- One of the largest air exercises of the year is taking place in the skies over North Yorkshire, which has seen fast jets and helicopters all streaming in and out of RAF Leeming.
Run by the Joint Aviation Command, Exercise Hades Warrior has brought together 209 personnel from across all three services as an opportunity for military pilots to gain further qualifications and experience.

The Chinook is also used by the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force and Air Self-Defense Force. The soldier who has been an instructor for 10 years is a legend. I support the British Army from far away 🇬🇧 Japan.
There we are, the British army all in one Chinook. Makes me proud....
With only two Chinook and one Merlin operating, the RAF was able to give its newest carrot-slicer a taste of catering on exercise, without too many people going hungry...
Very cool. ❤🇺🇸
Very brilliant,my, REGARDS.
Brilliant 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Now days that's 50% of the uks helicopter fleet aha
If I’ve any concerns it’s can it all work if the internet goes down, which at the moment in time; N.H.S. Some Banks and Courier (Including Royal Mail) have been subject to a viral attack. Have we still got V.H.S/H.F. Communication, can they fly without being digitally compromised, has this been tested?
Timestamp 0:43 - 0:45 - FLt Fuller seems to have nearly used the Chinook's "affectionate" nickname, the "Sh!thook." Well... at least to me it seemed like that.

Is the LT merlinf pilot fromCHF from the Royal Marines? Can/do royals go to CHF?
While Royal Marines can go into CHF as pilots and I believe one somehow managed to fly chinooks with the RAF it’s not particularly common. Royal Marines can however go into CHF as aircrew but I think they have to be a corporal to do that
@@snowyowl7413 ahh ok thank you
Welcome mate
Significant air exercise = flying 40-year old aircraft involving 200 personnel. 😂
Perhaps English is not your first language, but "significant" in this context doesn't pertain to numbers. If you pay close attention, the aim of this exercise was to train seasoned instructors in new techniques, which will then be pass on to other pilots. And although the Chinook has been in service for 40 years, those new builds are less than 10 years old.
British army best in the world
