Yes thanks, this video has been a great help. My short test flight from Edinburgh to Glasgow was a success after I realised that I need to manually select a ILS approach in the flight planner screen, previously I’d been using the auto approach setting and wondering why it wasn’t navigating correctly.
@@sneeks brilliant news! We do have a guide for flight planning on the channel if you need it. But it sounds like you’ve got things worked out now. Well done getting the plane down, it’s harder than it looks!

This is genuinely such a good tutorial I couldn’t really understand other ones but this one was very detailed and explained throughly just enough for starters I had a really smooth landing and approach and was so satisfying

Another tip, make sure your throttles are lined up with the climb detent. It is the first little arrow on the throttle labelled either CL or CLB. When you see the LVR CLB message flashing on the display screen, move it to that position. Despite it's name, the position will mange the throttle for the entire flight, including descent and approach. Then you just pull back to idle to land

This was amazing! Worked first time for a different route, will take a while to get the controls down to memory but for now I'll be using these videos for every flight :) Its so hard as a beginner and overwhelming with all the controls especially on xbox but you've made it so easy to do a complete flight, so thank you!

Just watched the three A320 tutorials and it really helps a lot. From Vancouver to Seattle with a smooth landing finish! Best tutorial and easy to understand. It's my first time playing it on a cold start as well. I'll be watching the startup for a while until i memorized all the switches. Thanks for this bro!

I sometimes find it funny how little info the in-game training flights actually have and how much is left for the user to figure out through other ways.

It is crazy how little the game teaches you, especially when there is so much to each aircraft
You would have hated games in the 80 then. lol There was no other option we just had to figure it out. Of course I got it wrong most of the time. These videos have improved my flying and landing 150%!

This was yet another amazing explanation, agreed that ATC doesn't give you enough time to land or when you see your close and want to start descending, they tell you to maintain your flight level lol!

Mate, your videos are - in my humble opinion - the best on RUclips. Explained at every step, shown exactly what to do and what to look out for (other videos I found too complicated or, skipping information).
I just successfully imputed my ILS flight plan from LFPG, Paris to EGLI, London at nightime (live weather/time and I was up late).
Followed your other cracking video that got me up and in the air and this one got me down safely, back in good 'ole Blighty.

I watched a pilot trainee video for ILS A320 landing (linked below) and after he pressed the LS button, he then pressed LOC and APPR before the diamonds had intersected on the heading/altitude.
Is that possible in MSFS? Would it still work?

Every time I arrive on the final approach to the destinated lane the auto pilot makes me go around and around and doesn't land.
I wonder what I'm doing wrong.

I firstly always landed and approached manually, then switched to the 747. I watched the 747 ils video and didn’t really manage to get the descent right. This video has helped me find out when to descent and how to perfectly land. Thx for the video
Thanks for the video! I completed my first ever full flight thanks to you. MSFS glitched when I reached one of the waypoints and the nose of the plane shot upwards for no reason - kinda like the 737MAX lol 😂. But other than that, it was the smoothest flight ever! Thanks again.

I did a landing at Cardiff thanks to this. 2nd time around as the first time I forgot to idle the engines and overshot but it did the trick.

I’m brand new to MSFS - got an Xbox X and Velocity Flight Yoke just to learn how to sim - and after many botched nav and landing attempts started thinking if I’d wasted my cash!! (I’m not a ‘gamer’ by any means). But this video and your other A320 vids have helped massively! Just completed the same Manchester-Helsinki flight, now going to attempt to figure out another leg on my own… can’t thank you enough!

@@FishStakes I tried the EGCC-EFHK route one more time, and nailed the landing during a snow storm & zero visibility between 2000 until 800 feet! Proves your training works even in the worst weather 😁
I did get cocky and leave live weather on too, realised my error and just went with it!

so i have never in my flight sim days used all this stuff u have done in your last 3 videos... im a pc user and have followed your instructions from the simbrief video to the fms video now this one.. and yeah i managed to do what the plane is meant to do.. thank you for explaining things for total beginners.. unlike most of the other videos out their.. they seem to think u have half a clue.. new lease of life here now.. top class and im gona watch the rest of your videos..

Ive watched a lot of videos on descent and ILS landings. While I have learned a lot from others as well, your video was very straightforward, and actually simplified the process making all of the information needed for a successful landing very clear. After watching your video last week for the first time, I made a successful landing into KBOS. Watched it again, along with another video, and again made a successful ILS into KSTL. So two for two this week. Prior to that it was a mixed bag….lol. Thanks

My first ever a320 flight today , I used your tutorials for flight plan, start up and taxi and take off but then was like I'm grand I can land this bad boy well auto pilot can, didn't realize I had to set the altitude for the waypoints and set my flaps and my speed so when I got to my destination my plane was still at cruising altitude going 300 knots circling the runway while someone shouted overspeed at me repeatedly!

this has really helped me as I didn't know how to do things. I haven't perfectly performed your techniques yet but today was my first time trying and will keep doing it until I get it right. seemed to be at the end when I should be capturing the diamonds that should have lined up but fell alittle short of where it should be on the bottom diamond.
How did the landing go? If you bounced you may just be coming in a little too fast

THAT WAS SO USEFUL! Only thing I have to do is figure out what the PC keys are for a couple of the XBOX controls you use. I am using Honeycomb Brava and Yoke controls. But, wow, so little real flying involved in using flightplans and autopilot... but, it is obvious that flying large jets must require more computer management then a single engine prop plane that can be more easily maneuvered. I'm gobsmacked by how much fun you've provided... I can't wait to attempt a repeat of this trip on my own in conjunction with your video references. THANKS!!
