    I just restored my m3 subframe last week. Mine was not nearly as bad as yours. But for the inside I decided to just spray cavity wax to help mitigate further corrosion. I didn’t want to cut into it 😅

    The same happened to me with febi rear diff bush, leaked out in first 5 seconds of installation 😅 - I send it back and get refund, once leaking don't think is a good idea to be used anymore...

    I had so much trouble getting the diff bush out (over 30 hours) but i froze it to go in and I put it in by hand

    BMW surely did a sh*tty job regarding the corrosion protection of this part. I gotta say i would have bought a used one from ebay. You find them in good condition for ok price. Thats Not necessary with your welding skills 😮.
    Nice detailed Videos bro, keep it up. You have my sub.

      Thanks, i know about used one. After it was sandblasted and powder coated(when damaged revealed) it was already late to changed it with "new". Btw a lot of car suffer from similar rusted subframe, not only bmw)))

    Awesome work on your BMW and the video editing is also done well.
    Did you consider using a subframe from a donor car with less rust?

    • @mekanic3769
      @mekanic3769  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, it would be wiser choice. Unfortunately i found all the rust after all sandblasting and painting job which was done by side company
