I never understood Thanos's motivation..? I mean on the surface
( the way they explain it ..THAT makes sense and I even agree with him in the abstract ) but if you forget that the comic needs some contrived narrative for the story...and take it at face value ( which you SHOULD be able to do with good writing)
Thanos is one of the most intelligent beings and with the glove can write reality...WHY WOULDN'T HE SIMPLY DOUBLE THE GALAXY'S RECOURCES ?!
( I mean obviously because then there'd be no conflict so no story ) but just from a logical point of view ...hell -
QUADRUPLE it ! Set up a natural mechanism that will expand every resource so as to always have it be double whatever's needed. No avengers conflict etc. He'd be worshiped loved and adored which is what he really wants. As for the whole DEATH thing..if he's really even moderately intelligent than he understands that the way to win deaths desire..
(Like ALL women is NOT to admire them, treat them well,do whatever they ask..there lay the dreaded FRIEND ZONE ) if he wants her to want him he's gotta stop all deaths of any kind etc..take over her realm..change the power dynamic. I KNOW that people will freak out about me saying that and I TRULY WISH that it wasn't true...but we all know that 99% of the time it is. Which is NOT to say it needs to stay that way and in most relationships it doesn't and shouldn't ! But if you look back to the moment that she "fell" for him he had power- he was her boss, teacher, older, in a higher social or financial bracket etc. Later you can be equal..but not always..not if you want to keep her..
He is simping for Mistress Death (the embodiment of death). This is not a joke. He thinks she’ll love him if he kills for her.
That was a mediocre tale at best
