58cm or 22.835 inches. Hope this helps

      Sorry I disagree and say you are not to close in your tutorials, yes you may accidently zoom in to close but for all of your tutorials you are bang on keep what you are doing Mary Great work!!!
