- America's most infamous maximum security prison Alcatraz, home to the country's most dangerous criminals, is considered to be an impenetrable fortress. A group of prisoners, led by an armed robber and a gangster, are tired of living under the thumb of the strict warden and his sadistic guards. The inmates formulate an escape plan and on the 2nd of May 1946, their fight for freedom begins as they take several guards hostage and attempt to break out of the institution. But the prisoners didn't count on the Warden's determination to maintain Alcatraz's fearsome reputation.

Alcatraz the whole shocking story film from 1980s 😊
This is one of the good prison movies that isn't in black and white.far too any prison movies that were made in color(the shawshank redemption,the green mile,etc.) Make prison seem like a place to find inspiration,which it is NOT,and they overlook the violence that is present in them.but this is more old school,and it makes prison look like a place that you don't want to be,and to me,that's the point of prison movies

You're wrong. Escape from Alcatraz starring Clint Eastwood was a completely different prison break. Those.
Three got away. This is an actual different prison.Escape attempt from alcatraz that actually did occur, but they did not make it. Doc Barker and a few others also tried to escape from Alcatraz, and Doc Barker was shot and killed. This escape is when Robert Stroud( The bird man of Alcatraz) threw the weapons out the window at the end.
This is not worthy of Eastwood's name to be even attached to as a reference to this crappy movie if you ask me

They used the name clarence in this escape plot, Which shows this is a Fictional escape plot. Clarence Anglin And his brother John, Along with frank morris Did escape alcatraz.
This was the W O R S T Alcatraz movie that has ever been made.
The $$ must've run out even before the script was completed. And the costumes apparently had to be returned before the final scene was filmed.
The "actress" playing the part of the "sister" has never again seen a camera lens pointed in her direction since the lighting rented for this bomb was unplugged.
If you are here considering whether or not to watch this, instead ... go do anything. No, really, anything. Walk the dog, take out the trash, pay your cable bill, go on INDEED and apply for a job, close the door and abuse yourself.
