- In this video, I showcase how I install the FIGS Engineering Precision Bearing Bushings which are solid bushings. I also do a comparison of previous bushings and a small review of FIGS product. Big fan of you going over every detail on what u do to take quality care of your rcf making it look easy and affordable you have made me decide on getting my own rcf myself getting incognito gray with carbon package roof ect hopefully I can find one new or with less then 30k on the dash

Thanks Mike. Yeah I quickly went to a Post Lift and just recorded what I needed to replace in the video and emphasized it with wording so there are no repeats of my mistake haha.

The spherical bushings instantly felt more responsive when I put it in reverse for first time after installing. Driving forward was much noticeable improvement in responsiveness too.
i have a 2020 IS350 F-Sport. Looking to change the stock bushings. What's the difference between solid and poly. and what do you recommend

Hi there great video one question when you have the rr racing when you bracking the tires still shaking
There will always be a slight dynamic movement from braking. Our LCA bushing #1 which is the bushing next to the LCA bushing is still poly. Dura 95 which is rr racing usrs is not solid so there is still a chance for slight movement but it is very good still. I on the other hand needed something more so I went to FIGS solid bushing LCA to prevent the most shake. Both is great but FIGS solid bushing is solid. Solid is very good.
Great video Barry, thanks for the upload, I'm considering upgrading to help with tire wear but I don't track my car heavily like you but do go on track events just for the occasional spirited runs. Do you recommend FIGS solid for my use or the RR Poly version, again, my main is to improve steering/feel but mostly save my tires from uneven wear after lowering.
Thanks Keoni! Thanks for subbing! I could be biased but I think everyone would benefit more with solids from FIGS. Ming has them too. There was still a bit of front shake even when I had USRS, but now its really really minimal. Both however is a major improvement over stock but figs is like a 10/10, usrs is 7/10, stock is 1/10 for a scale of performance.

@@VR408 i do. With stock suspension, you wont feel any nvh changes. I think its when you switch to coilovers or something else is when you feel nvh but i overall dont feel nvh from this even while on coilovers

Just placed my order from FIGS after seeing your video XD. Me too I have the RR USRS now. Since I do go on track often, I decide to get some solid bushing. How is the NVM compared to the RR USRS?
Glad you made the move, it is the same NVH amount. USRS didn't even have NVH in my opinion and neither does this. Unless you had NVM from it.

Hey what's up! Welcome back. So I HIGHLY recommend these FIGS precision bearing bushings because the tire does not shake on braking, the car drives straighter on acceleration, the corner steering is really precise like the name. I also have TOMS bracing under the chassis. I have CKS 1 way adjustable coilovers but I can tell you now that 2 way will feel a lot more planted. Get yourself a front and rear chassis brace. Im going to eventually swap out the stock triangular under body brace you see in this video to Cusco.
The easiest and the best mod is to do tires. The stock suspension is great for doing track days. It was designed very well to handle both streets and tracks as well as the chassis unless you are into competitive time attacks and then coilovers would be a good idea. The tires were a huge let down. Super Sports are way too soft on the track. Upgraded to Extra Load version of Pilot Sport 4S and huge difference both on the track and streets. Sidewalls don't flex like they used to and steering sharpness definitely improves a lot. Under heavy cornering, the stock tires started to crumble, but these tires remain rock solid.

What’s up twin!? I have an off subject question to ask you.. the carbon fiber you have on your front finder, does if fit right and tight? Or if you had to do it again, would you just get the carbon fiber “ish” sheet? Haven’t seen either in real life and there is a big price difference between the two.. thanks brotha 😎
I would do the artisan spirit carbon fiber fender duct again. I would do the vinyl fender side if the car is oem black. I would use a satin black to highlight that area. It fits but I used black silicone to get a tighter fit and its a stronger adhesive than the 3m. I did have to force curve one slightly more than the other.
What sand paper grit did you use to remove the rust to get the caster spacer to go on all the way?
I used 80 in this video I believe.

Hi Jerry. No there is no noise from the bearing that people instantly assume there is.
@@thehuangbros I see, and also is there any maintenance need to do like lube the bearing every 10k miles something like that?
jerry sun Great question. There is if it starts squeaking. If. I don’t know of the maintenance that comes with these yet but I do know that you can add a certain lubricant when the noise does come about.

I'm going with the Fig's poly ones. I don't think I could handle the solid bushings honestly. I feel like the NVH is going to be greatly increased. .I mean it has to, it's solid. Mainly doing it to save tires on my 2020 rcf. I've read too many things on the RR racing bushing making noise. But I think the Figs is going to be the perfect balance from the extreme ends via, solid vs stock,... Figs poly is right in the middle. Plus I like that their brackets are gray now with purple/bluish bushings.
Just from my experience, there are no difference in nvh between the two. Good shocks will soak it up. The car gets more nvh from engine mounts than the LCA bushings
@@thehuangbros Interesting! I would have thought the solid would have been way noiser... I can't get over how hard this is to make a damn decision on which LCA bushings to get...lol. I don't want inner tire wear that's for sure.

I had my RR USRS on for about 4 years and decided to go back to stock for noise and vibration. It was just too much for my taste.
The Poly Figs make squeaking noise at cold temperature when the grease runs out.
What made you switch from the RR bushings to Figs?
Hi Jatin. What made me switch was I came back from the Buttonwillow And Laguna Seca Track the same weekend so back to back track. Both of my front tires were stressed and were tearing from the inner tire that goes on the wheel. Its not the USRS fault, my 265 on a 20x9.5 was a bit more stretched than I liked or it could of been me hitting the rumble strips at Laguna Seca. Overall, poly dura is still a bit of flex, so I switched over to FIGS solids because essentially its no flex for when I brake and hit rumble strips. Im just trying to save my tires. Again nothing wrong with USRS but For my activities, I think I need a little more and thats where FIGS came in.

Funny thing is, I read your post on fb. Ill have to look back into my records but I have had to buy the part separately at Toyota for a friend. I know its labeled as flange nut when I picked it up.

Part Number 90179-16004. You can buy from Lexus or Toyota. But just double check with them that it is the 22mm that you need.

In your opinion, Figs vs RR?
Its depends on which material. There are solids and then there is poly dura. I have figs solids and had rr racing poly dura. Both are same effect but different classification.
Are those new design? I must have the old purple ones.
So turns out FIGS had these for a long long time. Just no one really looked for it.

@@jsaldanagto24 proabably not but most will do it this way then drive then lift up again to torque again after it settles in. Unless you have a method that allows you to torque things down without space under the car....
Just picked up a set. But waiting on wheels to show up before put them on. Don't want to pay for 2 alignments.
The bushings mess with the alignment very very minimal and you wont even feel the difference. I didnt get an alignment after and it was fine. Its all minimal movements to install the bushings
I just bought those RR Racing Bushings why did you remove yours?
Because at the time they did not have solid bushings for the LCA.

@@jahenry2 not at all. They worked really good. No squeaks or anything. I just needed something solid at the time for what I do. If you don't like NVH then the usrs is best even though these solid bushings don't have NVH to me. subjective of course.

nope. It is absolutely fantastic still.

You need alignment right after installing this.
Indeed. I installed it incorrectly at my frontyard and then ask FIGS and he told me it was on reversed. After reversing them, the alignment did get off.
@@thehuangbros Yeah, get the alignment ASAP otherwise, you might feel the car does not drive quite right.
KLRGT500KR an issue for me right now is the spots around me aren’t so motorsport friendly so not too many places can do alignment on lowered cars.

The orange face yeah. So i had to flip them back. That is why you see different settings. It through the caster off by 0.5

@@randobuy the orange plate facing towards front of car. The scenes where I had the car on a lift is correct. The scenes where I had it on jack stands is incorrect

@@randobuy the first time Installed USRS I did not need to. Installing these ones I did not need to. But it does help to verify. If you don’t move the shocks mess with any other bushings then itll be ok.

Hi everyone, from what I have read here and watch most videos, they are replacing them because inner tire ware. IMO save your money and stick with OEM, just replaced the old and in with a New, not only you will have comfort and a new alignment done you would have save some money and tire ware. Now if your car is used for track purposes then I can see this will be ideal. For street use stay stock and replace when they get old or show signs of cracks.
