  • (Planespotting video #15. To see all my planespotting videos, visit • Planespotting videos ) Here's a video of widebody landings and departures at DFW, including an A380 go-around! Narrowbody and cargo aircraft views come after (around the 13-minute mark). You'll see mostly AA aircraft, but also some foreign widebodies. Hope you enjoy!

    great video, I didn't start coming to DFW to film and spot until just last year so I never had a chance to see American 757/767 or the Qantas A380, this makes me feel like I was there!

      Agreed, I always take the Qantas route when flying from Australia to the US. It's 15 hours from Sydney to Dallas but its great :)

    Very nice video! Perhaps the best plane spotting video from Dallas!

      Haha, I highly doubt that! But there probably aren't many 4K vids out yet.

    Amazing video! Good to know that Dallas Fortworth is a large airport can take jumbos and not just a lot of small regional jets like bak in the 80s

    Awesome video as always. I've enjoyed your channel for a few years now (especially the airport tours). Have you considered doing Dallas Love Field since you already covered Houston's Hobby Airport?

    Dunno why, but I love the chrome-bodied AA's you have over the pond.

    • @KBurchfiel
      @KBurchfiel  8 лет назад

      Yes, me too! They are quickly disappearing so I like to record them, even if they're not widebodies. Some of them might come to Manchester--I'm not sure. They're AA's old livery and were around for decades, including in the UK. But now they appear mostly limited to domestic routes.

    • @tclark1122
      @tclark1122 5 лет назад

      Yeah, I was actually at the airport myself today, and was thinking the same thing that the chrome bodied AA planes were getting more and more scarce.

    • @tclark1122
      @tclark1122 5 лет назад

      But I got to say I love the flag painted tail on the new ones. Specially when you see it taking off and landing.

    • @tclark1122
      @tclark1122 5 лет назад

      But think about this possibility too,, what about a chrome bodied AA plane, with the painted tail? Now that would be awesome!

      I have no idea :D It's a Panasonic HC-VX870K, so I just used the lens that it comes with. (It's not detachable.)

    Hey everyone, if there's no 4K playback option available, come back to the video later--it takes RUclips a little while to process the video and enable it.

    • @KBurchfiel
      @KBurchfiel  8 лет назад

      Oh good, looks like there's now a 4K option. It took a couple hours after the video uploaded.

    Why did Emirates stop flying the A380 to/from DFW? Great vid btw

    • @KBurchfiel
      @KBurchfiel  8 лет назад

      The news is that they'll bring it back in the fall. This article suggests that the DFW-DXB A380 route was only half full some months: www.star-telegram.com/news/business/aviation/sky-talk-blog/article53118525.html

      Sadly, DFW is getting the 773 for the foreseeable future. "What Sir Tim Clark, giveth, Sir Tim taketh away".

    • @edwardwilcox6606
      @edwardwilcox6606 8 лет назад

      Sir Tim has to make decisions in the best interests of his airline I guess.....he's got a great track record of success at Emirates. Hopefully the A380 will be back in due course.

    curious... What do you do when approached by security? I found out Denver Int'l doesn't like people to take the back roads to plane spot.

    • @KBurchfiel
      @KBurchfiel  8 лет назад

      You should only spot where you're allowed to--this is a public planespotting area :)

  • @hughjanus4122
    @hughjanus4122 5 лет назад

    I miss going there; moved away 7 years ago. I remember when the observation area was on the south side and the planes would taxi within 30 feet of the parking lot. 9/11 ruined that.

    how can to/from be CDG/MAD if it's landing in DFW?

    • @KBurchfiel
      @KBurchfiel  7 лет назад

      Kevin O'Hara Good question! That means it arrived in DFW from CDG, and will depart to Madrid. So the route is CDG-DFW-MAD. I leave out the DFW because it's implied that the plane is arriving there.
